Tammy, you're back~! 4 miles!! That's crazy! You're doing great!

Tymaboy, Thanks for checking stuff out on line about dresses. I looked too. You are right! Expensive! I'll find something I'm sure. It would relieve future DIL if I had dress picked out. She has been a planning fool! Went to a bridal show with her in Dubuque. Long day. She picked out a $540 cake! It better be a REALLY good and tasty cake for that much cash!

DD has 2 jobs now, and has 2 more interviews next week--I'm pretty certain she can't do 4 jobs! Good thing there are no kids!

Slow day at work today. Boss can drive someone nuts though! Early Alzheimers maybe?

Beautiful sunny day. Haven't ridden w/o DH since selling my bike. I know I would be shot if I put a scratch on the precious bike! Days like this, make me think about it though...

Hi Girls

Holly good luck at dentist tomorrow Sorry to hear about the knee hopefully it will start feeling better soon

Tammy what is your new car? Are you liking it? Wow 4 miles your are rocking it girl

tymaboy fencing sounds great and strong- hopefully you will get alittle more riding in before the weather gets to cold

Well we went for alittle ride tonight not very long though I have to much work to do- I haven't been able to get website up totally yet but hopefully soon - I have been so busy making bandannas for orders that I haven't had time to do anything else (set aside racing nights) of which we are going racing tomorrow night as well about 100 miles away so I have one more bandanna to make tonight as I just got a call for one (homecoming for the University in town is this weekend) so I made some bandannas with USD on them and getting orders for them... this is great but keeping me busy at nights I barely have time to get online but going to try to make time so with that I need to get off here and get stuff done then off to bed

Have a great rest of the week

Had an easy day today. My weekend started at 12:30. I ran to the bank & to order a corsage for Homecoming tomorow nite. Taking the car in for an oil change (only had the lite on all summer) & bowling tonite. I plan on cleaning the basement tomorow, one of the cats is refusing to use litter box Maybe if we move stuff around down there & give a good mopping it will atleast help with the odor that is spreading threw the house I am hoping to go for a nice ride sometime this weekend to site see, the trees are starting to change colors.

Homecoming is tonite. Here are some pics of DS & his GF.

Didnt have time to get the bike out today but I did adjust the chain again (it came loose from the last time we tightened it) I also learned how to adjust the back brake. I might have tightened it too much & when I ride it tomorow I will know for sure but it is an easy fix that requires no tools.

Tymaboy love the pics - they looked like they were already having a good time

So how did bowling go for you this week? You are learning so much about your bike, I know basics and all but nothing about chains or well my bike has a belt and it has to be tightened once in a while as well but DH can do that.....

Well girls website(www.chickbling.net) is up but right now I only have my bandanas on there- I have been busy trying to get that done and then making the bandanas - I had an order for 4 of them on Thursday to have done Friday night - but hey it is extra money for our gambling adventures coming up. It was our college homecoming and a few wanted ones that had our logo on them- so I did a few that said "USD" and then I did one that said "Yotes". I am really enjoying this - It will never take place of my job but hey I am having fun messing around with it all- I will hopefully Thursday night have my crystal belts and crystal cell phone holders on my web page as well.

Ok well I better get off to bed since it is back to the grindstone tomorrow

Holly are you still out at the lodge? or back at the store now?

Hello!

tymaboy, what a cute couple!! they are both lucky kids handsome son and really pretty girl. Do you like her? I hope so and congrats on knowing how to adjust your brake...good lord I feel helpless now about my bike

Tammy - run 4 miles without a stop is freakin great!! You are our SuperWoman! Yay to DS coming home for a break.

Reda - congrats on your website being up!! Love the bandannas...I love crystals and bling and rhinestones, and how convenient that biker chicks can pull them off on anything!! Best Wishes

Well today was a nice day off, I first did a new workout vid, it's part of the Slim in Six series, but I just have the one tape, Burn It Up, it was $1.00 at a yard sale. It is an almost an hour long; 5 minutes of warmup then a solid 40-ish minutes of low-impact cardio with some toning; then floor work (legs, butt and abs) then 5 minutes of yoga-like cooldown stretch. I needed something new, and it was good! I will alternate it with my others.

