I am so frustrated! DH & I go to Walmart & buy a new scale for me. Get it home and set it up, it weighs me in at 275! Noooo! My mom's scale weighed me at 265 last month. There is no way I gained ten pounds, especially when I've been doing so good on what I eat and starting to walk. So I wait til the morning and it brings me at 270. So do I just start over with my scale at 270 or do I wait to weigh myself on my mom's scale that showed 265? This is very discouraging. I'm only weighing myself once a month so I could wait to get over to my mom's, but what a bummer to see a higher weight on my scale.
6.7 miles today
It was one of those walks to work and back that dragged and dragged, the day was pretty much the same, every time I looked at the clock, only 5 minutes had passed. I'm so glad to be home
I had some computer trouble but I finally got back online. Here are my first miles for the challenge (thanks for letting me join your cross country trek!):
Days that the steps or miles were logged: 5/2 & 5/3
Steps/miles for that time: 1 for Tuesday & 3.5 for today
Total number of steps/miles, to date in the challenge: 69
I somehow forgot to log my mileage yesterday, so I added it in today.
Days that the steps or miles were logged: 5/3
Miles for that time: 2.33 miles
Total number of steps/miles, to date in the challenge: 73.9 miles
3 days down, 28 to go. So far so good! I'm feeling very very motivated to stick with this. I've had so much energy!
So it's 5:40am, I'm normally not up for another.. 3-4 hours. I've been awake since around 4 this morning. Waaaaay too excited to sleep. My boyfriend's flying in tomorrow I'm going to be baking him some of his favorite cookies today. They're a kind I've never made before, so I hope they turn out alright.
Because I couldn't sleep, I decided to walk. I walked for about 27 minutes, have already done about 1 1/4 miles. I think I'll make 2 miles even if I don't do anymore fitness walking... which I plan to do.
Only got in 1 fitness mile and I didn't quite hit 10000 steps. Hubby took me out to dinner after we dropped off the camper for a repair. We bought it just about a year ago and hubby came home a couple of weeks ago from a camping trip and 3 of the bolts that secure the metal piece to the box (the part that eventually connects to the hitch on my van) had sheered off!!! When we looked at them, they were rusty from the inside out. No way was that a result of something WE did and it could have made the camper come loose from the van if all the bolts had gone!!! Needless to say, we insisted that they repair it.
Afterward, we decided on Mexican and since time was limited (we had to pick up the kids at church group), we tried a new place. It was YUMMY! I probably overdid it, but it was good. When all was said and done, I only went over my calorie plan by about 250 calories. Since I don't do that regularly, it's OK.
Anyway.....today should be a busy one. I'm FINALLY getting my day off tomorrow (was supposed to have it last Friday) and I have a million things to do to get ready for a sub. That means a fair amount of running around. And if I get done by 4, a colleague and I are going for a walk outside (if the weather holds).
Good morning everyone! Hope you are all having a great start to your Thursday.
Day that miles were logged: 5/3
# of miles: 2
I'll be getting an automatic two miles at least 3 times a week between now and August at the earliest, because my hubby has duty until the new guy shows up (because after this week he'll be the only one in his shop until then) and he has to have the car so he can do after hours service. Oh well, it's good for me I know, but walking home at 9:30 at night is a bit of a drag, after being on my feet all day, i have to take a Motrin before work is over so that my heels will not be hurting so bad by the time I start walking. but I know it is good for me, and I will probably get used to it soon.
I am getting so excited about the weekend! I have been working on my dissertation and I am so tired of it that I'm just ready for a break. Of course, who am I kidding, my laptop is going home with me and I'll be working over the weekend too. Just at a more leisurely pace. Hooray for weekends!
I got a substantial morning workout in, which is rare for me. So I will add the following to my stats:
Date: 5/4
Miles: 4
Total so far: 30
Hooray! I feel like my contribution is relatively small compared to the impressive amounts of walking a lot of you have done, but every little bit helps, right? I'm very happy that I've just managed to go walking consistently even though I have a ton of school stuff going on.
Welcome Margarita! LOL not sure where we are... Chris seems to be missing! I will total things up later tonight though and let everyone know where we are! Keep moving!!!
