I weighed in this morning and I got a huge shock. My scale said 114.0. I didn't exercise yesterday but I definitely will from today on to keep the weight off. I have surpassed my Memorial Day goal of 114.6. I am going to revise my goal and shoot for 112.9 on May 30th.
Hooray for you!!! You must feel so great!!!

Down another 2.5 today. Kinda freaky. That's 8 lbs since Sunday, but that's the way low carb goes. Only 2 pounds to go to Memorial Day goal so I may re-evaluate mine as well.

    WOOT!
  • Great job on all the weight loss everyone!

jdonato- thank you, your a sweetheart.

Walked for 40min & had 2253 calories. Trying not to deprive myself, I wanted a donut & a few small pieces of candy. My calories ended up way too high, i can't stay away from sugar for more than two days lately. I wonder what would happen with my weight if I ate all clean & stayed within my calories range every other day and on the other days still ate clean meals but allowed some sweets. I'd be over my calorie limit every other day, that might not be a good idea! just a thought
  • Got on the scale this morning, it read 262....sort of.

It actually read anywhere between 261.0 to 263.2, I basically averaged it out and took that weight. Stupid scale!.

So, I made my Victoria Day challenge weight, YAY! And I am hot on the heels of my Memorial Day challenge weight Hope everyone else is doing ok. I'd do personals, but the sun is glaring brightly on my monitor. Not that I am complaining about the sun...
  • Hey guys...

So I've been bouncing around for the past two weeks between a low of 177.9and a high of 179.9 (WAY too close to the 180's for my liking!!) Today I'm in the middle at 178.6. I am starting TOM today though, so hoping for something under 177.9 next week...busting this "mini" plateau and hitting a new low would be a big psychological boost for me....been kind of bummed out with weight loss lately

Definitely not going to make my 100 lbs lost goal by Memorial Day, but I will keep plugging along until I get there.

Congrats to you who are doing well and hugs to those stuggling...I feel your pain!
  • Hi ladies. Official weigh in today. I came in at 148.5. So, it's a 1 pound loss from last week. Not great, but my diet has not been perfect. My exercise has been perfect, though. I was hoping for a little better results, but I suppose the food consumption really IS that important. *sigh*

Anyway, though, I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow and all of the fresh foods will get me back on track I think. My problem really is my social life. Last night I went to Adler After Dark and had to eat there. Tomorrow I'm doing brunch with a friend, and tomorrow night I have a Hawaiian Luau cooking class. Next week I'm going to the movies, a knives cooking class and massage at The Peninsula Spa. All nights I'll need to eat downtown.

I've found Pret a Manger which puts their calories on their menu. AND, Protein Bar is opening across the street from me in about a week! So, that will help immensely with my calorie counting. I mean, learning how to eat when out with friends is probably the biggest lesson I need to learn, right?

How many times do you weight yourself? If I get the same number 3 times in a row, then that is my "official" weight and I chart that number. Yay for a loss though!

TOM sucks! I hope you can make your goal.

Great job on the weight loss! When I go out, I usually look at the nutrition menu of the restaurant online first so I can decide what I want that fits in my calorie range. I also usually eat a light breakfast and lunch so I can really treat myself for dinner. Those cooking classes sound like so much fun.

I somehow lost 0.6 lbs overnight without working out. I've been in my calorie range and just hoping for the best. I don't know if I will jinx the loss by working out. I'm a little scared. I think I will stick to weights and not cardio for now.

I've been working on a dress for my daughter for 2 days now and it's almost finished. I'm so proud of my work, especially since I just started using my sewing machine.
  • Hey everyone. I have not abandoned the ship...well I was AWOL. My life has been chaos on steriods. So anywho, I got things together and I'm doing good. I have been eating healthy except a couple days I was willfully off plan. I did loose an inch last week and tomorrow is measuring day. Now that life has gotten back in proper calibration I expect the rest of the challenge to be easy breezy.

I catch up on things later.
  • Calories will be 2250 today, not good for the second day. I'm going back to depriving myself, allowing sweets when I want them gets to be an everyday thing. That kind of eating is why I was over weight to begin with. I'm going to try eating clean til I can't stand the cravings for sweets anymore, then I will have some. I want to go at least 3 days eating clean before I eat junk, it's the weekend so it's gonna be tough. Exercised 20min on the bike, I'm up 3oz. not bad, tomorrow could be worse. Just eating lean protein for dinner!

It depends. I got on the scale and it said 263.2 and I thought "That doesn't seem right". Got off, got back on, it said 261...did this several times until I realized that no matter what I did, it kept jumping back and forth between 261.0, 263.2 and 262.4...I probably ended up weighing myself 9 or 10 times cause it kept changing...BLAH! Typically I'm not so obsessive, but the loss just didn't seem right at first.
  • Hi all, back up to 254 today but that doesn't surprise me. When I low carb, it seems like I get a "preview" weight..usually in the afternoon (I really shouldn't be weighing myself several times a day) and then my weight goes back up, usually 2 pounds or so, and then in a couple of days it goes back to the "preview" weight for real. A nutritionist told me that the body will either post losses on the scale or in inches, but it doesn't do both at the same time... so any of you out there if the scale seems stuck, take heart.. you are getting smaller!
  • Hola Chicas.. havent been on here in a few days.. cant lie, Ive still been in a huge slump cause of losing my job, but I do feel better.. things are coming together slowly. ive had several interviews with different companies, staffing agencies, etc.. & im doing my praying as well.. I have to be honest & say that even though I havent went crazy with food, I did slip into a sweet tooth craze for the last week.. Especially since I had my period this past week as well.... I need to get that back under control, but other than that, I have lost an additional 2 & 1/2 lbs, & im close to my memorial day goal.. I might make it even though I didnt think I would!
  • Phat- I'll be praying for you too!
Ekicna-Way to go on sewing! It takes so much patience!

At the end of my TOM so I decided to wait to weigh myself until tomorrow so hopefully I will have a loss.
  • I had a Apocalypse cheat day yesterday and went crazy...and now I'm up to 236 freakin pounds!!! That's 3 lbs in a day. Yea, I'm pretty upset about it and I it;s nobody's fault but my own. I will do personals tomorrow, I'm still too pi$$ed off at myself.
  • Walked for 31min., did yard work & was out running around doing errands. Didn't sit all day. Had 1488 calories, was extra hungry, but ate all clean! Lost 3.3lbs in 3 days!
  • The scale flopped around (113.4, 113.6, 114.0, 114.2-- and I got several of those numbers in a row and then if I weighed again, I would get a new number) a lot today, but the good news is that I lost an inch in my waist. I did bicep/tricep exercises and abs last night. We will see how weigh in tomorrow goes. I have turned into a daily weigher again.
