LaRee,
Great Job. Your are doing great. I think we both go to the same center and I always feels on top of the world after my WI's with them. No matter which way the scale moves I am always motivated by them.

Nabell,
I am truly enjoying the drivers's license stories. Nabeel, so glad to hear you got yours returned. There are so many good people out there. I hope you received my response I am never quite sure if I get things sent properly.

All,
I realized a couple of things today
1. When I started MRC I hated and I mean hated preparing all my meals. Would almost cry because I so wanted to just grab something quick, pb sandwich, chips etc to eat. Today when I was cutting up alot of veggies my husband said he was sorry I had to spend so much time getting my meals ready and that he should help me prepare them more. I said I enjoyed the time in the kitchen preparing my meals. OMGosh I couldn't believe those words came out of my mouth. Fact is I really do enjoy it now.

2. I realized I am was true MRCer when I asked for a digital scale to weigh my food on....and I am really excited about getting one! Will be much better then the one I have now.

Started MRC 5/9/09

I am on a roll this week with good stuff

Here is a little something which i wanted to share.

It was a snowy night in Omaha, i didnt feel like going to the gym, so i gave myself a night off. Still i had to go and get some air in my car tires as the light was coming on and had to return something to blockbuster. Did all that and then i stopped at walmart to buy Benefiber. At that moment a naughty thought came in my head, which said:

“hey you bought 3 xl t-shirts here last week and they looked kinda big on you, you need a sweatshirt, because you were looking ridiculous today at work with your 4 xl one, go buy one”

So i went to the men’s section, saw a couple sweatshirts and for some reason i bought a 2XL one thinking to myself, nehh.. if it doesn’t fit, it will fit next month, what the heck, give it a try…

So i bought it, came home, tried it on and it fits P E R F E C T

Now that got me thinking, 3 weeks ago i bought a size 46 jeans thats becoming a bit loose now… should i be REALLY naughty and go and try a 44 tomorrow?… hmm i dont know if ought to be pushing my luck… i guess i will sleep over it

Nabeel....I noticed you are taking benefiber. Is this helping you. I don't think I am getting enough fibre in my diet so I am not sure what to do about it. I don't like how most of the fibre drinks taste so I am not sure what to do???

Rip - you'll wonder how you ever lived without a digital scale...it's AWESOME! I highly recommend the cost (mine was around $30) to anyone that doesn't already have one. I told hubby when we bought it...which was my first time around on MRC, that I already pay so much for MRC is another $30 really a big deal... He did not like that logic...hehe. Seriously though, best thing I use in my kitchen.

Nabeel - I'll NEVER forget the feeling of buying smaller clothes. Thats awesome. Congrats!

Speaking of smaller clothes...I figured out last night that I can take my jeans off without unbuttoning them I'm not quite small enough to get into the next size smaller, which I already own, but I'm totally ready for it. My Moms group at church is having a bake sale this weekend, so I've been baking and baking and baking all week and last night we packaged stuff for the sale and everyone was nibbling this and that. I am very proud to say that other than 1 little swipe of the lemon cookie dough, i have eaten none of it. And sweets are a MEGA weekness for me. The girls last night noticed me not eating and told me that they could see the difference. They're proud of me and way encouraging. Love my girls!

CndLou - to send a private message, scroll to the top of the page, look on the right hand side under your name, you should see 'private message' there. Click on it. Then once that page opens, look on the left hand side for a 'send private message' link. It'll be about half way down. Click that and then it should be like sending an email. Put my screen name in and send it to me. Thanks for understanding not wanting to publicly post the menu.

Or just click on the ID name of the person you want to PM to and a drop down list will appear and just click on PM.

Thank you so much for posting your stories about clothing, what a great motivator! I had a similar thing this week, a blouse that I couldn't button when I started MRC in October now buttons! I'm still not going to wear it in public yet because I'm afraid it will look "gappy" between the buttons, but it is definitely nearly there!

And thank you too for the DietDirect tips, I ordered a bunch of the protein drinks (and had them sent direct to my relatives' house where I will be staying for the holidays!)

Here's hoping I can sign the 30 pound board on my next weigh in!

I sent in my order today also, and saved lots of $$$$. Not sure how my center is going to like it, but hey...."a sale is a sale"! Thank you everone who brought this to our attention and also thank you for the xmas15 coupon code...I didn't find it anywhere mentioned on their site...but I got $15 off my order...I so appreciate that.

Everyone have an OP weekend and keep warm if you are in the cold states. Oh...and "Go Huskers"!!!

Laree, its helping me alot. I am 'regular' and ever since i started taking that i have been averaging of about 3.5 lbs a week. MRC menus are great on protein en low on carb, but just like protein is the good stuff, Fiber is the other good stuff that our body can never have too much off. Evrey person should be having 30 to 35 grams of fiber a day, and in reality we all average close to 7 to 9.

I dump the benefiber in my HNS and drink it. In addition to this i am also having Fiberone 50 calories 3 times a day, usually with my snacks and one after my evening meal. This way i know i am getting atleast 30 grams of fiber in. The thing with fiber is, it does nothing else then binding with water in your body and then gather all the 'bad' stuff and make it flush out. Basically if you dont take care of the fiber and are feeding your body very low carbs, it gets clogged, Fiber is the KEY, which MRC is missing from its program.
Forgot to mention, with my daily fruit serving i try to go for a high fiber fruit like apple, rasberries or any of the other berries as well.

I tried having this conversation with my MRC center and they just looked at me cross eyed. So i didnt tell them and started adding fiber to my menu myself and you know what it works.

I highly recommend it!
