Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

Tammy thats great news about your dog!

We had a great time camping. The inlaws came & stayed over Sat. Another couple came as well but only for dinner on Sat. On Sun. the inlaws got their boat out & we spent the day on it. We were able to get the boat out of the water before it started to rain. Now that we are home I have all kinds of laundry to do. We maybe going camping in Door County in the next month or two with the inlaws.

Heres the link to some pictures I took. They are mainly of the dog so DS could see how he enjoyed himself. http://s277.photobucket.com/albums/k...lls%20Camping/

Great pictures Tymaboy! Cute dog!

Tammy, you'll do great! Keep working on those push-ups! I think I could do one! How many do you have to do for the test?

Oh no Holly! Not your new windshield! Darn! If that ever happens again, make sure that the wind knocks your bike over! Then it counts as a comprehensive loss--not so hard on your insurance!

Hi Reda.

We had a great time camping. Had to use a different truck to get our camper in and out of it's site on the grassy hill. Used the furnace in the camper at night too! Air is still running at home, but it was mighty chilly camping!

WW was the furthest thing from my mind with all of the yummy food! Sticky buns, sausage, desserts, marshmallows, hot chocolate...oh, it was all yummy! Too yummy! A binge like that is what sends me right over the edge! Good thing we didn't have any mac and cheese at home last night, because I looked--I so was just ready to blow the weekend properly...That's what ALWAYS happens! Good news...I ate a salad for lunch, chicken Gorditas for supper. Not too bad. The scale says I didn't behave! It's right!

2 more work days before Vegas! WhooooHooo!

tymaboy - your dog is ADORABLE!!! I just want to hug and squeeze her/him!

good morning! today is our Poker Run. I was not that happy when my friend first involved me in it, but after so much effort and time put into it I sure hope it's a success today...and NO problems such as bike safety, which is what I'm really anxious about.

And I don't want to LEAD anyone, I never like to lead anyway, and after my stupid bike parking judgement last week, I lost a bit of self confidence in my abilities. But that huge scratch across my windshield is a reminder to think about what I'm doing!

hope everyone is doing good

Default 2 hours wait in an airport

We are in Denver, CO. Nice airport. Had yummy burritos for lunch. BIG ones--Oh my gosh they were messy! We left the Wisconsin rain, and are all sunshine, heading to more sunshine for the rest of the week in Vegas.

We looked at renting a HD cycle for a day. $150. Might be fun though, and head to see the Grand Canyon while out in the area. Hoover Dam too, but might take a tour to there.

Diet is just not going to be in my vocabulary for this week. I'll try not to totally sabotage it though. Last night, eating out I had grilled shrimp, sweet tater, and rice with salad. Not too bad--it's the butter, and dressing, and rolls that was naughty! Having fun already!

Colleen hope you have a wonderful time!

Went for a ride today. One of my goals was to ride to Bellevue. Did that today then took the back way out of town & headed towards LaMotte then went the back way out of town there as well to come back to Dubuque. It was a bit chilly on the way home. I liked it much better when we could ride to almost 9 before it got dark now its closer to 7:30. I think I have rode the bike in the dark more then I have the car in last yr. After we got back to Dubuque tonite I got a leg cramp. 1st time on the bike. At the lites I would stand trying to work it out but as soon as I sat back down it was back right away. I found out I can ride with my led stick out towards the front wheel. I also had to adjust my helmet a few times while on the highway. I have only attempted to ride 1 handed for a few seconds at a time. I am not looking forward to the cooler weather, I will need to buy some warmer clothes to ride in.

I learned how to change the oil on the bike today. It wasnt hard but I did drop the plug into the pan of oil. I should be able to remember how to do it for next yr. I realized that I have put over 700 miles on the bike. I was shocked that I have put on that many miles this yr.

HI Girls

Wow I have been so busy that didn't even realize that I haven't been online for a week or so

Tammy again you will do great and just keep that determination up and you will get there real soon

Tymaboy great pics- and yes very cut dog

Collen how was Vegas? Did you guys rent a motorcycle and go site seeing? It is so awesome and we didn't think $150 was bad for a day rental
Hope you won lots of $'s

Glad to hear everyones camping went great ours did to
then we were off to the races at the beginning of the week didn't go so well for DS but theres always next year

Last half of this week I had to get everything done and ready for our annual poker run yesterday- we actually had a Show n Shine Friday night turned out good then we were also doing an "Not So Silent" Auction we had 8 items on the auction and made $558 dollars so not bad
Poker run we had 58 bikes and 20 passengers show up so pretty good turn out for that as well (for our area really good)

Holly sorry to hear about your little accident How did your poker run turn out yesterday?

