Default Bummed out now

So... I have been sticking to the plan 100%, drinking all of the water, doing exactly what I am suppose to and I ended up gaining 1.0-1.5 (the scale keep bouncing back and forth) since Monday. They tried to encourage me and say that this was completely normal; that the fat leaves the cells and is replaced by water so the cell doesn't collapse...and that the water weighs more than the fat...and so on and so forth. I didn't let it bug me too much at the time but now I am feeling kinda grouchy about it. Anyone else have this problem??? Booooo on weight gain for no specific reason Hopefully it'll go somewhere else come Monday at my next weigh-in.

I can't wait to see the newsletter... I didn't receive it this time so I'll try the website... Weddings are fun and stressful all at once, hopefully everything is lining up 4 you... I can hardly believe you have a daughter old enough to be getting married, your pic certainly doesn't reflect that!! Have a great night

Plateaus really suck! I'm so sorry for you, but this is about the time that all of us have gone thru this!!! Did your center give you a paper on why plateaus are good? Ask for it! You need to know that this is a great time in this process.

To anyone else that commented on my avatar....thank you. The last photo was taken at 161 and I felt really good. This time....I feel good but I cannot wait to be just a bit smaller and a bit healthier so that I can say I finished!

I also started the C25K program again. I can't believe how much easier it os this time around. Hrm, wonder if it's the extra 3o lbs I've lost since then? lol We'll see if I'm able to continue it.

Hope everyone has a great day!! TGIF!!!!

What is the C25K program? I have hit a plateau lasting 2 weeks. Grrrr.....
Maybe this is something for me to try. I'm not sure how all pregrams differ
state to state. I.ve been OP since mid november but this is the worst plateau yet.

Hi all! Well I wonder if I have hit a plateau as well. I keep weighing 192.4 all week at home. I go to WI tomorrow so I was hoping to have another loss. I have been OP since 8-1-09(including preconditioning). But, all of us will keep pushing through and succeed!

Hope everyone has a great OP weekend.

it's a running program that gradually gets you from the couch to being able to run a 5k (about 3.1 miles) or more! it's nice because the steps are really gradual so it's not a huge shock to your body or way too much effort all of a sudden.

unfortunately, i've never been able to complete it because i have an issue with my feet going numb about a half-mile into my run. very discouraging

Hey everyone,
I WI yesterday and was down 2.5lbs. I finally got to sign that 20 lbs board. I was happy about the weight lose, but at the same time I was a little upset. I think the reason why I lost 2.5 lbs was because I haven'y worked out since last week Monday and I want to work out more but it seems to me I get stuck when I do workout. So what I was thinking about doing was just not working out until I get to my goal weight. Please inform me of what you think about this decision.

I download the podcasts by Robert Ulrey and they're great because they actually tell you when to run/walk and it's only 30-35 minutes and designed to be done 3 times a week. Very doable. We'll see how I feel when I start running for longer intervals

Yeah for you!! I can totally understand and relate. I can only tell you from my personal experience about exercising. I've been fairly consistent with my exercising (walking 30 min/ 4-5 x's per week) and I have still lost. I've had two plateaus this month and still continued to exercise because I know I'm building muscle which is replacing my fat. It's hard to do when you're not losing, but I would personally still continue to exercise.

Noahsmama, congrats on breaking your plateau, every 1 pound adds up Good luck with the C25K, I remember when you began in the spring just around the same time I started, it does get easier the lighter you weigh, my knees and hips do not bother me at all as they did when I was weighing 30+ more pounds when I started the C25K. Best of luck!
