WI today and lost another 2 pounds for a total of 20 lbs in 35 days! I was a bit shocked - TOM is here and I still lost 3 lbs this week. I have felt like I was starving all week but stayed OP!

Oh, I forgot about the slimquick! I bet it is the caffeine! I didn't take it this afternoon, and I feel fine today, so I wonder if that is it. I think I'll just quit taking it and switch to the MRC6.

I finally decided on getting a kindle. They are becoming internet-ready, and starting to enable book sharing, so it's exactly what I want. I went ahead and ordered it today (arrives in about 8 days!), but I'm not going to let myself open or start to use it until I hit 200 on that darn scale! I'm hoping that this will be a big enough reward and motivation to buckle down and get it done!

Thanks Mariah. What helped me is to think about spending $119 at the center before I went over there :-)

I feel sooo great today! I am wearing a new black dress I got on clearance at Target. Its very slim fitting (and a size 10! woot woot). 3 people at work have commented on how great I look/how much weight I've lost/I'm about to disappear....and I'll tell ya...its just darn awesome feeling.

Today, I feel like a skinnier version of me. And it feels so good.

Not starting the weekend off.. My 3rd week and I only lost 1 pound. But of the 14lbs I've lost 11lbs of that has been pure fat and I'm down 9.5 inches. Sure do hope I can lose more next week. Going to get more exercise in and maybe back off on the water a bit. I'm drinking about a gallon a day.. somedays more than a gallon.

Went to a local butcher shop and brought ground Elk & Buffalo. So going to give those a try this weekend. I also think I'm getting too used to my foods because I'm eating the same thing over and over.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm going for a massage tomorrow morning. After this week, I really need it.

Where did you get the Elk and Buffalo? And how much was it per pound? I order online because I hadn't found anywhere locally that carried it....

Maria..
Great loss. You are doing so well. Are you doing the two meal program a day? When I was starving all week, they told me to add more fatty fish like
salmon to my menu and maybe eat it twice a week, so you may want to mention it to them. Be proud of yourself,20 pounds in 35 days is fantastic.

I went to Ivan's Old Time Meat Shop in Rogers. Kinda out of the way for me but it's all farm raised instead of wild. Both were $8.99/lb. They also had Buffalo Roast but it was $21 - not sure how much per pound but there was a roast towards the back that was $30. It was just a little too rich for me because I don't even know if I'm going to like Buffalo.

Anyway - if you know where Suzie Q Malt Shop is then it's down on the other end away from downtown Rogers. 2101 N 2nd St.

How much is it when you order online?

I really like using buffalo meat for two of my MRC recipes-- buffaloaf (buffalo meatloaf) and the MRC Texas chili.

As far as weight loss slowing down--that's TOTALLY normal! It happens to EVERYONE right at about week 3. It's frustrating, I KNOW! But just remember that this will pass within a week or so, and you're weightloss will pick right back up as long as you stay OP.

You can do it!

Thanks! Don't remember how much it was online...but I order from buffalogal.com It has been good quality and ships well. We LOVE buffalo. When we move and get a big freezer, we will take advantage of their 1/8 or 1/4 buffalo combos and stock up. I could eat it every meal and say goodbye to beef.

Unhappy The Womanly Time

I guess that's a nice way of saying it. What do you all do around your time of the month? Every time I'm about to start my lovely cycle, I want to eat everything in sight! What do you all do to help with this? I feel like my weight loss slows so much pre and during the cycle. Help!

This week was my first experience OP at that time. Basically I was hungry all week (normally I don't feel hugry at all). I did try and use HNS I could eat rather than drink (Jello, pudding, crisps, etc) and maxed out my HNS (5 daily) and that seemed to help. I ate more raw veggies as I find them a bit more filling and I did use a few fiber drinks.

Before MRC I typically would gain 5 lbs or so during this time, but this week I lost 3. I keep trying to tell myself that my growling stomach is a good thing to have from time to time and draink plenty of water. Hopefully others will have more suggestions.

Mariah