Then I did a little yard work, then I had 2 of my Slovakian co-workers come meet me; they bought a used car for their summer here, but want to sell it...I asked them 'you have your title, right?" and they're like, "What is title, Holly?" so we made a trip to Motor Vehicles. It was cool temp but okay (high 5o's temp) so I layered up and lead the way on my bike, while they followed in their car. And it was a relatively easy process for a duplicate title. They probably could have done it themselves but they have a strong accent, so I was happy to be Interpreter. Then we drove/rode around and they treated me to coffee (and an evil cookie).

Reda, I have 2 more weeks of the club, then a few days off, then back to the c-store. Oh well! I had a great summer

Hey ladies,

I feel like I am just a part timer now. But here goes.....

I got a "new to me" 07 Trailblazer. I LOVE IT! I hated to see the Monte Carlo go.... but the sports car is just not for me anymore. Hopefully SHE will give someone a good home. My youngest DS was MAD b/c I traded off the car. I don't know why, it was NEVER promised to him???? I guess he has to face it that I am not young. he calls my trailblazer a grannymobile now.

I have kept up my exercise--- thanks for the comments about running. I only did the 4 mile non stop once, but I do run regularly. I am thinking of quitting bootcamp. It is just not fun anymore and I am having to force myself to go. My eating is good on some days.... not so much on others. But, I am staying within a few of my goal. I guess all the running? The BC instructor said I should be running 21 miles a week now. I have not made it to that..... but I am working my way up.

I have been busy..... I applied as a 911 dispatcher last week, just in "case" I did not make it through the physical of the officer test..... well, it is moving quicker than the officer test. Last Friday I had a working interview and I sat in on calls. Before I sat in on calls I had to listen to 2 disturbing calls. Even though they were not "live", they were actual calls. I made it through them, but it was hard to listen to. One of them was a domestic and the guy shot himself in front of his family in the middle of the road. It was hard, I am not going to lie. Anyway, I went to another interview and test today. i am not sure if I will get it b/c there are 5 people up against me that have experience. I do not. However, if I don't get it... I will be trying for the officer also.

Holly, I saw your pic on FB. I am proud that all of the motorcycle organizations have great leaders like you and CC. I am a follower.
You have such great people skills (even when you think you lose your patients with them sometimes). The couple you interpreted for is a prime example. Even if they did take you for the cookies.

CC, I have not looked at your site yet..... but that is my next stop. I see your boys are still doing well at racing.

Colleen, How are you? How many jobs does your DD have this week? Lol?

I have to get busy...... I have things to do. If I get the dispatcher job I will be working both for awhile.

Catch you guys later. Don't forget, if you need to gab, you can always yell at my email... I check it daily.

good evening chicks! Hi Tammy! well I'm glad you like your Trailblazer and it is a nice looking vehicle!! congrats! and congrats on your progress towards law enforcement...wow how difficult to think of how to deal with situations as you mentioned and other tragedies. But part of the job and hopefully a very very small part of the job.

Got to ride to work today, was layered up enough in the early morning so the 47 degrees was not too bad...and then the low 60's with sun on the way home was divine.

Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday night!

Reda- Love the bandanas! Congrats

Tammy- How exciting to get a new vehicle. I think a 911 dispatcher would be a very hard job. I would probably brake down & cry on some calls. It would break my heart if a child ended up calling or if it was for a child.

I took the bike out to run to the store tonite. I went out at the wrong time cuz traffic was bad with everyone getting off of work. I was almost to Target. Sitting at the last lite before driving into the parking lot. I sat at that 1 lite threw 5 cycles! I had to turn the bike on reserve while sitting at the lite. I can usually only go about 4 miles on reserve. I ran into Target & did not get a mile before I ran out of gas Mile odometer only read 89 miles anyway, I should have made atleast 100 on the tank. DH had to come & rescue me & made sure I made it to the gas station after he brought me some. He thinks the bike may be like the snowmobiles depending on the weather all depends on what kind of millage they get. It kinda makes sense to me since I had the bike out on Sunday & it was a chilly ride. I'll have to see on the next ride.

