Hi, nice sunny day here. cold nite it had a heavy frost... had to cover the tomatoe plants..
BREAKFAST...... toast, bacon and milk, banana

Hope you guys had a good weekend. My eating was sort of ok. I thought I had gained 2 more lbs., but got on the scale again this morning, and they're gone. It must have been water weight.

LaDean, I like the dietalk site. Thank you for your PM over there. How did you know that was me on the dietalk site? I'm glad you figured it out. How is Tuffy? Lacee is doing fine.

Goodmorning,

I had a great weekend. I actually joined Jenny Craig this weekend. I just can't take the yo-yoing to nowhere anymore. I need to see results and I just keep playing around so I joined. I join the package "loose 20# for $20". That's only half the weight I need to loose but it's worth it for now.

I ate well all last week except for Sunday where I had like 3 donuts thoughtout the day.

Aleka- Are you starting a modified Atkins program today? I found some fudgecicles but they are not Hoods though. They'll do the trick. lol

LaDean- How is WW coming along?

Angry doing ok

Hi, I am doing good with the pts. trying to watch the starches like potatoes and bread to and of course the sweets.

KIT, So with the program you started is the food extra with that price and all??? we do not have it close here but i have heard good of it. glad you finally decided on a plan you will do good on it. Know what you mean just trying them all gets disgusting and which way to turn sometimes. they make them all sound so good. GOOD LUCK.....

ALEKA, I looked for your name here then i saw that and clicked on it and went to your profile and then knew it was you... glad you came over i like that one you responded on to. it makes alot of sense to me.. i think we each have to find what helps us then i combine several and go from there. but i liked that board. had not gone to it.. I have my own exercise page and all in there. i go in same name as here.. i do it daily and i respond to the tops one and several there. so are you going on the atkins plan??? hope you do well. i am doing it some... if i get hungry going for protein or cheese or something in that line.. trying to not think of eating and staying more busy... if i am in here responding to the boards its great i am not eating.ha ha ha tuffy is fine., well he has some days has harder day with his back end and lefted leg dragging it. tires out alot with it and just has to sit down. sad but we have him and i am so thankful for prayers answered. I am also doing a bible study with my losing and it helps me. tuffy says hi..

BREAKFAST..... Oatmeal. milk,
LUNCH.... chunk of cheese
DINNER..... ?
I did walk this am so that was a plus.ha Have a good day the both of you.... your doing good proud of you... Hey for the losses,,,, my scales were down 1 1/2 this am i was a happy trooper.lol we can and we will do it.. we will find our plan and we will stick to it....... Hi all,

I'm loving this program, I think this can actually get me to my goal weight without feeling hungry and deprived.

LaDean- the food is extra, I pay for it each week at my weigh-in. The food is delicious actually. I'm just so tired of trying this and that and going no where! I'm glad WW is working for you.

Aleka- How are you doing w/ the eating?

Menu 5/19
Breakfast- 2oz cereal, 1/2c SF grapefuit juice, 2 egg whites
Snack-apple
Lunch- Chicken & Broccoli stuffed sandwich, 1/2c SF jello, diet soda
Snack-yogurt
Dinner-chicken & fettuccini, diet soda, 1c green beans
snack- small chocolate cake

Kathy, that's fantastic you are so enthused about Jenny Craig. You definitely will reach your goal. The foods that you are eating sound great. How long do you eat their food before you can start shopping for yourself? Do you pick and chose what you want to eat, or do they do it for you? I have seen their commercials and I've always wondered what they were all about. Sorry for all the questions. I've gone into the dietalk site that LaDean posted and I'm on a forum of people trying the "no diet" approach, where you just watch portions, try to eat healthy, and exercise. I'm going to try to do that for awhile because I am tired of "being on a diet" and counting things. I am just going to go light on the carbs, eating my 1 carb meal a day on most days. I wish you the best of luck with Jenny Craig.

LaDean, glad that WW is working for you. Have you tried that Christian Diet program, Weigh Down? I think there is a book on that diet.

5/19:
B: shredded wheat 'n' bran, blueberries, strawberries, skim milk, black coffee
Snack: plain yogurt w/imitation coconut flavoring, splenda, and blueberries
L: (out with a friend) turkey sandwich on rye bread, cole slaw, black decaf coffee, ice water
D: wheat pasta, 4 turkey meatballs, sauce, black iced coffee
S: 1/16 of a pie made with s/f cherry jello, s/f vanilla pudding, lite cream cheese, in a chocolate ready made graham cracker crust

KIT, So very happy the program is one you like. i know you will reach goal on it. so happy you went to it and like it... i have heard alot about it. My neighbor had the whole program at her garage sale last summer and i was going to get it and never. i have so many videos and all. your food sounds good. good luck to you.. go for that GOAL GAL... you can do it.

