Well, maybe it's good my Dr. didn't say anything then...tee hee. I wasn't going to bring up MRC just in case he would have said I shouldn't be doing that...but he didn't...so I breathed a sigh of relief. I even took a cutout of the ingredients from one of the boxes and my menu...he just wasn't interested...but he was interested in talking to me about my past due colonoscopy that I have been putting off. So I guess I had better follow Dr's orders.
so did you ever tell us how the cholesterol turned out?? i had my appointment this morning and am happy to announce the my cholesterol is, AND I QUOTE, "looking very good now." all levels were in the healthiest ranges, right where they should be. yay!
i also asked to have some blood drawn to check my thyroid hormone levels. we'll see how that turns out in a day or two...

I need to change Drs...you already knew your results....I usually have to wait a day or 2....guess I will give them a call. They always check my thyroid, which last year he put me on Synthroid, which I absolutely hate taking. And I have heard, once your start, you can't stop...that I don't like at all. Oh, and I also get to schedule my first colonoscopy, which I am dreading...just wonderful. Thanks for asking...I will let you know when the results come in...I am really worried about all the eggs!!
Hi FiftiesLady,
Yes, I have been there. My husband even jokes that he can tell when I'm getting hungry because it gets even worse! I have noticed it improving a little bit over time, but it is definately not gone. I think some of mine comes from feeling deprived when I really want to eat something that is not op and I know I can't have it. I blame the diet for the mood swings, I'm sure they were there before but this diet really brings them out in me.
Thank you for validating my moods....my gosh....my husband is ready to move out...LOL. I think cause he gets to eat whatever he wants and it always smells so good....compared to lettuce!!!!
Fifties Lady,
You really do crack me up sometimes... I laughed out loud earlier in my office that I share with another person when I read your post about your Dr. not noticing the change in your weight and how you were hoping he would and then he seemed uninterested afterwards and you just wanted to kick him off his darn rolling stool... LOL, LOL, LOL, I was just picturing the whole scene in my mind and how it played out and it really gave me a big chuckle! F.L. I am a midlevel provider (Physician Assistant) so I have been on both sides of that desk, stool etc so I understand where you're coming from, some PCP's are just in too much of a hurry or distracted to notice the things that can be so important to their patients. I guess they forget that what we say is not always ignored, some of our patients really are listening and trying hard to comply with our recommendations. I hope I've always been mindful of this as a provider, especially during my time in primary care and hopefully never insulted anyone like that!! I work in surgery now so it's a whole other ballgame now... Anyways, hopefully you'll hear about your cholesterol #'s soon and they'll be great. In the meantime, keep up the great work!!!!!!
I can barely eat the Sara Lee lo-cal bread. Maybe because I am not a bread eater. I can handle the melba garlic rounds....I had that this morning with two boiled eggs...that wasn't too bad...maybe because I was starving by ten this morning since I had to fast until my Dr. appt. today. Now my meals are all screwed up. I am going out to meet a friend for dinner at Village Inn, so I looked and I can have several of their salads except have to remove some of the items on the salad....but this will be the first time I will try eating out...I hope I don't embarass my friend when I mix my HNS with a glass of water, and bring my own dressing...lol.
Speaking of my Dr. appt., which I am so excited to see what my cholesterol will be....I truly hope the eggs don't mess me up and put me over my normal 200, otherwise, I will have to switch to egg whites...which will be harder for me yet to get through breakfast. I was so disappointed that my Dr. didn't even notice my weight loss on my chart. The last time I was in he looked at my weight and said I needed to lose...not a word this time...wth???? I could of kicked him off his rolling stool. So, I mentioned to him that I had started MRC and he was not familiar with it, but he said if it is working then that was good....I wanted him so much to ask questions about MRC...but nada!!!! I guess I just wanted his opinion about the plan and the HNS's I am drinking, just to validate that this is a healthy way to lose weight....oh well....I guess that's what I get for going to a "male" doctor.
FiftiesLady - You crack me up! I had a similar experience yesterday when I went into the dr to have some blood drawn. I'm thinking to myself "I've lost 35 pounds since the last time she saw me, she's going to be so happy". I had to tell her about it, then she asked me " Are you trying to lose weight?" Seriously! - Considering that every time I had gone in the past, the pounds kept piling on and she would tell me that I'm in the obese range and should look to do something about it....what gives? HA!
I weighed in today and I'm down 36 pounds and 44 inches. What a good feeling!

Karen...stop it...you are giving me way too much credit.
But if ever I have to have surgery, and end up in your hospital under your care...even though I am knocked out...please make a comment on how good I look after joining MRC. I know you will.
I guess it's funny, because last year, he mentioned my weight and said I really need to be doing something about it....ok...I did Dr....duh!!!! But no...all I get is "it's time you have a colonoscopy"....Gee...what will it be next year??? I should tell him I have a problem having to go to the bathroom 20+ times a day and through the night...maybe he could insert a catheter then!!!

CONGRATULATIONS... 36 pounds and 44 inches...that is awesome! You are doing so very good. Time to get your tickler added and watch your progress!!!
Thank you my dear! I couldn't do any of this without the support of you wonderful people and with the support of my family. I'll work on getting my tracker on here. I don't know how to save it to make it stay on with every sign on I do.

Click on the "User CP" on the far left of the blue bar above. Then click on the Edit Signature - top option in the left side column. Follow the directions and be sure to click the SAVE button on the bottom when you are finished.
And may I add my congratulations to you too! You are doing wonderful!

Thanks! You will get there too. When do you go to the Lincoln office to weigh in and such? Maybe I'll see you there. Do you attend any classes?
re.
