Good Morning Ladies.

Yesterday was a killer day. I ended up doing "cardio yard work"....hauling about 400lbs of wood 3 blocks down the street (without a vehicle) to the garden refuse pile. I am pretty sore today. Had a bit of a sodium binge last night....evil cheezies!! Then got up this morning and surprise, it was TOM! Despite all that, when I got up I was down to 268.5 lbs this morning! I also decided to change my weigh in days to Fridays, because I am typically more likely to eat higher sodium on weekends, since that's when my husband cooks or BBQ's.

DJ & Scout - How are you two loving the weather today?! Sunny and warmer! FINALLY!! I am going out for a walk over my lunch hour today. I'm going to soak in the sunhine and try to work off some of last night's calories from Sullivan's. FYI, Sullivan's has $5 drinks and bar food every Thursday and Sunday evenings. One of their bar food entrees is edamame hummus an it's REALLY good.

Melissakd - I LOVE almond milk. I, too, buy almond breeze. If you get the the sweetened one it's the same amount of calories as skim milk. But, the unsweetened is pretty good, too.

So, today was weigh in day for me. 150.5 lbs. That is a 1.5 lb loss this week. YAY!!! The idea of hitting hte 140s has got me soooooooooooooooo motivated.

As I mentioned above, I went to happy hour at Sullivan's last night. I kept to just two glasses of wine. Not bad considering my co-workers drank themselves under the table. In fact, one called in sick to work today, haha. We shared two orders of hummus, mussels, stuffed mushrooms and sliders. I only ate the hummus and about 10 mussels. The mussels were in butter sauce, though, so it wasn't perfect. All in all, I think I had just under 1650 calories. So, I do not consider yesterday a fail. Considering I've been doing P90X I get plenty of exercise to cover that, I think.

I'm not cooking tonight. Basically we've ran out of food. We're going grocery shopping tomorrow. I've decided that we're doing Subway for dinner tonight. I'm a little excited about going out for dinner, even if it's Subway. Yes, I realize that we went out last night - but that's different because it was stressful dealing with food choices. Tonight will be relaxing becuase I know I'll be very on plan and I don't have to work hard in the kitchen for it.

Oh my GAWD this thread has gotten so big in the few days i've been gone!

I'm not doing good. I had a breakup (that I was NOT in favor of) and it's really killing me. I haven't felt like eating (or exercising, or working, or doing freaking anything) so I just haven't eaten much the last few days. And having a few drinks with a friend a couple times is enough to get me smashed without really trying and feeling more like crap. So whatever, i'll bounce back i'm just sad and mad and frustrated with the whole situation. But Friday is weigh in day and i'm down all the way to 171.6. I'm sure not eating and most likely being dehydrated has a lot to do with it but again, whatever. Im just not in the mood to feel good about anything.

Keep up the good work ladies.

Almond Breeze is delicious!! I discovered it a month ago and I have fallen in love!!

TOM is near and I'm already floating 0.2-0.4 lbs higher than my last real weigh in. I'm not weighing in until my TOM is gone.

Hey girls! Congrats on the losses!

I've always wanted to try Almond Breeze but something about it makes me hesitant, I'm not a huge almond fan. I may have to give it a try because so many people rave about it.

I was down .4 from last week but up about 2 pounds from yesterday. I did Zumba on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday and I also added a 45 minute boot camp before my hour long Zumba class on Tuesday. I've stayed within my cal counts and did indulge in some whole grain tositos and a margarita last night for Cinco with friends. I'm going to chalk the gain up to water retention (because how on earth could I have gained 2 pounds overnight based on my stellar week) and absolutely not get me down.

I'm not even going to up my ticker. That would be ridculous. It's just fluid retention!

Amberelise- Yesssss to the weather. Definitely going to try to get in some walking today (operative word: try ). Never been to Sullivan's, though I walk past all the time. I am curious about edemame hummus, I'll have to try it. I have been to Keefer's (similar) for their outdoor patio.

Water is the name of the game today. Staying on plan, too, of course. Not going to make my weekly walking goal, but I think it's important that I get in at least some walking. That's always a challenge for me-- when I know I'm not going to hit a goal, it's really easy to say "OK, no use trying then." But I need to remember that something is better than nothing.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Sooooooo i actually thought yesterday was a really good OP day but after i added dinner into the calorie count (which wasnt a TON of calories) i ended up at about 1600. Even though my range is 1400 to 1600 i really prefer to stay right around 1400 for optimal results, especially because being sick i havent been working out. But then again, i did remember that i splurged for a bagel with cream cheese yesterday morning so that is the reason for the high calorie count. Still not too bad overall. TOM is dragging out and taking forever to go away and all i've wanted to do the last couple days is eat but i've managed relatively good self control.

