If anyone has any suggestions on breakfast...I am all ears....(oh my....if that's true, I have some dang fat ears)
How about french toast Fifties Lady?
Here ya go:

1 piece of light bread
1 egg
cinnamon
sugar free/fat free/calorie free waldens farm syrup

Whisk one egg in a bowl. Add 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and whisk again. Place bread in egg mixture, turn after 1 minute, allow bread to absorb as much egg mixture as possible. Spray skillet with Pam butter spray and place over med-high heat. Slide bread into pan and sprinkle with additional cinnamon if desired. Cook on each side until deep golden brown or to personal preference. Serve with 1 tsp or 2 of SF/FF/CF syrup. Yummo! I eat a scrambled or boiled egg with this to get full protein serving.

How about some amazing cheesecake? Recipe should be posted in the Recipes section, if not let me know I'll be glad to add it :0)

Do you have the recipe book? If not, I can post some recipes from it for you.

Karen...now you are talking girl!!! I could go for that....I will go out tomorrow and get the syrup....not sure if it is allowed on my plan yet or not. I do have the cookbook, and I'm going to sit down tomorrow and do some creative menu planning...I can't go another week like this, because it is so boring and not delicious at all. How do I find out if the syrup is on my plan? Thanks for your help.

That's a tricky one... every center is different it seems... my center is ok with it just limiting it to no more than 2 tsp per meal of any type of walden farm FF/CF/Carb Free product including dressings etc. I've seen a few mention their centers do not recommend it while others actually use WF products in their cooking classes so who knows for sure. I started on the beige menu so once I got past preconditioning, I started using the WF products. Honestly though, I have purchased them all and the only one I actually like is the syrup. It really fills that void :0)

OK, so I've been talking about posting a pic to show how far I've come... I got brave and looked back at some old pics tonight, boy, I really didn't realize how much I have changed with 50 lbs gone. The pic with the horse was taken late last year before starting the program, my daughter is on the horse. The 3rd image is the new one.

Welcome. So glad you found us! Yes the veggies will be your friend or enemy. depends on how you view it. My favorite receipe for them are the basil tomato salad, try it when you can have tomatos. Not sure if it in the cookbook but will post it on the receipe thread.

I don't remember what color menu you're on yet but here's one suggestion that I'm not sure if you've tried yet: "fry" your egg in Pam in a teflon pan, and then put it on your slice of bread with some of the cheese.

Thanks Lori and Jewliek :0) I know I still have a ways to go but I am still shocked when I see my old pic next to the new one. I think I need to create a quick link to this page so I can look at it daily to remind me again this is working and I need to stick with it.. good motivation to look at those old pics! I would love to try the Tomato Basil salad recipe too so thanks for sharing...

-Have you ever seen a recipe for MRC friendly zucchini bread? I'm really craving it and was thinking of using the Banana brd recipe and adjusting it to accommodate a zucchini bread and ofcourse that led me to think you might have a recipe for it! Just wondering, in the meantime I might experiment a little, he he.. we'll see how that goes... Thanks
