Thanks Curly and Angel

I was totally surprised. I have gotten out of the habit of weighing myself everyday and do it only once a week now. I was really hungry last week and high on the calories so I was expecting maybe one or two pounds. I think all this exercising i'm doing is paying off!

Hi everyone!

I'm so tired! I went for a really long walk today and didn't realize that I had gone too far till I was on the way home. My feet hurt!

Curly I'm not sure about the answer to your carb question. I'd say count them which ever way works best for you.

Great job on the weight loss Valerie. Maybe the extra calories helped. And congrats on the lost inches Charlie.

Curly-you only need to count net carbs because we can't digest fiber.

i really notice a difference in my skin since ive been drinking all the water!

and now i have become a "hot tea" addict.. chai tea .. green tea.. i found a brand called tazo tea and they have one box that is a variety assortment.. the celestial seasonings chai tea is really yummy but i havent been able to find it in the stores here.. they had a sample in the newspaper.. Oh and my cup i use is super size.. i think it holds about 4 small cups.. lol

ty Petra.. hmmm now i am wonderin.. just how many carbs ive had when i stayed under 60 total.. o well now i will start checking the net carbs.. i rotate all the same meals anyways..

Hi ya PIC'S....

Just checking in before bedtime, for my egg count....

post daily:1 egg
water goal: 5 eggs
exercise: 5 eggs
carb limit: 5 eggs
track calories: 10 eggs (1244 calories)
total: 26 eggs

Funny you should mention the 'net' carbs thing Curly, I bought some beer battered fish pieces the other day at the grocery store and was very surprized to see that on the box it said....'11 NET CARBS' and then under it had the explaination of total carbs - fibre= net carbs. WOW, I thought....fish with the added bonus of fibre!!! I had never seen this before, well I turned the box over to the food label and it said 0g fibre. HAHA....well if it DID HAVE fibre, it showed 11 net carbs AND if it didn't have any fibre....it was still 11 net carbs. TALK ABOUT ADVERTISING GIMICKS!!! I ate it anyway, and enjoyed it.

Just to make this a little more confusing, if you happen to buy food that is made in Europe, they already subtract the fiber from the carb count over there so the label is a little different. That doesn't come up very often here but something to be aware of anyway. The Wegman's here has a whole International sectional so I have to think about it when I look at food in there.

They also typically subtract sugar alcohols from the total carb content but this is a bit more controversial. If you buy something with a high sugar alcohol content, I'll explain if you want.

eye eye eye....reading labels can make you CRAZY!!!

How is everyone today?

Petra....Did you put on a pedometer yet? Curious to see just how many steps you log on those high consult days.

Curly.....I've seen that tazo tea for sale at Starbucks. I'll have to give that one a try. I'm really big on the no caffeine fruit teas....blueberry, raspberry, peach and my all time fave....black cherry!!! yum yum, I usually make a huge 10 C pot and drink it all!! *burp*

Charlie....How's the "whoosh" going? Are you done yet? and better still....would you do it again?

Iwmonn.....come out come out...where ever you are? You can't hide from us!!! Hope you are doing well and sticking to plan!!!

Yeah and I think with a 34C bra size I have already won it in a backwards thinking kind of way.

We had drop in over night company and I seemed to spend most of the time in the kitchen. They left this morning though, so I need to get my act together and attempt to get my eggstrodinary egg count figured out.

Default gotta question.....

okay, I just got in from a workout at my gym and I have a discrepancy with the numbers the treadmill machine said and my HRM. One hour on the treadmill said.....632 calories used (I entered my weight, speed, incline) but my heartrate monitor said.....456 calories used. Now normally, I get a difference of 70-100 calorie difference, but almost 200??? What number should I use? Maybe I'll split the difference and log in 540. Any ideas?

After that I went and used the free weights and did some situps. I'll probably be regretting those because of TOM.....but I felt like I had lots of energy. How is everyone's day going?

Angel I usually just got with the lower number. The elliptical I used today said I burned 450 calories but fitday says 250 so I go with the fitday number.

Curly thanks for the wheelbarrow!

Charlie 8 pounds is a lot! Congrats!

Wheres Miss Dee been hiding recently??