When i opened the cabinet at the market to get my bagel yesterday i got this crazy aroma of boston cream donuts (my favorite) and literally stood staring and thinking about it for a good 2 minutes. i finally just walked away realizing i already was getting a bagel and that was enough of a treat so that takes some serious will power for me, trust me!!! I have been drinking about 2L of water a day, everyday. Hoping to up that to at least 3L come monday when i start Turbo Fire im so excited about it!

I am determined to make today a very very OP day, and drink plenty of water.. May even do some zumba tonight after work... and tomorrow... and run on sunday! Will be weighing in for the first time (finally) at the gym on sunday. I've been avoiding it with the TOM happening right as i started my journey.... So we'll see where i'm at with that! Have a good day everyone!

P.S. Having pork chops for dinner tonight. Any suggestions?

Totally agree @thebolded, it sounds like you gave your muscles a real workout over the past few days, I find plenty of water and a serious rest will get those pounds a heave ho!!! Whole grain tostitos sound sooo amazing right now, I want to make some pita chips asap now to try and simulate, lol

I am soooo sorry about your breakup but you gotta pick yourself back up girl!!!! You can do this and believe me (and I know you don't want to hear this now) but he WILL be a distant memory and you will find something to feel good about again.

I apologize for not having been very good about doing personals lately. We're going to be leaving for our first camping trip of the year (yay!) this afternoon, so I'll be offline again until at least Sunday. I will catch up with you wonderful ladies sooner than later, though!!

Almond Milk..... so I bought some last night (sugar free) 40 calories, 2 carbs, no sugar. Anyone else using it? Have any downsides?
I looooooove almond milk, regular and vanilla. It has less calories than milk, you can MAKE IT AT HOME (like really) and milk is gross (to me)!!! I'm glad being OP is getting easier, I'm hoping it gets a little easier for me as well!

Hope you all had a good day, looking forward to staying focused tomorrow!
Hey, all you can do is keep on keeping on...that's all I keep telling myself. I am not going to make me weekly goal of 2 lbs at all, IDK why, I've been pretty OP this week and I've been working out, but I just can't let it get me down, every ounce down, is not an ounce up...that's what I keep telling myself.

Great to hear about your kitty, I'm glad he's on the mend and there is no shame in changing your goals, you have lost so much already!!! And I'm sure your 2-year old keeps you plenty busy with his own brand of "exercise" lol

Welcome back and always keep snacks on hand, good snacks and plenty of water...I can be gone all day and the difference is keeping some water and some pre-measured snacks that I have already accounted for in my calorie counter. That has really made the difference for me. You can make it!!!

Thanks PHAT for the fell better wishes. Im home sick again today, I woke up and my throat was swollen and in alot of pain, and there is icky stuff coming out so I didn't want to infect the office. Tomorrow regardless of how I feel i'll be at work because I want to get my work caught up.

The meals you ladies are making look really yummy! I used to think pasta was my enemy due to calories and carbs, but now looking at it from a fat stand point...its my friend! in moderation and lots of fiber i'm all good

Nice job Fruitlady!
DTerminded: way to make a healthy dessert! I make a pie for my bf every month we are together and I'm working on substitutes so it can be healthier without losing flavor.

I'm gonna go rest now ladies, i'll check back on here later.
Hope you are feeling better and it sounds like Alli is working for you; a question: do you keep taking it forever, or do you stop at a certain point? I was always wondering about that.

Honestly, according to your avatar, you look great already!!! When i feel like i'm really in the swing of things for a week then i will and hopefully be pleasantly surprised! I did, however, have someone that i work with tell me it looked like i had lost weight. I was like in shock because i have been feeling like i havent really been putting in the effort so it definately made me feel pumped!

Made a cheesecake for my boyfriend last night and was REALLY close to not eating it.. but i had 2 bites anyways, even after i went for the 100 calorie cookies to curb the craving. But i tricked him and made it with low fat cream cheese and greek yogurt and egg substitute so i guess it wasnt too bad!

Got a recipe off of the skinnytaste.com! I Love That Website! I made chicken cordon bleu yesterday. its amazing what just swapping out for a few better choiced items can do?! Made roasted carrots with it that had literally nothing but dill and parsly on them and they were awesome! So dinner rang in at about 400 calories and i felt so full! It was a great moment that i needed to keep me going. Definately going to continue to use that website from now on!

