Hi. I'm brand new here...just found this site today. I started on Sept 15th and so far I've lost almost 20 lbs. I'm thrilled, but I also know I haven't stayed OP 100% like i should. I had a couple of weeks where I cheated here and there, which i know isn't good, but I'm committed to getting back on track and staying there. Already enjoying pants fitting looser, etc.

hi bmorelock! Welcome! Looks like we have similar stats...good luck with your journey!

Ridiculous as it sounds I'm scared to weigh myself

I didn't weigh myself last week as I'm scared that the scales won't have changed and I don't want to be demotivated. I know all my work clothes are starting to look to big as a couple of people have commented! How much do you have to lose to go down a size. I am currently wearing a 16 that's to big but don't think I a whole size smaller. I'm 5'3 with a large bone structure for example my feet are a 10!! Any thoughts gratefully received.

Oh and welcome to the newbies sounds like you're doing great. I am doing alternatives as Ip in canada is really expensive where I am.

Thanks

Started Sept. 1 and have lost 40lbs. :) My weight loss has slowed down a bit but I'm still averaging 3 to 4 lbs lost each week.

This is 4th week (middle), and I lost only 12 lb, but lost some inches and 2 dress sizes. A little discouraged about the slow weight but 100% OP, even struggle with some 'hunger' sometimes.

I did my weigh-in on Thursday morning, and I am finally in the 170's! Of course, it's at the very TOP, but still - sooooooo happy! AND I was able to get into my size 14 jeans that do not have any stretch to them - this is totally happy dance time!

Here are this week's measurements:
weight: 179.4
Chest: 40.25
Waist: 37
Hip: 44.25
Arm: 11.5 (only measurement that has yet to change, but I'm ok with that!)
Thigh: 20.5

Seriously, the size 14 jeans are the coolest - and to think, I used to be depressed that I was having to buy size 14's! My hope is to eventually be in 8's, but even if that isn't possible, if I can get back into my RL size 10's (non-stretch), I will be really happy! :) :D

Terribly disappointed with week 4 - down .2 pounds. Assuming it is due to eating a piece of pie at Thanksgiving but I stayed in ketosis and was perfect the rest of the week and I'm bummed at how badly I did. Down 10.2 pounds in 4 weeks. I'm really hoping next week gets the scale moving again - my goal is 2.5 a week.

I know it seems disappointing to lose weight slowly, but please don't be disheartened!

Don't let one slip-up cause you to falter - so you slipped up - it's ok! Just keep focused on your goal. The weight will come off if you follow the diet as it is written. This may mean altering something you are doing or even something you are not doing - but 10.2 lbs in 4 weeks is pretty darn good!

Thanks - I didn't give up and actually lost another pound yesterday so things are looking up.

Lost 11.5 in 4 weeks. 2.5 this week also TOM (I think this is what I'm supposed to use!!)

Happy week plus I ate turkey lunch and pumpkin pie:)

Hi Masenki - my coach didn't help me determine my goal....i actually chose 125 because it's a number i have always wanted to achieve but have never been able to on my own or any other program...at this rate I believe IP can get me there. ThIs week will be interesting....my h.s. reunion was this past weekend so I did the best I could....no major cheats with carbs, but the meat served was in sauces, etc. did my best but we'll see the results on Thursday. What about you? How did you select your goal weight?

Same here - coach did help, but that was my weight prior to pregnancy, about 10 years ago :)). I'll see is this something I can do, but then will I be able to maintain this weight? I wish I discuss this my coach, but they are 'cashier-coach' - clueless, just one of us. They would need to help us understand what is achivable, and what is realistic to maintain.
