i for sure weigh in on saturday mornings following my usual cardio class at my gym (i go to five willows)--so around 9:30. i haven't taken any classes yet because the current session was full. have they posted sign-up info for the next session yet? i'd really like to take some classes, as i know i have some stuff to work through with emotional eating and whatnot.
i can't wait until the pounds really start to fall off, you guys. that first week when all that water weight melted off was SUCH an inspiration! now that i'm struggling through a plateau, i just have to keep thinking that my body can't hold on to this fat forever, right? GIVE IT UP, body!! :P

They just put up a sign up sheet for the new 7 week session. It's next to the WI room...better hurry because it fills up fast....Maybe you can call them and they will put your name on the sheet. It's worth a try. I am anxious for the classes, because I too need to learn more about emotional eating...I know that has to be a big part of my problem.
hmm, crap. i wasn't planning on going back in until saturday morning. maybe i will give them a call? if i miss out, maybe we'll just have to start a thread about it and discuss what you learn--share your wisdom
Okay, I've officially hit my first plateau. The scale hasn't moved much all week. I knew it was coming, but still doesn't make it any less frustrating. They said about a couple of weeks in that it would happen. *sigh*
I'm going on vacation at the end of next week and wanted to hit a certain goal. Maybe I'll still get there.
i think we should all set mini goals for the month of september. wouldn't that be a good motivator? i've always thought small, easily attainable goals were easier to manage than big overarching ones.

I think this is a great idea! I just don't want to set an unattainable goal, I might talk to the girls at the center before I set a goal.

I weighed in today and I'm down 36 pounds and 44 inches. What a good feeling!
OMG that is crazy! I cannot wait until they do my measurements, i can tell i have lost I just don't know how much
yeah, i'm not even sure what kind of a goal is feasible for a month. I think probably i will just shoot for another 10 pounds...? i'd love love LOVE to be in the upper 170s by the end of september, how awesome!! my home scale said 188 this morning, so maybe it's doable...

I used to weigh myself like everyday, but it always varied from what the scale at the center said so I have just stopped weighing myself on my own, I'm set to WI tomorrow, I’m nervous, I haven’t been 100% OP I had my fun now its time to get back on track! I would love to be at 180 by the end of September...don't know if that will happen or not yet.

I think setting a mini goal would be a great thing for those of us that are struggling to be committed to staying OP. Maybe we should have a thread for a 10 pound club for the month of Sept. That way we can encourage each other and see what kind of results we can all get...I would be willing to try!

LOL, alright one final comment on all this and I'm done with the whole why your Dr. says what they do stuff... Unintentional weight loss is a scary sign to medical professionals, it concerns us for cancer so even though you may need to lose weight we worry when we hear about a quick weight drop and it is literally instinctual for us to ask "are you trying to lose weight". I ask this q of probably 5 people a day... ok, off my box of medical knowledge and back to 3FC Karen.
CONGRATS ON THE 36 LBS AND 44" ... THAT IS AWESOME!!
I went to WI today, down 1 lb since last WI when I was up 1 lb, OK, so I've broke even. Did Tanita and have last 8 lbs of fat since last Tanita, 2% of body fat, 61" total, muscle weight the same. Feels great! They wanted to discuss how it feels to be close to my goal my original goal was set at 172 but I informed them my new goal is 150 and I'm not ready to stop here... It sure was exciting to imagine being close to goal though. I haven't been very great OP lately - not big cheats, little things - cheese twice in a day, creamy on a day I had a MR Bar, small handful of peanuts at tonight Texas roadhouse, intermittent caffeine use, not enough water, not enough HNS' etc. etc ... Boy, all that really makes me sound very naughty! I think my goal for September that I am going to start today is to recommitt myself to being completely OP until we go on our weekend mountain trip in mid October where I'm running my first 5k. I really owe it to myself to try a little harder than I've been recently. I've gotta quit dragging this thing out and push a little harder. I want to reach my goal weight by the end of this year and it is more likely to happen by then if I stay 100% OP so I've just gotta change things. Well, that's it, I've made up my mind - 100% OP from here on out, keep up the great work everyone!!
I know you are supposed to eat all the food on your plan, I forgot to eat my fruit at lunch, so should I eat it for supper or skip it? Not sure what is the best....

No, it's a lost cause now.... BEst thing to do is to try again tomorrow. I've had this several times and the advice the center has given me is to skip it.
lookinfine..great job!! I bet you look amazing. Maybe one day you'll be brave and post a pic
Loveamy, i wouldn't eat it at dinner, but that's just me.
Karen..what can I say but awesome job and a BIG congratulations!! You're doing phenomenal. I hope I start showing some results like you soon. I'm due to get measured on saturday and I just hope there's some movement! I found out there's a running store here in my town..I'm scared to go in there because of $$$. I did buy a pair of Asics today ($112 argh). But they felt amazing in the store. I guess what could it hurt to go to the specialty store...except spending $$. Again, congrats and you deserve it!!
Fiftieslady, man you should take your show on the road woman. You're hillarious!! I jsut love readng your posts!
