Anyone expereince these issues?

Also, how much water do you drink?

Your headache is completely normal in the first 3-4 days. Be sure to drink 64oz of water (8 tall glasses).

But I've taken a bottle or two of ICE with me to very party and kept my glass filled, I don't feel that I'm missing a thing, except maybe a headache the morning after! Nobody seems to really notice either that I'm not drinking - the Crisp Apple flavor looks like a Chardonnay and is really yummy as the weather gets cooler. And the Blackberry flavor looks like a Rose and it's also tastes pretty good. I rarely drink diet soda, so I really enjoy the ICE's as a special treat at parties.

What are ICEs? What am I missing???? Please share..

It wasn't until my coach pointed out that I'd been losing 1/2 pound a day - that it clicked for me. My sis, who's lost about 40 lbs since June on IP, shared that she also started out slow, but now the weight is coming off faster.
This week I don't feel like I'm losing anything though (I refuse to weigh myself at home- I will not drive my self nuts with that daily up'n'down madness again). I'm also not all that hungry. I'm finding that I no longer need the salads to feel full. In fact, sometimes I have a hard time finishing my 2 cups of veggies. I do hope it's the ketosis and that my weigh-in on Thursday will show that I'm still on track. Hang in there everybody - we can do this!

Vine - my second weigh in is on Thursday and I noticed you and I are targeting to lose about the same amount! i am feeling the same way...i struggle getting the veggies in...in fact yesterday was so crazy I skipped the veggies at lunch and grabbed a shake. I didnt feel hungry at all....but I am also feeling like this second week is not shedding anything....and I also am not getting on my home scale...i am wondering if occasionally skipping the lunch time veggies will have a negative impact. I certainly dont want my body to go into starvation mode!

Day 3

End of day 3 - I did not feel as tired today and the drinks tasted nice which is so wierd as the first day I thought how am I going to do this as it took me all day to get one drink in!

I am doing ideal plan with alternatives - purely financial reason. I attended the meeting and then did some research. I am using costco premier nutrition. I like the fact that I can just through a couple in my bag for breakfast and lunch.

I had a baby at 40 plus I have 2 other children and a full time job so I needed something easy to follow. I'm so hopeful I want to be slim.
Thanks for listening.

Oh by the way I have had headaches and have felt sick too I feel like it's passing though

Thanks docsaver - the first day was so hard but I'm now ticking along. Start weight was actually 203.50 and I really want to get to 160 so I guess I have 43.5 to lose.lol

Selly, I get nauseous when ketosis kicks in. It lasts only a day for me.

For the people having trouble getting their veggies in, try turnip fries. OMG they are so good I have them at least once a day, sometimes twice. When I have them with my "big Mac in a bowl" it kinda feels like I'm eating fast food but I'm on program. Great "cheat" meals that aren't cheating.

Day 2...eeeek....and Yay!

I'm on day 2 and feeling pretty motivated...Thanks to all these posts!

I was given a sampler of the foods with my first weigh in and am finding the taste of the artificial sweetener in the drinks pretty gross. I realize these drinks are easy and can help me stay on track. Any suggestions on what to add to cut down on the taste? Are there some you've tried where the taste of the sweetener isn't as obvious?

Love the fun with veggie purees thread! Definitely made the soups more palatable!

I am restarting IP... I can't help to think of where I would be by now if I hadn't fallen off the IP wagon.... So back at it again! I had tremendous results the first time!

Hope we can inspire, and support each other!

I am right there with you! Let's do this! :carrot:

I would love to see a 20 by thanksgiving challenge started! Any techies know to start a google doc for that? I think it would be fun!

Thanks for the response on my headaches. I woke up today (day 3) with less of a headache - its getting duller so I guess i am on the right track!

And my naseau is only bothering me today if i go to long woth out eating or drinking anything. And by 2 long I mean like 1 hour. I am not hungry but feel like i have to contstantly have something in my stomach...

Is it ok to not have "meals" but the graize all day?

Day 2 too

Today is also day 2 for me. I started my TOM at the same time so it's really hard for me to tell what my true "feelings" are from IP or from just being a girl! I am really hungry in the mornings I've noticed, and I am NOT a morning person so I usually run out the door with 2 packets. Then I struggle to stretch the 3rd between the rest of the day. Today I cooked chicken and then added the chicken noodle soup packet and only ate half of it. I'm going to try eating the rest at dinner and maybe have a 4th packet. I read somewhere the first week you may need a 4th packet and it's okay. Yesterday I worked it with only 3 but ate about 4 grams more meat than we're supposed to.

Can't really figure out which is better for me to stay on plan but need something to make it through. I eat my veggies as a PM snack instead of at lunch.

Try drinking a glass of water with about 1/4 tsp of salt added to it. It clears up up any headaches I've had since I started IP. I wish I had known about saltwater decades ago, I would have saved tons of money on pain relievers!

I get them in the health food section of my supermarket, but you may also find the in the bottled soda section. They're called "Sparkling ICE". They come in tall, skinny,plastic,17 oz bottles. They're "naturally flavored sparkling mountain spring water" and come in numerous favors. They contain vitamins and antioxidants and no calories, no fat, no carbs. I've been able to buy them for $1 each at my grocery store. My coach says I can have one per day. My favorite flavors have been coconut-pineapple and crisp apple. I did take two to an Oktoberfest party last weekend, hey better ICE than wine!

I tried turnip fries the other night and wasn't impressed. They were limp and undercooked. Can you send a link to your recipe and any hints on size that you cut the fries or baking time? I'm willing to try them again if I can figure out what I did wrong.
