Hi, well I am here to confess this week will be a bust. HUGE family wedding - let's just say wine, beer and mashed potato's were involved.

I am going to PP for the next 6 months...okay - just the next few days to get back on track.

I have to say that I am ready for a little bit of a set back because we had such fun...relatives we don't see very often because they live so far away - dancing....laughing .... all good times.

I just started doing more exercise a couple of weeks ago. I'm doing stuff like WATP and Wii Fit/Golds Gym cardio boxing. Both are definitely more intense than regular walking, and I had a great week on the scale this week that I think comes from this extra activity.

I think it's ok to do more but I did take it slowly in terms of feeling like I really had to basics of the plan down first and then this was something I added in when I felt ready. I didn't want to burn out by trying to tackle too much at once.

thanks april snow. i think i will do abit more than just the walking. i'm not going to go crazy with the exercise but i was doing 1.5/2 hours a day before i started the diet and it's driving me a bit mental not doing much. i will see how it goes though and if it starts to affect my results i will stop doing so much

Default Just started Dukan Attack Phase

Hello all.
I'm 37, in the UK and weigh too much :-(
Years of sedentary lifestyle and binging on chocolate and eating late at night has taken its toll.
But it's time to sort myself out.
I started the Dukan attack phase on Saturday and doing well so far.
I do have a headache though (and yes I am obsessively drinking water).
Would be great to have a support community here to exchange ideas.
Flora x

hi Flora and welcome!!

I found that taking good vitamins, including magnesium and potassium, helped me avoid a lot of the normal "induction flu."

also, if you really need to, you can have an extra serving of oat bran.

@ Roxiebelle and April Snow - thanks for the welcomes.
I'm amazed at the initial weight loss with the attack phase. I know much of it is water weight but it is still motivating! I can't wait to get my hands on some veggies though!

congrats Roxie!!!

Flora - I make chicken soup and don't put any noodles or anything in it. So it's the broth and the chicken meat. On PV days, I cook up some broccoli and add that to a serving of soup, for PP days, I just have the broth and chicken meat.

I got some great Tupperware soup containers so it's easy to take to work and heat up in the microwave.

Hey everyone

I started the Dukan diet on 29th August and so far have lost 8.5 pounds. Not weighed myself this week as I'm feeling a tad lardy..but we shall see what the scales say on Monday lol

I won't lie, I have struggled, but I haven't cheated at all (which is really surprising for me), so thought joining here would help me to keep on track

Hi Blondie, Welcome. I am new here too. How much are you trying to lose?

April Snow - I like the sound of the soup. I have a chicken to cook at home tomorrow so perhaps I will try it. I think it is a good idea to have on plan lunches at hand.

welcome blackbeltblondie!

great results so far!! And hope that this thread and 3fc keep keep you going!

The first couple of weeks were the toughest for me - it's ok to have some extra oat bran if you are struggling to stay on plan. At least for me, it's gotten pretty easy since then to stay on plan and I have been OP since I started on 5/22.

For me the biggest issue was getting serious about the walking - I was doing it sort of half heartedly, but am now doing more vigorous activity every day and seeing a dramatic uptick in my weight loss again.
