Hi ladies. Thanks for all of the helpful and supportive responses. I got the courage to weigh today and I did lose a pound. So that's good news.
I only had one beer last night. And, we ordered thin crust pizza with no cheese. The bread and the goat cheese appetizer was probably no the wisest, though... Either way, it was a decent day with all of the walking and exercise that I did. Here comes the weekend! Always tough, but we can do it.
Amberelise- sounds like you made good choices, high five to you!
I did have an off-plan evening last night, but I meticulously tracked. What put me over? Red, red wine put me over. Not stressing about it though. Lots of water today. I made a hearty breakfast of a couple fried eggs, toast w/butter, and some sharp cheddar. Still full and feel I can easily stay within my cals today-- which is good because that's often how a cheat night can turn into a cheat weekend (drink alcohol, feel awful the next day, and justify eating crap to help a hangover).
Quick check in...Family is arriving and I need to get to entertaining. Just reporting that I lost 1/2 in...that's all even with all my hard work...but I did loose 3 pounds!! I take it how it comes and feel good about me. I'll get with you guys later...probably tomorrow or Monday. Whenever the famly leaves. I'm tired already from preparing and we are going on to do the Lupus Walk that's two miles. Pray I don't fall out.
Ekicna: I use the lose it app. I LOVE it! I seriously don't know how successful I'd be at calorie counting before the invention of the smartphone!
Well, I'm in full-on TOM mode now. At least it seems more normal this month. TMI warning---but last month I had this long, lingering "pre" TOM thing going on for days before the "real" thing hit. It was over a week long all together, ugh! My cycle also seems to be regulating a bit. Back around the holidays I was getting it like every 3 weeks. Now it seems to back closer to a normal 28 day cycle. Our bodies are so weird sometimes.
Anyhoo....hope everyone is having a good weekend. It's rainy and crappy here today, but at least it's not snow!!
I don't know what I would do without my smartphone. I hope your TOM leaves quickly for you, have a great weekend!
Although I went out to eat last night, I'm down 0.4 lbs for a grand total of 1 lb lost for my Memorial Day goal!
Thanks for the encouragement Northern Exposure. Good Luck to you. I seem to have pulled a little more will power out of my hat this week just reading about all the people working so hard to make a difference in their lives! What an inspiration!
Exercise is my hurdle yesterday, I got into the pool and did 12 laps the pool is 42' long. It took me about 15 minutes. The water wasn't too bad. I'm getting ready to plug in a Pilates DVD and do 20 minutes. Have a nice week end everyone and remember to stay on plan Peace Out.
Checking in! Decided to stick with WW but would still like to participate here if that is ok. I am 219 on WW's scale (which is about 2 lbs lighter than mine here and it was a loss of 2.8 for the week). I'm going to revise my goal and hope to get down to 215 by memorial day. We are going to Bonnaroo this year (huge music festival in Tenn) and I'd like to be as small as possible by then!
I am inching ever close to Onederland! I know I will get there eventually.
Had 1428 calories, only 28 calories over my limit. Exercised 46 min, been eating clean for 5 days. No loss this morning, now I know I gained 4lbs of fat from Easter. Fat takes so long to lose, it starts to feel hopeless.
Hey ladies.. Sorry I haven't been in to do any kind of checking up. I have been a little discouraged last night & today.. The scale has moved in the wrong direction I think its because of all the screwing up I've done the past week. My stove went out on me & because of that I have been eating less healthy foods.. Chinese take out .. fast food, sandwiches, etc ... I know my sodium is through the roof.. *sigh* .. its depressing thinking about how long its taken to lose all this weight & how fast it takes to gain it back...
I'm not gonna let it stop me though .. tomorrow is Sunday & a new beginning to a new week .. I got a new stove that will be delievered tomorrow, so I will be planning my meals for next week & making sure I stay ON PLAN for the remainder of this challenge..
good job to everyone whos losing & having a good start to the challenge !!!! enjoy the rest of your weekends ladies..
I am really getting used to eating a smaller amount of calories per day. I love calorie counting! Its so much easier now that I have been doing it for 3 weeks. I hope my daily caloric intake limit goes down when I weigh in tuesday because I hope I have lost a lb or 2!
Phat - It can be discouraging when we gain while trying to lose. But it will come off again, probably even faster. Glad you are getting a new stove tomorrow. Sounds like you are still headed in the right direction. Here's to Sunday and a new week!

Hey! I'm going to Bonnaroo too!! My fifth year in a row. I'm getting free tickets through the street team this year by hanging posters and handing out stickers. Anyways, I'd like to lose 8 lbs by Memorial Day and 10 lbs by Bonnaroo. Last year, I think I was around 210 lbs at Bonnaroo and I struggled. The record heat was a huge factor. Hopefully, this year will have cooler weather. 2008 was awesome with temps in the 80's all weekend. I'm going to try to exercise a lot in May so I can get ready for all the walking. In 2007, we were put out in BFE and had to walk 45 minutes to an hour in 90 degree heat to get to the gates. My friend passed out the first day and had to go to the first aid tent. Freaked me out at the time (I thought she was having a seizure) but we laugh about it now. I'm also anticipating a lot of standing as I would like to get close to the stage for Eminem and Buffalo Springfield (with my bad luck, they'll be on different stages - I'm hoping they are both on What). Last year, I was front row behind the pits for Jay-Z. I got there in the afternoon during Jimmy Cliff and had to stand for 7-8 hours because it was too crowded to sit. I got to crouch a little between The Dead Weather and Stevie Wonder but it didn't help much. My feet were killing me so much that I missed most of the late night acts. This year, I'm bringing more comfortable shoes. Losing a couple pounds will make a huge difference as well. Sorry for the rambling post. Bonnaroo makes me really excited and I can hardly wait for this year's festival.
Good luck on your goal. Keep up the good work and you'll look amazing for Bonnaroo.

I appreciate the rambling post, we are Bonnaroo virgins! We have almost everything we need -- I think -- except the dry ice and the beer! We will be in the VIP section so at least we'll have showers and be a little closer to the stages. I'm so excited, it's coming up fast!
Spooky and Ally: We go to a music fest in Wisconsin called Hodag every year...it's SO fun! So even though we don't go to the same festival, I totally get your excitement! I'm secretly hoping to to get to the 160's by then (early July). I will probably gain about 5 of it back, but it's my time of year just to forget about EVEYRTHING and just have fun for 4 days. Sounds like a lot of walking for your fest too...I think that saved me from not doing TOO much damage last year! Anyway...have fun!!
