We are entering birthday season here, and I have to acknowledge there will be some binging. I figure I'll do what the good doctor suggests in his book and just follow up any transgressions with a couple of days of PP. While I know it's not ideal, I figure it's the best thing to do. Has anyone else had a similar experience with that?
Same here! Labor Day Cookout was a torture. Several birthdays coming up. So I am planning on doing PP on days that there is nothing going on. Hopefully things will balance out. And when life gets back to normal until next month, I'm gonna do a mini attack for 2-3 days just to clear my system out. You are right, not the best. But that's life. And even as we try to reach our WL goals, we shouldn't totally pass out on life. Enjoy your days. Life is short. Just don't go crazy, like eating the whole cake - boy, I sure wanted it. I love cake! Somehow I managed to be good
I've been dealing with celebrations and meals out and all of that with a different mindset - that the time spent with family and friends is what matters, not what I eat.
I'm not going to say that I'm not tempted at all, but not enough to want to stop my forward progress. I think I'm afraid that if I go off plan, I'll jinx myself and I'll either stop losing and/or find it harder to stay on plan (because right now, it honestly is not all that hard for me).
But I think I started at a significantly higher weight than most of you, so maybe that explains why I feel a bit more desperate to keep things going!
Losing the weight is important but we still have to participate in life.
Plus the beauty of this is the PP days we can use to get back on track.
I have a wedding this weekend - who knows what they are serving at the reception. I have going to have a galette before I go so I am FULL!!! Maybe I will get lucky and it will be something I don't like so I can just say " I don't like this" and not eat it OR I know another reception I was at in the same place served meat balls, turkey and ham... I could work with that.

Yes! That is the best part. Almost like an eraser that helps us get back on track, easy and fast. I was good as angel, and had PP day with 2 eggs, FF yogurt, oat bran with cinnamon, splenda @ skim milk. For dinner I had pork steak, I forgot to weigh it, so I'm guessing it may be about 4 oz.
I also went to zumba tonight, and had an awesome sweaty workout. Basically, I'm pretty happy about today And hoping for a great day tomorrow as well!
to me, one of the best things about this plan is that I don't have to worry about weighing and measuring and tracking my food.
You are so right, April, but I'm always wanting to see how many calories I end up with each day, it's a long habit matter... I guess at the end, the couriousty killed the cat!
when I first started, I was still logging my food into Fitday too but I was able to let that drift away. And at least for me, I really believe that the less I focus on food and what I eat and how much I eat, the more easily I stick to this plan and continue to be successful on it.

I SO agree with this, April....the more I have to think and prepare food the more I want to eat....so this plan is perfect for me.
hey girls, how is everyone getting on? im almost finished my 5th day of attack, so only 2 more days until veges yey! Haven't weighed in yet because TOM decided to arrive on day 3, so will wait until i start cruise to weigh. Loving the diet, never being hungry on this plan is a great feeling!

Roxie -
just a heads up that it's totally normal to put back on a small amount of water weight when you first start Cruise and start eating veggies. So you may want to WI that first morning you start Cruise before you've eaten anything, just so you get a better picture of your post-Attack weight.
We are going out to a fried chicken restaurant for a family dinner tonight. But I found out that they have a low carb choice where you still get the chicken (it's cooked in a way where it's not fried until the very end so as long as I take off the skin, it will not be too greasy) and I can get a salad instead of all the normal carby side dishes.
So I can go out and enjoy the gathering without having to worry about staying on plan!
