Hi to other September starters. I started my IP diet on Monday, Sept 2nd. I weighed in and got my starter kit on Friday, Aug 31 and I made sure to add a couple lbs in over the weekend (wink). I've got ALOT of weight to lose. On my first (after starting IP) WI - I lost 6.2 lbs and my second week I lost 7.2. I'm sure I lost more the second week since I added a couple lbs after my first WI. I'm currently unemployed and decided that it would be a great time to lose weight and become more healthy. It's much easier to do in an controlled environment - the four walls of my home. I'm single so also have no family influences. I have told several of my friends about my plan and they are all very supportive. Now with IP, I am looking forward to losing the weight and lowering my BP and my cholesterol. I'm glad to be a part of the September, 2013 team !!! Thanks for listening.
And I would also like a ticker. Where to go for that? |

If you don't mind me asking what happened to make you gain weight back? Were you eating unhealthy or did it just come back? |
Welcome everyone who is new! IP is amazing and I love the diet.
We have been slacking on posting on here. What's everyone been up to? Let's keep this thread going and keep eachother inspired! I am on day 15 today and yesterday was rough! Actually experienced real hunger and felt a bit grumpy as a result. I am 2lbs from goal...gonna keep it moving until I get there. Hopefully not longer than another week as I am trying to get back in phase 3 and into maintainence before the DH's bday 10/13/13. We will see. Colorado is in bad shape after the last week of storms but people are moving forward with cleanup and we have had two 80 degree days to allow the work. I know fall is right around the corner and I am looking forward to some cooler temps and chicken noodle soup which I saw a great recipe for yesterday on here. Delish! |
Hi, I'm coming to the party a bit late, first time posting here. I started IP on Sept 10, so today is day nine for me. First weigh-in showed I was down 5.8 pounds, I am thrilled. I'm finding it is very easy to stick to so far - the structured, strict approach is just what I need. I, too, have lots to lose so I expect you'll be 'seeing' me here for some time to come. I find these posts really motivating, let's keep helping each other as we go :)

Hi all
I started IP on Sept. 10, but this is my first time posting even though I have been a lurker for about the last week. The first week was really rough, but I lost 8 pounds so it feels like it is worth it so far. I have a significant amount of weight to lose so I will be around here for a while.
Do you think that we could ask for a dancing celery or cucumber instead of a dancing carrot (more in keeping with IP)? :carrot: I just had the lemon pudding and blech! It tastes like chemicals. At least my mushroom soup for lunch was good. Just saying hi to all, Skeet |
Welcome everyone new and hello to all of us olders September starters.
Yes, a dancing cucumber would be nice...or a brocolli, tomato, leek, etc. LOL. I hope everyone is having an excellent day today. I am on day 16 and staying strong despite feeling like I am a total grump lately. 2lbs to get to goal of 130 and I am itching to get to phase 3. Hopefully the scale moves in the next few days and I can move forward and call this mini-reboot a success! How is everyone else doing? Anyone starting to get the brisk fall morning and the changing of the leaves. I heard that its a full harvest moon and the bigger of the year. |
Anyone else having vivid dreams about eating off plan? I keep waking up freaking out that I cheated when I know I haven't...

Dreams
No dreams about eating off plan. I am still dreaming that I have to go back to high school because there was a mistake and I was one credit short, except that I can't find the high school, I forgot to show up to the classes and now there is a final, etc. Even 20 years and four degrees later I still have same high school dreams/nighmares.
I do have to walk very quickly when I pass the gourmet cheese section of Whole Foods while shopping to limit temptation. The IP foods do a good job of curbing my sweet tooth and my craving for salt and vinegar, but nothing can replace really good gourmet cheese for me. :D Fall is a good season in New England. I am looking forward to the leaves turning. It would have been sad to start IP in the spring or early summer when all kinds of wonderful fruit were in season. Now that most fruit (other than apples) are out of season, I can pretend like I am am choosing not to eat them because they are out of season. Skeet (Anita) p.s. Thanks for letting me know about the dancing broccoli. :broc: He is really cute. I hope that he doesn't realize I am planning on roasting him and his little friends with some nice garlic and olive oil tonight. |