Holly glad to hear you are exercising still - Me well not so much again I just haven't gotten back on the exercise routine. I really should with all the trips coming up but I can say my eating has not been way out of control I have maintained within 2 pounds so that to me right now is a win

Tammy I like the trailblazers as well (My favorite is Ford Edge or Ford Flex) but I like SUV vehicles and they DO NOT look like granny vehicles- just wait your son will be wanting to drive it soon if he hasn't asked already-
Good Luck for the dispatcher job and keep plugging away towards the officer test- Yes boys did do well and again I thought last Thursday was our last night of racing DS told me last night at bowling that he is racing next weekend Friday and Saturday about 2 hours away so I guess one more weekend and I searched online tonight and that is the last race around here for the year

Glad to hear that it is October and we are still getting to ride - we had our bikes tonight as well and the weather is looking good for this weekend as well- whooo hooo

Tymaboy running out of gas is an experience - the first time I ever ran out I was close enough I could coast into the drive then only had to push a little ways thank goodness I was that close otherwise DH would have had to come rescue me as well- oh ya weather will play around with your gas mileage as well.

Oh talking about our bikes my Yamaha that I sold last year is now on a website dakotaadjusters.com this company takes in repo vehicles and wrecked vehicles my baby does not looked wrecked so must have been repo'd- right now it is only at $1500 when I sold it last year for $5500 so we are watching it I think I am going to buy it back- I still love the colors that I painted it. Oh ya got the rest of my items on my website tonight probably wrong time of year but XMas is right around the corner

Well girls have a great rest of the week

Holly, I'm so sorry to hear about your DH's motorcycle accident! Hope he heals well, and everything goes as planned for his recovery. Let us know how he's doing and what happened when you can.

Reda--cool web site. Neat stuff! Looks like you do a nice job! You gals are so ambitious! My accomplishment this week was on Sunday when EVERYTHING got pressure washed.

Tammy, good luck on the job. Keep up the hard work for officer training. No doubt you will do well! Congrats on the Trailblazer. Getting you ol' bike back might be fun. The lady that bought mine, wrecked it, broke her arm and had to have surgery. Bike is still drivable, but insurance got her a new one.

Tymaboy, glad your DH helped you out when you ran out of gas! Sounds like you are learning lots, and riding lots too. Good for you! Nice pictures.

We have been having all sorts of gobble-de-gook going on at work! Stressful situations. I am SO MUCH looking forward to the weekend! I seem to have a knack for adding fuel to the fire, when the boss is upset! Just a natural talent I guess!

This weekend we are going to a friends daughters wedding. Should be fun, but will me missing out on an invite to cycle ride. Didn't go on the local ride last weekend either. That was by choice--too chilly, and we got to goof around for the day, and went to Dubuque.

Hope you all have a nice weekend. Weight is slow at coming off. Exercise would no doubt help! I have measured out 1 1/2 mile path that goes around our whole little town! It seems like a long way to walk, but I know that 1 1/2 miles shouldn't be that bad. One of these days I'm gonna walk it!

Tymaboy, yeah, I think most of us have an out of gas story. Mine happened out in the middle of NOWHERE, on my Honda. DH almost had a heart attack b/c I was a new rider and he looked behind him and I was not there. But, he went and got me some gas, after paying $6 for a gas can. Lol.

Colleen, I love your description of the office goings on. Ours has had "gobble-de-gook" for awhile now. I hate that!

Holly, How is your DH? How did it happen? How are YOU?

CC, That is too cool about your old baby.... I think it is meant for you to have it.... so I would not get rid of her again. Lol. I have been out of pocket so long, I am not familiar with the bandanas..... are they your creation/business? If so.... I want to order some.

So...... I have not heard on the dispatch spot.... but it could be Monday or Tuesday. If I don't hear from that.... it was just not meant to be and I will keep plodding away at my ultimate goal..... and, if I have not told you lately.... I HATE PUSH UPS! Lol

Today was a beatiful day. I rode my bike today ALONE in Memphis, TN. Wow.... is all I can say. I have been riding almost 4 years... It was nerve racking b/c of the construction areas. But, I made it!

I am going to get off here..... I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Wow Tammy in Memphis - that is a big/busy town isn't it? DH has a fit if I say I am riding to bigger town where there is 6 lanes of traffic to get there and off/on ramps are crazy but it is one way to get him off his butt and go

I do make the bandanas myself and if there is maybe something special you would like me to try to make and send pics I can do that to - I have 1 that I am playing around with this weekend for a girl in Arkansas as a matter of fact, she love cats and her motorcycle license plate says Meow so she is wanting to do one up with "Meow" on it - Also if any of you are interested just PM me and let me know or you can email me to the email address on my website

Colleen I am usually the same way with adding fuel to fire but hey someone has to do it right???? Just keep you spirits up and enjoy your weekend

Well off to Sioux City with some friends so I will check back in later
Have a Great Weekend
