Blyn I am with you... I love the rain too and do NOT like the sun and heat. Except I don't get it... if you like the rain why do you have to walk on the mill? Do you live in an area with lightning and stuff? We hardly ever have that so it is safe to go out in the rain.

Kristine I can relate about the allergies... mine have been bad too and had to go on the prescription meds.

Michele, we are a little wimpy here in Seattle about the heat. LOL it doesn't get that hot here so other people laugh at us when we think it is "hot" But I have lived in those super hot places, thanks, and have NO desire to go back LOL

Wonder where Chris is??? Haven't seen her here lately.

Well, I was at work yesterday when I wasn't supposed to be. Several weeks ago, I requested a personal day (we only get 2 a school year). The sub was lined up and with my late meeting on Monday and conferences on Wednesday, I was READY for a day off by myself! On Wed morning, the secretary called me a told me that my sub's wife had had their baby and he was taking the week off. She tried to find another sub, but there were none to be had. So, I had to work and choose a different day off. I was mad (and still kind of am!)! Hubby (sort of) helped by offering to take the family to dinner at a restaurant we have heard good things about but have never been to. I say sort of, because I didn't make the best choices, but I enjoyed the time spent as a family and the food WAS good.

Today is a new day and we have our son's final soccer game at 10am. Then the rest of the day is ours with NO COMMITMENTS! I don't know what we'll do, since it's raining off and on, but we'll think of something!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Michele

Well I added up our miles... 1284.41. I hope this is right LOL I am NOT good with numbers. I found an error in my database so they may have not been quite right before but we are close! Sorry!

We are about 150 miles from Sioux Falls, SD!

Was too busy yesterday to get much walking in, but today it's beautiful outside. I'm definitely going for a walk. I'm in a SUPER good mood this morning. Last night, my boyfriend let me know that he'd purchased his tickets to come visit me! He'll be coming next friday

Today is the "Walk for Life" for our local Pregnancy Resource Center. I do it every year but might skip out this time because I need to get things in order for when my niece comes to go on our cruise. But it is important and helps women in tough situations... and will help me get in my walking so I am going!!

I didn't do much yesterday. I have one heck of a cold, plus we've had rotten weather. I won't use that excuse today though...I'm going to get moving regardless!!!

Can we say the weather sucks? I'm going to chase it away. and try to get the back. I'm not sure what I am going to do about walking today or the whole weekend for that matter. It's suppose to rain all weekend plus Monday. Yuck. I don't have a treadmill to walk on and don't have any workout videos. So I am kinda wondering what I'll do. Here are my miles from yesterday. I did manage just a few even though it started to rain on us some while we were out.

This weather definitely does suck--big time!!! I made myself go out in it today. I kept myself laughing (to myself) and motivating myself, but thinking that I was a WARRIOR!! I kept reminding myself that I was out there, and no one else was, and I am becoming more and more healthy!!

I need to grab the DH's umbrella and just make myself go out in it even just for a mile. Atleast there isn't any severe Thunderstorms for today. Plus I haven't seen any lightening so I should be pretty safe out there. Unless I encounter a big water puddle. Hopefully, I don't get splashed by a car.

Well, we will see what the day brings. Need to get shopping for my daughter's birthday. She's turning 4 on Monday and I still need to get her a card. I got her a present on Ebay, but it isn't going to get here until after her birthday. Would you believe it is coming from Washington State. Should have it sent to you Misti and I'll pick it up. Anyways, got her a brand new pair of tennis shoes(Vans). Got them for only $7.50 before shipping but that is a pretty good deal on a new pair of shoes. Ok.. gotta go.

Congrats Misti!!!! You must be walking on air now..

It was a good thing I took my jump rope with me on our trip. The gym at the hotel was a sorry little place.. wall to wall equipment with no room to move. The only piece of equipment being used was the treadmill. I never saw anyone use anything else.

I jumped rope in the corridor outside the gym at night and just outside the exit during the day. When I was finally able to get my turn on the mill, I was SO disappointed. The machine was so horrible I couldn't walk but a few minutes. I now really realize how nice my machine is that honey bought for us. I got a lot of jumping in, twice a day at least. Then got on the mill when we arrived home.

Oh, and I stayed with my eating plan yet still enjoyed every bit of the trip. Sometimes it just required a little planning and a little defensive eating.

Glad to be home.
