  • I am enjoying the many new faces here on 3FC's. It's always nice to read your posts. Good luck to you all and you will find MRC works and it's quite easy to follow. Don't get discouraged because of the slowness of your weight loss, mine has been really slow after the 2nd month, but sometimes I feel the slower the better!!! YOu just have to adjust your mind around it, that's all.

I do miss some of the past posters here...come out, come out where ever you are: Lori, Noahsmama, Phit for Phat, Karen....oh there are so many more that I did not list who I miss....at least come on so I can wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
  • Quote: I did the same thing this weekend. It is hard to be with friends and eat "our food" when we are around our friends because we want to be "normal". I figure it still is a life style change to eat the MRC way 99% of the time and on those days when we "have" to cheat then I don't feel guilty because we are only human and we need to be with our friends without the pressure of how to eat. I do find myself eating less when I am with my friends.
I did the same thing.. I felt complete peer pressure to eat "real" food. I was thinking I did pretty good, but 1 afternoon off program, led to another meal off program.

Oh well, I'm back on program today. It's great to read that I'm not the only one who had a bad weekend food wise.
  • Uh-Oh!! I think I am finally hitting a plateau!! UGHHHH
I have been struggling with the same .5 lb to 1 lb for the last three weigh ins!!.
I wanted soooooo much to be able to sign the 40 and 50 lb boards by the end of this month. At the rate I'm going I'll be lucky if I get the 40 lb board!!!

    I'm so frustrated!!!
  • Ohhh!!! I forgot about the stawberry banana geletin...YUM! Thats really good as a hot drink too. I'm gonna have to get that next week. I used to make other HNS's into jello with knox geletin too...they used to tell me that it was ok to do, I'm wondering if it still is...hmm.

I had my WI today. Had a hard weekend. Missed drinks, late meals, had a cookie (gasp!)...still lost 3lbs. Must not have been as bad as I thought I was. Here I was stressin about not having a good loss and it was just fine. I'll take a 3lb week any time!

I've got my birthday later this week. Was hoping to maybe hit the 30lb board by then, but thats not happening. Thats alright. It can be my Christmas gift to myself. By my next birthday I'd love to have my weight under control...and if not at goal, then close to it.

Hope everyone's ready for a good week.
  • Trying to stay positive. I fall off program for one split second and feel as if I failed and just want to give up. When I don't see the scale move is when I get discouraged. I have a Christmas Party at work this Saturday that I so don't want to go to because it is going to be tough and I have NO will power. I keep telling myself...you can do this. I hope I can!
  • Does anyone know if the Fruit Fulfill drinks are available on Diet Direct in ANOTHER flavor besides the Wild Berry? That is the only flavor my center has, and I couldn't stand the taste. I would like to be able to get in an extra Fruit fulfill drink after I've exhausted my +2 HNS on some days. Thanks
  • I also had a crummy weekend food wise.. Like another poster said, late meals, no HNS, just wasn't working out.. I was busy doing Xmas stuff all weekend so I wasn't home alot so things didn't go well and resulted in a 1.5 gain! EEk.. I will be glad when I get to goal so I can hopefully do something right..

Fifties Lady...just been lurking and not posting...glad you are hanging in there...I have suffered a terrible shin splint, might be a stress fracture from running....UGH!!! So for now waiting on test results to see if it is caused by too little calcium or lack of absorption, haven't ran in 2 weeks and MISSING it so much....still maintaining my 60lb loss and hoping to get the last 15 off after the new year...hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year!

  • Quote: Good Morning all! I hope everyone is having a great week! I'm heading into the home stretch for a 2 week vacation starting Saturday and am starting to feel like the kids in school - countdown 3, 2, 1!! LOL

WI last night and lost another 2 lbs and she told me it was time for measurements (actually should have been last week) and found out I lost another 13 inches!!! Grand total for 5 weeks 17 lbs & 25.5 inches!! What a great feeling!!! I am definitely starting to notice the difference and actually bought a new pair of pants this weekend!

3 lbs to make my mini goal by Friday - any advice? I'm definitely going to make sure to stick to the plan to the letter these next few days and step up my exercise. I really want to sign the 20 lb board before I leave.
YOU GO GIRL!! WOW!! Way to go - 25.5 inches WHOOT WHOOT! I say keep doing what your doing and have a WONDERFUL vacation!!

I say you can do it, you already are! Try to go in with a plan and stay focused. Best wishes & WP dust sent your way!!
  • Quote: CndLou .... I like your idea of cooking your way through the MRC cookbook -- I will await your "reviews" and try some. Thanks!!
Ok, so last night I took the night off (already?!?), I went to a musical (Little House on the Prairie starring, Melissa Gilbert). Girls night out - SO GOOD! I was surprised how much I liked it!! If they can sing, act, and dance as well as they do...well then, by golly, I CAN MAKE THE 20 LB. BOARD!!

I am planning to cook p. 66 - Chinese Chicken Salad tonight. I am taking in the Honey Mustard Crusted Chix leftover today for lunch. The best thing about cooking is having leftovers for lunch the next day, oh yeah! I have to go get some bamboo shoots (in the Asian cooking aisle, if that helps anyone) and I'm good to go. Have a good day MRCers!!
  • Thanks CndLou, the inch loss is sooo nice when the scale does not move but .5 to 1 lb. Plus it justifies the fact that I got to buy a new pair of jeans this weekend!! Love, love, love it!!!!!!! Sure does help with the motivation and will power to see the results!
  • OK...question. I made the Chicken/cranberry salad for lunch today. I took just a nibble to taste it and wow...strong vinegar flavor. Not sure I am going to like this but I am going to try it anyway. I did not add the chicken or apple yet...I am going to do this right before I eat it. Is that how everyone else does it? Another question, how long does the mayo from the recipe book last? I am just not sure how long it is good before it goes bad with the egg in it. Just wondering!

LaRee....Hmmm...not sure about the vinegar taste you are getting...maybe it is just the tartness of the cranberries? I know you can add two pkgs. of the Spendid if you want it to be sweeter...I guess it depends on what kind of apples you use. Remember to add the Spendid and the lemon juice to the mayo then stir it into the salad mixture. Sometimes I put in an extra spoon of the mayo if it seems too dry. We were told in our cooking class, that the mayo can be kept up to about 2 weeks....since the egg could get bad in the mixture. I know it makes way too much if it only keeps for 2 weeks. I was thinking about trying to make half of it the next time. I wonder if you can freeze it? Just a thought.
