Thanks Teacherlady! I tend to be more of a stalker on here than a poster. So I have seen your progress and struggles, I know it is just having the strength to get back on. It is much easier to be on program than it is to restart it after you have fallen. That has been my big motivator. Plus, I don't think I would have progressed this far if I was not also dealing with the reasons I am overweight in the first place and my addiction to food. I am determined to make this the last time I have to do this. Good luck on your journey! I know you can do it!! I hope you start feeling better soon.

Also, I've had on/off stomach ickiness going on. For no apparent reason, my stomach will just feel "off." Not totally nauseated feeling (though sometimes), but just icky feeling. And the water sloshing around in my belly doesn't help.

I didn't feel good on Wednesday, but still forced myself to go workout. Usually that makes me feel better, but it just made me feel dizzy and icky this time. My blood pressure has always been totally normal (low-normal when I was skinny), and it has gone down to low-normal since I've started the program. My sister (a nurse) told me that there's really no such thing as blood pressure that's too low, unless you're passing out or not breathing, lol. Mine's been running about 94/53 to 108/68 lately. I think it's what's making me dizzy, and I just need to be more careful when standing up, etc. Better too low than too high, I guess.

Mostly, I think I'm just grumpy because I haven't felt "normal" all week and I'm just really wishing I could hurry up and lose the last 10 lbs and be DONE--but it's taking FOREVER.
Have you totally cut down on water because of this? It could explain some of the dizziness. Otherwise I would say you probably getting a cold or something and your body is demanding all your resources - which means you would have to take more caloric intake in to even things out. Basically your body is in a type of starvation mode. I'm obviously not a doctor, but those are the only things I can think of.

Amazing! Can't wait until I can sign the 90lb. board! I'm really hoping to sign the 20lb board in the next couple of weeks.

Good luck with your 1/2 marathon!

I keep making myself drink the water, too. Even when I felt my worst (Wed), I still drank close to 90 or 100oz of water (I usually average 75-100oz/day).

I don't feel like I'm getting sick, but I am really tired, too. I wondered about the starvation mode thing, but I've been a little lax since last saturday and have been averaging more calories per day than I'm supposed to. I'm going to weigh in on Saturday and just go from there.

They moved me to the green menu on Saturday, but I'm wondering if the metabalance might be a better switch for me--if maybe I'd be less likely to stray from the menu due to hunger if I have a menu that spreads my meals out and adds a few extra calories but is still "on plan." I was fine on the beige menu, but I've noticed more hunger on the green one--I haven't had a 100% OP day yet because of it.

I would also like to up my exercise (depending on my schedule availability) now that the weather is getting warmer.

I know for a fact mozzerella is a soft cheese and not supported by my center. A few hard cheeses that I use are Asiago, Monterey Jack Dry, Queso Majorero - some are extremely crumbly and STRONG.

I do however shred the sharp cheddar myself (instead of buying packaged shredded) - which looks "normal" and has a feel of "normal" soft cheese. I just can't eat 3 oz of it ... so I tend to leave it out of my program as much as possible. At the most I eat 1 oz at snack if I'm out of cottage cheese.

I will hopefully have the list today or Monday.

OOohh .. I just remembered - are you still taking the SlimQuick? The caffeine could be getting to you.

Update on metaprotein:

I am LOVING this menu. I don't miss the carb serving, just the fruit. But I can deal with that for being able to eat cheese at every meal and a slice of bacon or heavy cream (for sauces). Amazing. I'll be sad to see it go at the end of the two weeks.

But it is kinda making me tired. I remember feeling sluggish on Atkins (which this is very similar to) and I'm sure its the change in food making me feel tired all day. But its ok. It hasn't affected my work out, I just had to push past the tired feeling 10-15 minutes in.

My home scale also showed I was down 1.5 pounds this morning. Can't wait to weigh in Tuesday and see this plateau broken! My center said I needed to lose at least 3 pounds to consider it broken....so 2 pounds to go to break it!

So you can only do it for a max of two weeks? How often do they allow you to repeat?

I started it this morning. I just need an extra boost. I tend to have a major 'mess up' about once every two weeks (yesterday) so I thought it would help me get back on track faster. We will see.

But I stepped up with my $1 and asked for a bottle of water. My sister in law was laughing at me but she's so proud of me. After the ball game, they were all going to dinner. I told them I already ate mine and I was going home.
That is so awesome!! There is a consession stand at my son's soccer games and I avoid it like the plage (popcorn is my downfall). I think it is inspiring that you were able to go to the stand and walk away with a bottle of water and nothing else - good job!

Techerlady - Hope you are feeling better soon. There dizziness could be related to your blood pressure, espeically if this has droped quickly. It is possible for your BP to get too low and usually the key for this is the bottom number, anything 40 or under can become concerning.

We are havnig the same debate over the Kindle and the Nook. Right now I have just a cheap E-reader that I use with my kids but I plan on getting "fancy" one for myself and just can't decide which to go with.

Thanks for sharing this is so inspirational! Congrats! I was planning on walking/jogging in our local 1/2 marathon this fall but it has been canceled due to road construction! I'm not sure if I will look for one near by or wait for next year but this is a goal that I plan on reaching in the next 1-2 years.
