  • PiYo Update
Well - I went to the PiYo class that my center last night. The lady who teaches it is from World's Gym - she does a Spinning class, Yoga, Pilates, the Boot Camp and if you're familiar with World's Gym .. she does the "R.I.P.P.E.D" class! Her husband did the MRC program and lost over 80lbs. and that's how she started teaching there.

Anyway - Downward Dogs, Resting child's, Warriors, Supermans, Leaping Frogs... And so much more! There was a lot of up & down and being on your hands & knees. My knees didn't hold up every well and I actually have bruises this morning. There were slight modifications but even with the modifications, it was hard! I'm not too sore this morning, besides my knees and I think I feel those muscles that have been hidden for so many years.. yes, my abs! I think I have abs somewhere underneath all this flab. I sure feel those this morning.

Going to keep doing it. I'm not a quiter! But next time, I'm definitely NOT going to go to the gym before I go to this class. It's exhausting.
  • Just a quick post since I see my sister pulling in the driveway...

I lost TWO pounds and it's TOM too. All the extra water I chugged was worth it!!

That is great... I am happy for you...

  • Well, only down a .5 pound....but my favorite counselor at the center said she was happy with that. That the meta-protein isn't so much for losing bunches of weight, but kickstarting my fat loss again...and she thinks it will do that.

She also talked to me about the possibility of not hitting my goal. She was saying that not everyone can make it to that low of a BMI....and (like her) I may have to stabilize where my body wants me to...not necessarily where I want to. Like I would like to get to 140...but she was saying 155-160 might be better as it may be where I stop losing at. We will see.

And my Zumba class went well this morning. We had lots of fun.
  • Hi..
Weighed in and gained again, this time 1/2 pound, last Friday gained .9 pounds. Center not happy , but I don't know what to do. I have not gone to stabilization full force, per their request and my sensitivity to starch and fruit, so I have no idea why I gained.. I drank my water, exercised daily, and did what I should do.

It would not be so frustrating but every time I gain, they want to sell me all these kits or supplements, and mercy me, I take enough now and I do decline.

Just venting, I guess, thanks for listening.. It is difficult when one does not go off program to gain two weigh ins, but I guess this is what stabilization is all about.

I was told today, if one takes Phenatrim, not to take it late at night, as clients have told the Center that it keeps them up.

Hope everyone has a great day and a great weight loss.

    Hi..
You will probably be fine, if you do not go to gym before class.. Good for you , taking the initiative and going.. They had boot camp at my Center, but I was working and out of town, so missed it. It sounds like it was an intense workout and glad you made it . It does become easier the more you go.

  • Wanted to post, as I believe I forgot to, the Final Stabilization that I will be on.
I am on Meta Slim, and this is the additions in total for stabilation from the 6th week on.This is in addition to your menu.

Starch.. One starch serving at lunch every day
Fruit.. One fruit serving at breakfast every day
Dairy Two dairy servings every day
    Vegetable
One new vegetable serving two times week.( These are the high
starchy veggies, like carrots, peas, winter squash, etc.) T
Fat One fat serving every day.. This includes peanut butter, avocado
    nuts, soft cheese, etc.:

Stabilization may be different if on another program, but as I said, this is what they gave me and I am on Meta Slim.

Any questions, please feel free to ask.

I hope it does end up kickstarting your fat loss, but she may be right--and I'm wondering about that for myself. Even when I'm in great shape and a good body fat %, I tend to weigh heavier on scales than most people. When I was at my skinniest in HS, I was at about 170--and my doctor told me I shouldn't weigh any less than 165 or 160 or my body fat % would be too low for a woman. And I'm only 5'5"!

When I lost about 40 lbs 10 years ago, I got down to 190, and that was tough to maintain for me during the school year (you know, working full-time tends to get in the way of exercise. bummer). I found that 200-208 was easier for me to maintain for several years. Here I am at 206, STRUGGLING to lose any more weight. I'm struggling mentally because I don't know if this is where I should stay, or if there's something more I should try to lose these last 10lbs.

Either way, I'm definitely interested to see how the metaprotein ends up working out for you.

Patzi-- I feel for you. That must be terribly frustrating and saddening--and then to have them make you feel worse about it by them being "unhappy," it makes you feel like you're doing something wrong (when you're not) or that there's some way you should have better control over your body (ha!).

IMHO, I would stay away from adding supplements--this is stabilization, and it is supposed to be backing you off from the "diet" and moving you into "real life eating." You aren't going to be able to take supplements forever (as if we could afford it!), so I would try to do it as "naturally" as possible. That's just my opinion, but it kind of sounds like you and I think alike on this one.

I really don't have any advice for you, but I wanted to let you know that I'm listening and feel for you.

I know this is frustrating for you. Maybe you should cut out one food between each wi and see if that is the problem, then a different food if needed, until you figure out which food is the trigger. Just an idea...

Thank you, teacher lady.. I agree with you. I am staying away from adding supplements, and I was stern with that today, I guess as I have been so many times before. LOL. Today in my business I made myself a list of what the new stabilizations are in addition to the Meta Slim diet, and will decide what I think would be the best way to go.. Appreciate your input.

Thanks... I am going to go over my eating and tweak it myself until next weigh in and hopefully, it will be fine..

    Patzi,
I hope you can figure things out with stabilization.

I haven't had any issues with taking Phentatrim late but I also take Trazodone to help me sleep. I usually take the Phentatrim 15-30 minutes before I eat, so at night, it's usually 6:30 or 7:00 when I take it. Then my Trazodone closer to bedtime And I'm fine. I did take 2 Cortitrim with my 2 MSM's after dinner one night and that kept me awake, even with the sleeping pill. So that was the last time I took the Cortitrim's at night.

I'm sure everyone is affected differently but this has been my experience.

I think this is the best option. You have been at this for awhile and are probably the best authority on what is going on with your body. I know gaining is so fustrating - especially after finally getting to goal - but your gains have been small and trying to figure out what works for you is what satbilization is all about. I'm 100% certain you can figure this out and solve the problem without added supplements. Hang in there we are all cheering for you!