I am looking for some crockpot recipes. Going to start using that on a daily basis so that my boyfriend can eat when he's ready and i can go to the gym after work and bring the leftovers to eat while at work so that i'm not eating at 11pm everyday! So anything will be helpful. We do mostly eat chicken, pork, and ground turkey. And mostly carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower. I have a turkey chili recipe already so if anyone else has any ideas or any other recipes that'd be great!

Having a pretty good, close to OP week and monday, let the Turbo Fire Begin! (i wouldve started it by its my sisters and she wont let me open it until monday haha). One slight disappointment: the friend i am training to run a 5k with is much more fit than me and is already running a mile in 15 minutes and i have barely started but that's alright, gives me the motivation to get stronger and kick her butt when we finally run the 5k!!! Have a good day ladies!
Things are only going to get better and when you run that 5K you are going to be like the wind, I just know it!!!

Hey, are you sure you're eating enough? Just a thought, we're around the same height and not the far off in weight and I could not live off of 1,000 cals a day, maybe give yourself a cheat day or 2 and try some cycling...I know a change for me=a loss (usually)

I had bootcamp again and it wasn't as intense mostly because I am not pushing myself like I feel I can, so the nest week it's all about giving it 150% for the entire time, or else, what's the point? I am OP so far and since yesterday was such a bad day, I'm keeping it to under 1,400 today. I'm kind of "stuck" at 237.4 so I'm hoping a few days of rest will get me to 236, which is kind of significant because it's my first 10 lbs lost since my reboot. Have a good weekend ladies, I'll be pretty busy so I won't be popping in until Weigh-in on Monday...Keep it OP (as possible) this weekend, I'll try my best!!!

HI Determined,

I like this recipe. (I've posted this site before, the recipes here ROCK!)

Pork chops with Dijon Herb Sauce.
http://www.skinnytaste.com/2008/06/p...ce-525-ww.html

The garlic lime pork chops are really good too.

jdonato- Great job! Hope your feeling better.

Congrads to all, you guys are doing great!

As for me, I had 1395 calories, went over by 200. I just had to have two small pieces of candy. I walked 35min and am still losing weight, it's just slowing down now. I have 2 lbs to go yet, but I decided to eat whatever I want on Mother's day since I've been sticking to my calories pretty well. Yeah, then I'll gain it all back w/ my luck!

Fruit: You deserve a break for mother's day! Just make sure you get back OP the next day and you'll be fine

Melissa: garlic lime pork chops? Sounds yummy. I love pretty much anything lime!

Fit: do you normally avoid chocolate completely? I know the "moderation" approach doesn't work for everyone, but for me, I usually have some kind of treat (i.e., skinny cow bar, fun size candy bar...something 100 cals or less) pretty much every day. I figure it's better than depriving myself and bingeing, which is what I KNOW I would do eventually. (Not that what you did was a "binge", but you know what I mean!)

DTermined1: I know what you mean about trying to stick to the "optimal results" calories. Surprisingly, though, I went over by 100-200 almost every day this week and still lost my usual pound. Who can really understand why our bodies behave the way they do sometimes!

Corazonas: I know you're not feeling good about things right now, but please do take care of yourself.

Amber: congrats on the 1.5! You're almost in the 140's, so exciting!!

Dogs: congrats on the loss! Sounds like a TON of work you did. I weigh in on Fridays for the same reasons.

Well...I am almost done with work for the day, sorry to those of you I missed (at least I caught up with this "page", lol.) Again, I hope everyone has a fantabulous weekend!!

Have a good weekend ladies, I'll be pretty busy so I won't be popping in until Weigh-in on Monday...Keep it OP (as possible) this weekend, I'll try my best!!!
Thanks, Im finally just about over this cold and I think I'm going to try to hit the gym tonight. It will be my first time in almost 10 years. Aside from a couple of yoga classes I've gone to.

When I want a candy bar or chocolate specifically, I eat a Special K Protein Snack Bar. The chocolate peanut butter bars taste just like a candy bar for 110 calories.

I had a HORRIBLE day at work. I don't know what is going on with the planets but I am ready to go the **** to bed. My feet are KILLING me.
However I: stuck to my plan and didn't eat any food besides the stuff I brought with me. Also I went to see my wifey after work (she manages a bar) to pick up my new cell phone and didn't have any beer or hot wings although I would have loved to have both.
So, victories all around.

Congrats on all your losses, girls!

I have a couple hundred cals left so I think I'll have some ice cream. A little calorie controlled comfort food is fine, right?
