Hi Everyone,
Sorry I haven't been able to post, it's been a busy week and the weekend is going to be just as bad. They are predicting freezing rain and lots of snow and wind for Sunday, I just hope we don't lose power, We did a year ago and went without power for 5 days. No fun at all in the winter time. I'm going to try to get caught up, if I miss anything I'm sorry.

Diva-I'm glad you came back, I really appreciate your posts, and did not know you were having problems.

Soulbliss- Out of the Box challenge. Sounds like a good idea.

NoVaVTFan- I'm scale obcessed too, but only weight once a day in the morning, I do find that my weight is f;uctuating as much as 5 pounds or more in a week.

ggmugsy-Where do you find brown Basmati rice? I love jasmine rice, but would love to find a brown aromatic rice.

Chaquita-I love to sing in the car too, but my teenaged son hates it when I do. He about climbs under the seat when I sing with Werewolves of London and throw my head back and howl.

hsmomx2-Awesome weight loss.

For all the snow bunnies--How many of you are really sick of winter??
Me, Me, Me, I'm so ready for spring!!

LondonJulz-I didn't catch all the problems with your job, but I have left a job or two because of crap from management, and at least one paid very well. I offically retired from that one with a decent package.

For everyone else Have a great weekend, I think I might have to take a pass on the weighing unless Monday suprises me.

Well, we don't get much snow here and when we do it rarely last more than a day, most of the time just s few short hours, but I CAN say I am sick of cold, dreary, wet, cloudy weather! Today was AWESOME! Sunny and 60 degrees! It was bootiful and tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same! Sorry girls...but East TN weather is weird, we can have sunny and 60 one day and snow the next and then 2 days later sunny and 60 again, too weird...LOL! I think I am gonna go to the GYM again in the morning and get a work out in and hopefully see muscles again , hehe...then I think me and dude are gonna go fishing. I have so much more energy when I am working out. I love it.

I have no clue! lol. I just "happened" upon it one day. The best way I can tell you to get to it is to log in to your blog, then click the tab that says "Manage" from there click the tab that says "pages". At the bottom of that page there should be a link for "Create New Page". And TA-DA there you go!!!

Is couscous anything like rice? I have some brown rice and that recipe sounds like it'd be delicious in rice too! Yep, I am officially hungry now...lol

I will get measured on Monday, so I will let you all know!
Plateaus SUCK! I hovered between 195 and 198 for 2 solid months! I FINALLY broke that plateau this week!!! I think it's your body's way of "catching up" to the wonderfulness of the working out and eating right. Just keep doing what you're doing, knowing that the plateau has to end sometime.

Welp ladies, it's been a long day of running errands. The hubby and I are doing our FIRST Bridal Show (we are wedding photographers) on March 1, so we've been running around getting ready for it. I'm SOOO excited!!!!

When is the challenge starting, Soul? What are the general rules? Do we get points for every new thing tried.... or....?????? Pardon me if I missed this part somewhere else.

G'night girlies!!

Help! I ate more chocolate fondue tonight! DIVA: I should have invited you to dinner and maybe I wouldn't have had leftovers. I feel yucky.

I will be working out in the morning though. Maybe I can start the day off right!

Can't stay, but will check back in this weekend.

Hello and happy Saturday!

losinit- that's great about the inches! i have tried on a few articles of clothing that stopped fitting after awhile and they fit so much better! I can just tell that I look better in my clothes than before. Don't you just love shopping now!!

Julz- Thanks for the pep talk! I think it's just that I am about where I was before I gained a lot of weight... and where I was for years! I pretty much stayed at this weight all through high school and most of my adult life until recently, when I gained.. So maybe my body thinks this is where it needs to be? But no body! You need to be about 50 pounds lighter! Ha! If only it would listen and do what I say...

So I went to Los Angeles yesterday to see Wicked... it was AWESOME! However, it was my 3rd time seeing it.. still great though! I ate pretty much on plan and I had one drink. I don't think I did toooooooo bad! I will be hitting the gym HARD this weekend, so hopefully that will counteract anything bad.

I hope everyone else has a GREAT weekend! I will be doing math homework when I'm not working out so.... FUN FUN FUN for me! Remember team... we can do this!

Bette k: I found brown basmati at my local Costco. I LOVE it. Even more than white basmati.

Julz: Couscous is a very, very small pasta. It's smaller than any rice I've ever seen. You just boil up water or broth, put in the couscous and cover it off the heat and it's done in 5 minutes. I usually buy the pre-boxed Near East brand in the ethnic section of the grocery store. Sometimes you can find it in the bulk food section, too. The box makes up 5 cups of couscous and then I add about 6 cups of chopped up veggies and make a simple dressing with lemon juice and olive oil. For WW peeps it is 2 points per cup.

For a new type of grain, I absolutely LOVE wheat berries. It's whole grains of wheat that you cook up like rice. You can use it hot like rice or make a salad out of it. The Barefoot Contessa made a wheat berry salad this week that looked great. Here's the link: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/reci..._33102,00.html

Gotta go! Got company coming!!

Hi All! I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentines Day. Mine was super quiet and uneventful and my weekend is shaping up that way too.

Diva - I am so glad you decided to remain on the team
I know exactly what you mean, I feel thinner now a days too especially after a workout. And the eye candy at the gym is a HUGE BONUS. lol

michie - About the plateaus, I am in the middle of one right now. I lost half a pound this week. I have been OP with eating AND exercise but mr scale is not moving! I am losing inches like crazy though. I am sure it's because my body composition is changing. Less fat more muscle. It's been explained to me that muscle weighs the same as fat, but takes up less space. It sounds about right because I am still getting smaller, even without a drastic reduction in pounds.
I pretty much work through the plateaus. I figure that if we keep doing what we are doing, it will pay off eventually.

hsmomx2 - 4.2 pounds this week. AWESOME

LondonJulz - congrats on breaking your plateau this week.

That's a great way to look at it.
Good luck at the Bridal show.

ggmugsy - I might have to try both the couscous and wheat berry recipes. They sound delicious.

Why oh why am I up at 5:30am on a Sunday?!?!? LOL
I guess I should go exercise since I'm wide awake. Later people.

rainlips congrats on the three miles!!

Diva great job working out- I am going to restart my C25K next week, I didn't work out at all last week, so this week I want to get back into the routine and then start C25K the next Monday.

michie You are losing inches, mucle weights more than fat and each pound of mucle you build burns calories at rest. Just keep doing what you are doing, the weight will come off, your body is just fighting you. Hopefully your plateau will end soon!!

Hey everyone. I am reading all the posts just having a hard time finding enough time to post. We are finally getting settled in our house so hopefully I will have time to post more soon.

I just wanted to tell DIVA thank you. I wouldn't have known about the C25K thread without you posting about it. I am joining it and excited about it. Thanks!

Hope to be back to post more soon. Good luck with this weeks weigh in everyone.
