Sophie- I'm on C3 and have lost 25 lbs. Sometimes I just open a can of chicken broth and heat that and sip it for the feeling of chicken soup. I use Truvia in my lemon juice in the morning. Also in my oatmeal. Its good. I get it at Wal Mart in the sugar section. Thats neat you have a sister there to cook with. I'm also on the 17 DD board over at facebook. They've got a leader there that can answer any of your questions. Any help I can be I'm here....

Toni - I'll check at Wal Mart next time I'm in town. On Facebook, which group are you in? There's two big ones. One that has 30,000 people and one with 3,000 people. I didn't know there was that many people doing this diet. I'll start posting on there. Thanks!

I bought the book and work book last week and will be starting this Sun or Mon. I have a question on the yogurt- it says "any type" of yogurt. Is greek style with fruit in it acceptable or does it have to be with out sugar?

Any yogurt is fine as long as it has 9 grams of sugar or less.

Day Two on Cycle 1. I like the diet. I have planned my meals and take the food I need to work with me each day. I haven't weighed yet, but may in the morning. I have have followed the diet to a "t" and dont want to be discouraged if the scale doesnt move right away. Sometimes that can really sabatoage me.

New member here. My husband and I are both doing this program, which makes it immensely easier than trying it alone. In the first 17 days, I lost 12 pounds and he lost 16. We actually took off Thanksgiving and a couple days afterwards since he was out of town. I thought I'd die for a hamburger, but I found I didn't want one. Started on Monday again with the first cycle. Twenty six more pounds to go until I feel more like I used to.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the site. My husband and I are on day 3 of the 17 Day Diet. So far so good. I have lost a couple of pounds and the interesting thing is that I'm not nearly as hungry as I thought I would be. I do have a question: has anyone tried any protein drinks or powders that they like? My nephew is a personal trainer and he said that you need 25g or protein - no more because the body can't absorb it. So I tried a low cal protein shake from GNC that was okay but boy has it left me feeling gassy and bloated! Any thoughts?

I think everyone is different. I don't think one can say everyone needs x amount of anything. That being said, we start every single day with the yogurt and fruit (though we add 1 cup fat free skim milk) blended up. We mix the berries up every day. And I know the success of this particular diet is not changing the formula. You have to eat what he says when to obtain the maximum benefits.

From dietsinreview.com:

Created by Dr. Mike Moreno, The 17 Day Diet has been featured on The Doctors and the Dr. Phil Show.

The 17 Day Diet is a weight loss plan that was initially created to avoid the holiday weight gain. But the beauty about the diet is that it can be used at any time throughout the year to shed a few pounds.

Every 17 days you’re changing what you’re doing. "We call it metabolic, or body, confusion,” Dr. Mike explains.

Here are the four cycles of The 17 Day Diet:

•Cycle 1: Accelerate. Encourages rapid weight loss, cleansing and fat burning. Discourages fat storage.
•Cycle 2: Activate. Resets the metabolism.
•Cycle 3: Achieve. Develop good eating habits, re-teach yourself how to eat carbs.
•Cycle 4: Arrive. A combination of the first three Cycles. On weekends, enjoy your favorite foods.
The 17 Day Diet also features a 17-minute exercise routine you should do as well as tons of tips and strategies to avoid food pitfalls

I'm currently on Cycle 2 Day 11. I lost 9.6lbs in the first 17 days. I didn't lost much so far in cycle 2 but that's probably because I haven't been exercising like I should. I'm going to start it soon though. This is the best diet EVER! I'm currently at 162 lbs and my goal weight is 135 lbs.