ALEKA, yes i am like you i went to that board you started and read some on it. sounds neat. so i am doing that for awhile now. counting the pts still but eating what i really want. going off sugar and all still. but the pts are easier then the counting cal for me.ha i change off and on and does not get boaring.. I had my walk this am. i sure feel crapy.haha these allergies never had this before a first. but can still do and so i will live with it. not letting it keep me from walking and all. sunshine is out today as was yesterday. hubby is out plowing up the garden again in my spot for flowers. so this evening we will get some in... frost 2 nites but covered the tomatoes so never got them. so happy about that. it hit some of my dalias but not to bad they will come out of it i am sure. sure got lots coming up. all red ones. got a few colored ones. i am getting laundry done today. like to hang things outside.. so fresh...

BREAKFAST..... omlette, milk
Lunch......
Dinner/......

points were in range yesterday trying for lower end of them.ha Have a good day the both of you. LaDean

Kathy, how is your Jenny Craig coming along? Is it as miserable weatherwise where you are as it is here?

LaDean, I love hanging clothes outside to dry. But, we put feeders out for the birds and the clothes are in their fly zone. There were many times I had to rewash the sheets! So, needless to say I don't do that anymore. How is your eating going?

menu 5/21

D: spaghetti, 2 turkey meatballs, 1 light beer

aleka, hope the weather starts getting better there. it sure is here. so nice and warm. to warm for me just do not take the heat. had a nice walk this am. was getting warm when i finished. but allergies better so that helped. I am having a good day and hope yours and Kits is also...
breakfast..... scramble eggs and toast... milk so far so good. scales are down 1 1/2 so its watch today as weigh tomorrow morning. so i am a happy one got to have a loss.ha LaDean

Hi all,

I love this diet. I'm so thankful to have my carbs back!

Aleka- I don't get to pick my foods until week 3. They pick the menu for me so I can taste all their foods. So far everything i've tasted I've loved. I'm so sick of being on a diet as well and having to watch pts, carbs, etc. It's so nice not to have to think about anything for a while.

LaDean-What is diettalk all about? Just people talking about diets? How is WW coming along?

Menu 5/21
Breakfast- 2oz cereal, 1/2c SF grapefuit juice
Snack-2 WASA crackers, 2 slice Kraft 2% cheese
Lunch- Bean and ham soup, diet soda
Snack-skipped snack
Dinner-turkey, garlic mash potatos, green beans

I am doing ok. get tired of all the counting also. so mainly just eating what i want and trying to stay within the pts for me. so far its going good. i get bored with cal so count pts. it helps me to keep a eating journal.. i do not mind it.. i had no lunch today and no dinner tonite. just drinking some juice. tops in the am and i want these scales to stay down. sides that i am not even hungry. ate a filling breakfast cause knew i was going to do this today... Hey Kit glad its working for you. my friend liked it.. i am so happy you found something you like.
Yes diettalk is like this message boards and all. i like the different ones. It has the No diet approach and I am trying to think in this order. its helping me. i just add pts to what i eat. not paying so much attention. just eating what i should.

Kathy, that is fantastic that you like Jenny Craig so much. When is your weigh in? Let us know how you do. Well....I got on the scale this morning and I gained 2 lb. I don't think the "no-diet" way is going to work that well. I have some rethinking to do.

LaDean, how did your weigh in go at TOPS? Lacee says WOOF to Tuffy.

Angry hot today

Aleka, i lost 1 lb today at tops. so i was a happy one. 2 weeks without a gain now. so that is good for me... i am seeing if i can go now and not gain. got up to 10 weeks before and no gains. so giving it a try again...

so it was a good week. I am trying to stay at lower end more this week... I never got walk in so going to try and do ex bike for today. is cool in here and quite hot outdoors. i jsut do not take to the heat. tuffy says woof to lacee
So the no diet approach is not doing its thing. i am wondering about it to. i looked into the eating plan now of the body for life and it might be ok. have you looked at it... www.ivillage.com has the plan interesting... its 6 small meals a day... checking it out..
What i do is take several plans i like and make one for me... so maybe do that and it will help. not as much to remember and all. i just keep a journal for tops. we pay or keep one. so helps me to do it. i tryed going to the sites to do it and its easier to do from labels and then accurate i think... good luck in finding what you want. sometimes just need a rest looking for one to. ha

Kit, so happy your happy with yours. and that its working for you. Yes be sure and let us know what you do on it...
