I'm very disappointed that I didn't meet my personal goal of 2 miles... but I was entirely too exhausted to do much of anything. I'd stayed up literally all night the night before, sleeping for only half an hour. Then my boyfriend and I (picture in my weight-loss journal, link to that in my sig) had to get ready at 3:30am to get him to the airport. He was having delays on his flights all over the place, so I stayed up all day so as to be able to answer the phone when he called. I only slept about 19 of the last 96 hours, as opposed to my normal 32-40, so I'm rather burned out right now. I'm definitely going to try and keep with my 2-mile goal today, but I'm so very tired.
Didn't get any walking in last night, but this morning the scale shows another 2lbs gone! All this healthy eating is doing some good! Now if I can just get a bit more motivated to do the walking every day it might even be more #s that disappear this month.
I walked eight miles Sunday. I was in a 7.5 mile race, and spent an additional half mile on the trips to and from the shuttle bus to the race.
I think at this point that eight miles was really too much for me, as it caused some joint problems halfway through. By next year's race, I hope to have done more strength training and lost more weight, which should make it easier on my joints. (More details in the Success Forum, under "The First 110 Days".)
Date: May 9 (I'm logging it as today, even though it happened Sunday)
Distance: 8 miles
Date: 5/8
Miles: 1.8 (my first walk in 10 months or so!)
Total: 1.8
Is there a map or anything like that to see how far we got ?
And how much further we have to go?
I thought I read that... somewhere? (still new to this forum!)
This is FUN!
Oh, does bouncing count? I bounced on the trampoline for 30 min. I counted up to 300 bounces then lost track..
Hi everybody... have enjoyed reading your great posts... am getting behind on responding individually with all the getting ready for the cruise!!! But I am reading and cheering you on!
Mine for today is
Date: 5/9
Miles: 6.821
Wow we are moving! Our new total is 1636.5!! Great job!!!
Dee, hope you are feeling better... I'd rather give you a than a kick -- but LOL NEXT time never know!!
We still have 50 miles to go to get to Reliance SD -- I was a bit overoptimistic last time I guess LOL. After that, next big stop will be Rapid City!!
Today I was feeling unusually energetic and got a lot of walking done! (And a lot of schoolwork too.) Now I'm tired as anything and plan to get myself to bed! I hope all of you are doing great, and I'm cheering you on!
Well, I got my motivation back.. I finally dropped below 260.. Maybe I'll get down to 250 this month after all... I walked home from work last night, and this morning I am starting my running, in addition to my walking home from work at least 3 times a week. And my neighbor wants to start going to the base gym with me, YAY! So maybe I'm back on track.
So... this couch to 5k thing is either going to kill me, or really get me running to the point where I can start my marathon training in a few months. I've decided not to run the marathon til march, as I know I won't be ready by November. But OUCH. I just ran/walked a mile, and I feel great and ouchy all at once. I guess I'll be getting more miles in again now.
Had another good walking day. I've managed to stay above 10000 steps since last Thursday. Food was my problem yesterday. We had an appointment with our financial advisor last night at 5:30. As a result, we ate supper out when it ended. DD chose Olive Garden and I chose the chicken alfredo (uh-oh). I only ate half of it, but when I tracked the calories--YIKES! Won't be eating the leftovers--someone else in the family can have them!
