Good for you, Jayde! So glad you did so well and great about the jump rope!!! I would love to get one but I am on third floor LOL.
yah it was pretty neat all right to hear those women cheering for me as coming in first. Of course it was not a race but just a walk and all in fun but still... yay!
There is rain here this weekend too. I don't normally let a bit of rain stop me. It feels nice when it falls on my heated body and keeps me cooler. Today it came down in buckets but it did stop for a while and I went walking in the refreshed air.
Well, no commitments meant little exercise. I spent much of the day at the computer helping research our vacation to Yellowstone this summer. Therefore, it was almost 7pm before I even popped a tape in (and then only because of my streak). To make matters worse, we went and got ice cream afterwards. Today it's still rainy and windy, so I will walk inside again. I also will not procrastinate like I did yesterday! My daughter has her dance pictures right at suppertime tonight and then a couple of my favorite shows are on TV (West Wing and Gray's Anatomy). So I will get my walking done much earlier today!

TOM decided to creep up on me yesterday. Had horrible, horrible cramps, and by the time the meds kicked in I was so drained I couldn't do any more exercise (I'd planned on walking another mile). I'm bummed, but what can you do?
Misti - I'm from the UK and would love to join in, I walk aprox 6 miles per day Mon-Fri to work and back (no buses) and about 16 miles over the weekend. I've been keeping a Spreadsheet of my miles and since I started my weigh loss journey I've currently walked 730 miles since the 11th January.
Another so-so day yesterday. I ALMOST hit 10000 steps, and I SHOULD have. But I got busy doing things around the house that had me sitting or standing still and I just didn't walk. I DID do a 2 mile WATP, though.
May is a new month and I'm in a challenge on another board that I've committed to 65 miles in May. I have to get back to a minimum of 2 miles most days and a few 3+ mile days. That will also increase the chances of my hitting 10000 steps+ for this challenge! I've found that I almost always hit 10000 when I've done 2 fitness miles, but I don't usually if I've only done 1. And the difference is only about 15 minutes! I CAN DO THIS!!!
I didn't get much walking in over the weekend. It was pretty miserable all weekend. I have to get out today. I have errands that I need to get done. Gotta get a money order and a birthday card. It's suppose to clear today. I hope so. Keep up the walking ladies.

So... I'm BAAAAAAACK. Sorry I was MIA for awhile, especially since I was supposed to be getting a website up and running, but our internet went out, and it has taken Comcast this long to figure out the problem.. Wow, you guys have been booking. I guess total you can add me in for about 10 miles, I haven't been as productive as I'd like since I started working, but tomorrow is my reboot day, to get my butt back in gear. I just found out that my 10 year class reunion is going to be in October, so I have that much time to kick off some weight and get down to some semblance of what I used to look like or better. Hope everyone is doing well, and Misti.. way to go on that NSV!! YAY!! Can't wait to get back hopping on here.
I don't have access to the "net" at home, so I'll have to post my weekend walking on Mondays. I haven't weighed myself for the month yet, but the capri pants I wore to work on Sat. sure did fit looser around the waist and hips. I'm pushing to .50 miles each day this week and see how it goes.
Well if we are nearing Sioux Falls, Sd then we are close to ME! Actually I live in Dell Rapids which is 13 miles north of Sioux Falls. Sioux falls is 150 years old this year ..Here's a link with information. http://www.siouxfalls.org/Planning/h...entennial.aspx
Dell Rapids is rich in history dating back to 1871. We have a huge quarry in our town. Rose Quartzite is the rock crushed and shipped to most of the Midwest states. On a scale of 1- 10 [diamond], this rock is 7.5. Some of the hardest in the world. And because of it's beautiful rose color, is shipped all over the world.Another unique feature of this mine, it has its own railway! We have Quarry Days every June on the last weekend. You can take a railcar down into the mine. We are a bit early for Quarry Days..
It really is pretty here! I have lived here for about 15 years. We love it!..
No miles to report this weekend. It was raining and cold and I just hunkered in. Have a Great May Day! Blyn
