I don't know what's happened, but I'm slipping on my steps this week! I've only made my 10000+ steps on a school day once in the last 4 days. I guess I jinxed myself when I bragged that I had only NOT hit 10000 twice this month. Now it's 6 times : (
Today is not likely to be a good one either, with conferences. All we pretty much do is sit at our table and wait for parents to come for 4 HOURS! At least I'll get some work done!
Got up this morning and did a 1 mile WATP so my streak can continue--it's 116 days now!

Talk about a motivator. I was talking on the phone with the boyfriend yesterday and I told him that I was closing in on 3 miles. His response? "Keep movin', babe!" And I did it! *flexes*
Didn't do official walk, went to Home Depot and walked and walked and walked to help a friend find items for a house that she is remodeling. DH is helping also. He is putting up the drywall all through the house, my friend had all walls torn out. The rest of this week will be more of the same thing.
Good Afternoon! Yesterday took the new puppy and other doggie for a long walk that was awesome. Walked to the golf course to see my son practice. He is leaving for golf school in August...so fun!
Date: 4/25

Jayde: Happy dance for you!
Misti: Don't you hate when that happens. I do that all the time. (lose my typing) Wow , Austin MN, we are getting a lot closer to me! I will try to take pictures to post somewhere so you can see what it is like here!
Kristine: Home depot is huge you could probably walk a couple of miles in there before you know it! All steps count!...
Michele: What is it that you are counting(116 days)? Is that days that you have exercised or ?? I want to be able to be jealous.... I haven't done anything for 116 days in a row except wake up!..
Keep moving everyone and Have a great day! (I love this place!) Blyn
Blyn--I have been exercising for 116 days in a row! It started out as a promise to myself to do at least 10 minutes a day of some type of exercise. Many days I did more, but that was my minimum. After a few weeks, I moved it up to 15 minutes. Most of the time I do 30 or more, but I allow myself days with only 15, which is usually a mile. I rewarded myself when I hit 100 by buying a stability ball and the Leslie Sansone You Can Do Abs DVD. I'm already planing what my 200 day reward will be!
I NEVER thought I could become that consistent about fitness! I think the fact that I'm turning 40 this summer is adding to my motivation. Whatever it takes, right?!?!
Hope everyone is having a nice day! The students have left for the day and I have 2 hours to get ready for 4 hours of parent/teacher conferences! Maybe I'll have a chance to get in a walk in the halls of our building!
Oh, dang!! We skipped right through where I lived for almost 7 years--La Crosse!!!
But first, we went through Wisconsin Dells! Wisconsin Dells (or known by the locals as "The Dells," is known for its sandstone rock formations along the Wisconsin River. Although it only has a population of 2418, it boasts 18 indoor water parks! Can you imagine!!! It's quite the regional tourist destination.
We just traveled through La Crosse, WI! It's a beautiful city along the Mississippi River. La Crosse is where the La Crosse and Black Rivers flow into the mighty Mississippi River. There is a native American legend that there will not being any "big winds" (tornadoes) at the sight where three rivers meet, and there hasn't been a tornado in the area (or so I'm told). La Crosse is surrounded by towering, beautiful bluffs.
We just flew by Rochester, MN. If I remember correctly, Rochester is about 10 miles north of I90. Their pride and joy, is of-course, that it's the home of the famous Mayo Clinic.
We're now in Austin, MN. All I really know about Austin is that it's the home or Hormel. Among other things, Hormel makes Spam!! They're very proud of it, and you'll notice signs all over I90!
Lydia, I am glad to hear that your legs are feeling better.
Kristine, an 8 pound kitty? I’ll say that counts as weight training!
Blyn, thanks for the happy dance!
Well, today I was an absolute exercise freak ... I think it might have had something to do with the morning workout.
5 am jogged 1 mile on the mill
11 am jumped rope outside with 2nd and 3rd graders
3:30 yoga for an hour and a half... talk about YIKES.. it was hard yet great
7 pm or there abouts jogged another 1.3 miles on the mill...
I am feeling great!
My honey and I are going out of town for a few days so I won't be posting. And as I only count mill miles I won't have any to report.. I am bringing my jump rope so I'll still work out... just no miles.
Don't have the Seattle party without me.. with all the feet walking lately we'll be there in a blink.
My first 5 mile walk I had been doing 2-3 miles top but today was 5 miles. I'm going to have to walk more in the day time because they are digging up some of the roads to put in sewer lines. Oh well a bit more challenging walks climbing over rocks.
Michele way to go on 116 days.
Steph thanks for the information on the places we have gone through
Jayde you were super exercise lady today. Enjoy your time away.
Blyn it is also the only time my husband walks is at car shows.
Conferences went OK. I only had 9 parents, but several of them were the ones I really needed to talk to since their child is struggling, but not coming in for help. I hit my 10000 steps, too.
This afternoon I'm meeting a colleague at the middle school to work out. I always do the elliptical, so I know I'll get my steps in today!

I've been doing some thinking about my exercising habits as of late... I haven't been doing much other than walking. Walking's all fine and good, but I really do need to do more, you know? So I've decided on two fitness goals for May: min. 1 hour a week of strength training and min. 2 miles a day of walking. I've been getting my 6 hours of exercise a week in most of the time, though I'm not sure if I'm ready to up that yet. We shall see.
*boogies 'cause it's her birthday* I think today I shall go for a bike ride!
