Well -I did it! Signed up for 17 weeks - they didn't offer the $79 or $99 dollar special though! But I figured it out and it is still alot less than Jenny Craig was. I like the fact that I can buy "regular" food as well - instead of the prepacked stuff. I liked the consultant - hope my schedule will allow me to work with her most weeks - but I met a bunch of the other ladies and they seemed really nice as well. Oh - now I've started, how do I get a ticker?

Congratulations!!! and welcome to your journey!

I think that being able to eat your own food was a big time seller for me. The classes was the other. I wanted to understand why I made the choices I made and how I got to where I was. If you have a chance go to the classes.

What I've found with the consultants is that I always had my favorite(s) but they all have something valuable.... and each one is totally different; some are more about the heart and head issues, some are more scientific, some are gentle with you and others give you a little kick in your butt when you really need it. It's very interesting to get to know each of them on their own merits and use them to further your success.

So, about the ticker. It's 30 posts or 30 days until you get the ticker.... so start posting (from what I remember anyway)!

Welcome!

Thanks for the great motivation! I'm really excited about the program. I was a bit upset about my starting weight - higher than my scale at home - but I usually weigh in the buff at home and of course couldn't do that at the center!!

I've already started with the multi-vitamin, EFA, fiber drink and the MRC6. We have a trip planned at the end of February to Hawaii and I really want to see a difference by then. My consultant says if I follow the plan - it is realistic to see a 20-30 pound loss by then!! I would be happy with 10!!

I'll definitely keep checking here as already I'm learning so much from all of you!!!

Oh, i need a little rant here...I'm between sizes and it's driving me crazy!! I remember this from last time I lost with MRC. Its the most frustrating thing for me. I look like a slob in my clothes, but I can't wear the smaller size yet. *sigh* The only good thing about it is that people notice my weight loss more when my clothes hang on me. I just don't love it.

I must say - I'm looking forward to this type of problem!! It has been so long since I haven't felt like I'm squeezing into pants that should be baggy!!

Oh but what a great problem to have! So much better than the alternative of clothes being too tight!

Yes you're right...its not a horrible problem to have and I can't wait until I have it with the next size smaller I know I shouldn't complain about it, but I couldn't help it...I was just frustrated with it at that moment.

Ahhhhhhhhh Sam! It's an awesome problem to have, but it is indeed frustrating!! You're doing so great (just like you did before) and are a great inspiration.

Good Morning to all! Today is the official day of my start of pre-conditioning. I kind of started yesterday - but had a couple of final cocktails to kick off my journey.

I go in next Friday for my meal planning/training meeting! Looking forward to the baggy pants problem and getting into all of my smaller sizes that I used to be able to fit into! And of course clearing out the clothes that get to big!

By the time I earn my ticker - I want to be able to show my first loss!!

Default Any advice??

Hi everyone! I am also new -- I started preconditioning on 11/29 and lost 4.5 pounds that week. I then started with the Meta-Slim yellow menu for 4 days and I'm now on the blue menu for 6 days. After a week on the plan (TOTALLY on plan, nothing else has passed these lips!), I am down only a half a pound. How could that be? I read about the plateaus, but how could I have a plateau my first week OP? Please help, as I'm totally discouraged.

fun2bme - weight loss tends to go in waves. When you have a big loss (like 4.5 lbs) your body kinda freaks out and wants to hang on to what it's got. Thats how we get plateaus. Stick to it. Be sure you're drinking all of your water and watching the salt intake...those can both make you hold on to weight. Keep us posted

Deb - Thanks for the confidence. I appreciate that. I'll celebrate my big ol' jeans and get excited to have the next size fall off too

Lizzie - Buckle in girl!! You're off to the races Enjoy this first week, don't stress it too much and you'll be fine. The first couple weeks are the hardest as you get used to the menu, but they're also fun cause you'll see some results.

Hi Lizzie! I started pre-conditioning on Monday and have my Introduction/Food Class tonight at MRC. I'm totally excited about this journey. I had lost 2 pounds on Wed. I have been very happy with my progress so far and don't feel like I want to cheat at all. I just have to keep it up for 24 weeks! No sweat, right? Such a short time to be at a weight I haven't seen in 18 years. We can all do it!
