Happy Easter to all. I told the DH not to get me anything. Thankgoodness it wasn't anything chocolate related. He got me a cute little duck and a little chickie that chirps in you hand. So I am totally relieved. Got a little bit of walking in yesterday.

I hope you have fun at Sea World. I am hoping to go there someday. I would love to take my kids. I know that they would just love it. Make sure you walk your tail off tomorrow. Keep up the good work Lydia. And I looked at your picture and you are far from looking like a guy. Keep on smiling. Obviously, he is unhappy with something in his own life that the only way he can feel good is to make others feel bad.
Yes, Misti. I can't wait to make that ticker move, but only if it is going to go down. I could go to my aunt's house about 8 blocks away, but I guess I have been dreading it because I don't want to weigh more. I will definitely be happy if I am the same. I am definitely going to be working on losing more.
Got out for my Easter walk with my 2 daughters and grandson. Made Easter dinner and didn't over eat and stayed away from the chocolate. All in all a successful day.
Had a nice quiet day yesterday. We went to my parents' house for dinner with them plus one of my sisters and her husband. My other sister wasn't able to come--her husband has to leave early this morning for a 2-week business trip to Texas. It wasn't worth the hassle to drive 3 hours each way just for dinner.
I did OK on food, though I did have a small piece of my mom's homemade cheesecake and a little brownie. I did a 1 mile WATP yesterday morning for a little insurance, though I still came up short of 10000 steps. I'll do better today!

Yesterday.... was a very, very bad day. I had a horrible day, physically, emotionally, and with my diet and exercise. Things are a bit better now, but I'm still upset. We're still going to Sea World today, so hopefully that'll help get me back up and running.
My usual incline has become too much for me. I don't know if it is me or my new shoes. So I've brought it down a notch to 1-6% incline. But I've kept the speed interval the same 2.5 - 3.6 mph. Watching the Sound of Music on the portable DVD player. Movies sure do make the time pass.
My Easter was pretty quiet. I had a couple Easter cookies, but other then that I think I did pretty good. Hopefully, I get some good miles in today. I just got a call to go for an interview today for a part-time job I sent my resume in for. It had been a week. I was thinking of giving up because I sent the resume in a bit late. It going to be in a local funeral home. The great thing is is that it's just up the street from me. Plus my best friend in high school.. he father used to run it so I have been in it before. It would be a bit odd to work there, but heck I just want to have some income coming in for me. Even if it's just a little bit.
Have a great day all. Wish me luck. I have to figure out what to wear.

Hello! I was wondering if it was too late to join your group? I've been working out alone for about a year & really need some group support to keep moving!! Do I just post my miles any time or should I do so once a week? Looking forward to walking across America with y'all!! (I'm in the south & have never even seen I-90, but would love to learn about the northern part of our country!! ;o)
Hi Colleen. Welcome! We can use all the foot work we can get! Most of us post our distance every day in this form:
Date:
Miles:
Total so far:
Some of us only count our workout miles; others combine their workout steps with steps recorded from using a pedometer during daily activities. Post whichever is most comfortable and helpful to you.
I keep forgetting to add that I know quite a bit about Wisconsin and Minnesota, so I can supply some info when we get to those states. I use to live in La Crosse, WI (right on I90), and I drive on I90 through Minnesota quite a bit.