Well it was DH birthday today so we went out for lunch then went to casino when the boys called and wanted to take him out for supper so we got back to town to go have supper with the boys at 6pm. You know we haven't been home for the last 10 days besides to sleep ...... but the summer is ending and fall is here and we are already losing sunlight- dang it

Well girls have a great week - hopefully I will get to check back in more often now

good morning chicks Tymaboy, congrats on all your miles, and learning how to change your oil! that is great.

Yes we are all confident that Tammy will meet her awesome job goal

Colleen - oh boy, enjoy eveything!!

Boy Reda you guys are busy!!! that is great Wow big earnings on your functions, and big attendance. Our poker run was good, thanks, 22 registered bikes and maybe 30ish people. Raised a little over $1000 which is a drop in the bucket but it's something. And NO accidents, that was my main worry. Hey I won best hand!!! 4 of a kind. I won $75 which I gave right back to the cause.

I need a kick in the pants to get going, both today and back on the physical fitness track. I've only worked out maybe once or twice a week for the past 4 weeks, not good. I'm trying to psych myself into a 'into the 40's by 50' which means getting myself down into the mid 140's by the time I turn 50 which is Dec. 2.

Reda, you sure are busy here lately, I hope you get to slow down soon!

Holly, I have no doubt you will meet your WL goals! None whatsoever.

Wow, tymaboy, I have been riding for almost 4 years and I cannot change the oil. I can change a fuse, but not the oil.

Colleen, how is your DD's job situation going? We are waiting on Vegas updates. We want the normal Colleen funny version!

Thanks for the confidence ladies. I am keeping my head up and my butt to the workout schedule (after tonights bday cake-lol). I am soooo gonna show them what an older girl can do!

Hope you all have a good night.

Tammy

good morning ladies! Tammy, congrats on the new-to-you laptop!

Hope everyone is doing well

I think I've mentioned this before, but it is strange that I do not get email notification about this thread...however I do get notice on threads that I posted ONCE on, maybe 2 months ago! Strange. Oh well

I rode to work yesterday and it was beautiful (cool but I was prepared, it was 6:15 am) but on the way home, only 3 miles from home, I got soaked in a shower Today I already hear dripping out there, not good. Guess it is a cage day today!

have a great day chicks

Hi girls

Congrats on the laptops now you can sit in lazyboy while on computer- love it

Well the last couple of nights I have been trying to get my web page set up but just when I thought I was doing good I ca.comn't get it figured out- everyone sent me to ipage.com and after reading reviews and all it seemed to be the best with the best price? I just have to get it figured out and that is the part not going so well. Anyways I have been making some swaroski crystal bandannas and found some crystal belts, purses and cell phone cases so I thought I would start a website and sell them. I did sell quite a few bandannas this past weekend and have had a couple retail shops ask to put them in their shop of which I will probably do but have to get some more made up. My web site will be chickbling.net once I get it all figured out

Holly you will not have problem getting down to goal weight by Dec 2- and I would have never guessed 50 so you are going to have a BIG BASH?

We have 2 nights of racing this weekend but next week is looking like my life may slow down a bit but then I will be getting all my stuff made and ordered and for my business.......

Collen how was Vegas - hope you haven't forgot about us

Have a Great Night

Good morning!

Reda I love that name of your biz!! and I am just a lover of sparkly things...I would frequent your site and load up I wish I could give advice on the website...I'm tempted to ask my dh to help you but sometimes he doesn't like it when I volunteer him to do work for other people

thanks all for the support that I can kick my butt into a regimen again..just got to FORCE myself back in to workout out before my workday begins. And constant reminding of what I am putting in my mouth!! which means plan, plan plan. Oh and what a NICE surprise that I think dh is going to plan something for my 50th!

Colleen hope Vegas is great! or are you back and recovering

HI to Tammy and tymaboy!

well maybe I should put my workout gear on right now!! I'll let you know if I did later. Have a great day.

Hi everyone! Hope your all having a nice weekend. Went for a short ride last nite & sat by the fire. Soon we will be sitting by the fire every weekend. We have such a good time with our neighbors sitting at the fire.

Tonite is my 1st nite of bowling. It should be a good laugh. I cant bowl. I bowl 60-90 a game. My partner doesnt care he says he goes just to have fun anyway & thats the only reason I am doing it as well.
