I did well staying OP over the weekend. Plan to WI tonight.

Karen, let me add to others' comments on how fabulous you look. I haven't had a full body picture taken of me in years so I won't have any to compare to.

Goose, sometimes we self-sabotage for different reasons. Myself, I think I get overconfident on this diet and allow myself a monthly cheat. All it really does is stall me. Sometimes, though, eating something different feels so good.

tpomeroy, I find as I lose weight and look better, I'm looking around at forbidden foods more. I bought a new food journal and have been reading different low carb books or inspiration. I'm also eating more basics- just grilled chicken and salads instead of recipes (I'm a horrible cook anyway). I also got my hair done which always makes me feel better.

I guess look for any tricks or inspiration or just keep plugging away until inspiration strikes. I'm at the halfway mark too and now I can see the end in sight. I also keep busy and try to remember the mantra "Eat to live, don't live to eat".

Good luck.

love, I'm not a water drinker either. I add the fiber to my drink and use crystal light to make it taste better. I also buy a huge bottle of water and make sure I finish it by a certain time. Now it's become a habit.

The pic with the horse was taken late last year before starting the program, my daughter is on the horse. The 3rd image is the new one.
Wow you look awesome.

Went to WI this morning... down one pound since Thursday. I think my steady and consistent loss is what's keeping "them" from throwing more pills at me. I just ran out of my first bottle of cortitrim but I don't think I want to buy another one just yet.... I'm thinking about seeing what happens (or doesn't happen) without them for a week.

So far so good it seems, even though things seemed to slow down some, I've lost my first 10 ! But it wasn't til after I left that I realized that I didn't get to sign the wall. Oh well, maybe next WI.

Happy OP week to everyone!

Default Veggie Pizza

Okay...a couple of you mentioned the recipe for veggie pizza found in the MRC cookbook...I have looked all through the book and can not find it...It is quite possible I have an older addition, 2004? Please post the recipe if you don't mind. THANKS!

Ok, just got back from WI and I'm down 3.5! But, I am not in Ketosis, because I ate the two bites of my son's b-day cake yesterday. At least I did not gain, it was just so hard to tell my 4 year old no. Anyway, I am back OP and ready to go for the week. I'm still counting on a loss, figure I will be back in ketosis by Thursday, so I will go WI again Saturday. Hope u all have a great week.

Nice job, Imickley!

I just woke up ten minutes ago from my nap and missed my WI! Guess I'll go first thing in the morning.

Just got back from WI - down 5 pounds!

Moved to the yellow menu. Wow, even more strict than the pre-conditioning menu! But I was able to buy some HNS to help.

Way to go on the loss! Yes, the yellow and blue menus are very restrictive ( I almost loathe most raw veg unless they are covered in ranch). Just do the best you can with it and you will be on the green menu soon; although I kind of just skipped most of the yellow and blue and started the green myself. LOL

I'm supposed to get the blue menu on Friday at WI. Is it much better? Then I'm hoping I get the green menu on Monday when I go in for the class.

Congrats lmickley on your loss, 3.5 lbs!! I'm not sure what the yellow/blue menu really does for you any other than make you more grateful once you are on the green menu.. you know, "it could be worse" type of thinking right? You probably feel so much less restricted on green compared to Y/B! Anyways, congrats and keep us posted :0)

Thanks, karen! Yes, I am so glad to be on the green menu! I probably wont eat a raw veg for a while. LOL

I really thing that the Y/B menus just kind of give you a boost in weight loss.

On the blue menu:
Breakfast: egg or 1oz cheese, 1/2 small orange or 1/4 small cantaloupe or 1/2 grapfruit, then starch
Lunch: chicken, turkey ,fish and salad veg (beef once)
Dinner: chicken turkey, fish, cooked veg and starch (beef once)

Oh and you get to have creamies.

ooh it would be nice to have a little bit of fruit like that at breakfast, even if it was just half a grapefruit. oh well.

i forgot a protein for lunch today and went to the gas station right across the street. there is virtually nothing acceptable there! i ended up with a stick of beef jerky, although given the sodium, i'm guessing i'd have been better off with no protein at all.
