I haven't received my book yet but my cousin sent me the PDF file so I can start right away I read up to the end of cycle one. I'm going to start tomorrow. I started a word document with all the foods I'm allowed to eat. I'm starting tomorrow. I'll keep you guys updated. I'm really positive about this. I can really picture myself skinny in my head. Can't wait! I don't think I'm going to follow the menus and just follow the food list. I'm going to prepare my menus day by day though. Today, I'm going to prepare tomorrow's menu. I'll be doing 17 mins on my bike tomorrow morning and 17 mins walk after dinner. I'll be giving my start weight and measurements tomorrow. I'm also going to keep track of my fat percentage so I'll give that as well.

KatRustler - I think you buy it somewheres? Not sure.

I started this morning with 2 eggs (one white & one with yolk) and an apple. I tried to do hot water with Lemon juice (expired September!) and it was just nasty. I couldn't get myself to drink it. Maybe it's more the expiry date that turned me off... who knows. I'm going to try green tea tonight with my Dinner. I didn't have time to do it for breakfast and I didn't bring one to work with me for my lunch. I want to do the green tea at every meal though. I brought a yogurt with me for a snack. I have the Activia yogurt. Anyone know if that's ok for this diet? For lunch, I'm going to buy a chicken salad with a piece of fruit and tonight, I'm going to do some Salmon with some veggies. Not sure how I'm going to eat my salmon. I guess I'll just put it in a pan and add some spices to it.

A couple questions for you guys:
(Repeated from above) Would Activia be good on this diet?
Is Yogurt considered a Carb? I want to know because if it is, I'll make sure to eat it before 2PM. I eat lunch from 1-2.

I did my 17 minutes workout this morning. I did it on my stationary bike. Tonight, I'll either do that again or go walking outside. Depends on the weather and my mood. Here is my initial weigh in and fat percentage:

Starting Weight: 172.2 lbs
Starting Fat Percentage: 42.0 %

I bought some fresh berries & some plums today. I also bought more lemon juice (not expired!). I'm going to try the Salmon recipe that's in the book with Lemons. Sounds good to me So far so good. It's still 3:50PM so god only knows how tonight will go. Hopefully it won't be too painfull. I regret not buying more baby carrots...

Day 1 was a success!
So I ended up doing the salmon recipe in the book. It was good I didn't have Oregano spices so I added salmon spices instead. I had that with steamed baby carrots. I sprayed the carrots with spray butter. It was good and filling. Just before posting this, I had forgotten to do my afternoon 17 mins cardio, so I got up, did it and here I am now... pretty proud of myself on day 1. I'll be weighing in daily so stay tuned for tomorrow morning's weigh in.

puneri - Welcome back from vacation! Hope you had fun!

Day 2
Weight 171.0 lbs
Lost 1.2 lbs
Total Weight Loss 1.2 lbs

Pretty happy with the scale this morning. I'm TOM later this week so I don't know how that will go. Woke up this morning with one egg (with yolk) & one egg white along with some blueberries on the side and a yogurt. I forgot my tea this morning but I brought some tea with my lunch. I actually drank some yesterday and didn't mind it. I added a twin in it and it was actually drinkable lol! Did my 17 mins workout this morning on my bike. Hoping today is a success like yesterday. I'm pretty positive about it though so it should be a good day!

I'm SOOOOO hungry right now... I already had my snack at 10AM and it's 11:35AM & my next meal is at 1PM (that's 1.5 hours away!) I have some baby carrots, I think I may get that and munch on that before I get mega cranky. I'm drinking water but it's not helping much. The thing is though, I don't want carrots and that's the only thing I have as veggies. Maybe I'll just suck it up and wait. Hmmm..

Sophie- I like to make the chicken veggie soup in the book and have it on hand. Also ground turkey into taco meat and have it handy to. Also boiled eggs.

Thanks for the suggestions Toni I was planning on doing that soup either this Friday or this weekend. I never tried ground turkey before. Something to try out next time I go grocery shopping. My lunch is in 5 mins and I didn't eat anything yet. My hunger pangs are there no more. I guess I wasn't REALLY hungry after all. But I'm still hungry, I don't want to get to that state again today lol.

Cycle 1 - Day 3
Weight 170.0 lbs
Lost 1 lb
Total Weight Loss 2.2 lbs

Lost another pound today! YEEHA!
Last night, I ended up eating some leftover chicken and a can of beats. It was pretty good. A couple hours before going to bed though, I was STARVING! I didn't eat anything but I hope it gets better or I'll have to find a veggie I don't mind snacking on at night-time. I went to the grocery store to pick up a few items and found some Kefir milk! I didn't know they sold it there. There were two flavors, the original and strawberry. I took the regular but am going to try the strawberry next. I'm sipping on my smoothie now. It's pretty good! I added some splenda since it was SOOO sour! When I took a sip, I was expecting something sweet, was I ever wrong lol. Anyways, today my day should be: Snack-Strawberries Lunch-Chicken Salad Dinner-Turkey Burger (no bun) with steamed Broccoli, Cauliflower & Carrots.
Hope everyone is doing great!

Sophie- Hope you can find some veggies on the list you like. But I don't think beets are on cycle 1 lists. I looked this morning and couldn't find it there. Cook you some chicken breasts up and you can eat them anytime. On cycle 1 you can have unlimited protien off the approved list too. Are you having your two yogurts. I save one till evening for a snack. As long as its under 9 grams of sugar. You should never be hungry on cycle 1. Be sure you're eating enough or you won't lose as good.

Ah crap! When I went to the grocery store and saw them, I thought to myself, PERFECT! I didn't even think of checking if they were on the list. Crap! Ok, well, now I know. Heh
I've been eating two yogurts but today I had one cup of Kefir and one yogurt. I didn't know whether I could save my yogurt for the afternoon because I thought maybe it was considered a carb. I'll try to save one for the afternoon and see how that goes. I'm not one to much on chicken during the day. What I'm doing now is when I get hungry, I drink water and it usually calms my stomach down. I find myself eating plenty and losing pretty good. I used to eat a fibre 1 bar during my mid-morning snack and now I'm eating fruits which is less filling. Also, I need to find a veggie I enjoy as my afternoon snack. As of now, I don't have an afternoon snack. I go from 1:30PM-5:30/6PM without anything to eat. When I get home for dinner, I'm starving and could eat anything in sight.

Sophie- Wow you're going along time without food. Thats when that veggie chicken soup would be good, when you got home from work or a taco salad. It does get easier.... You're doing great....

I'm getting my stuff to do that soup tomorrow and we're trying a taco salad on Sunday, me and my sister They both sound like delicious recipes!
I can't believe it but I'm acutally REALLY loving my green tea. I try to make sure I have one at every meal now. I need to look for some Truvia. I'm currently using Twin and I'm scared it might be triggering my sugar cravings. I've been craving Reeses chocolate today... that and lipton noodle soup LOL! I've been craving that soup for days now for some reason. I had a good salad for lunch and I'm enjoying my tea now. It's 3:30 and I think my tea is keeping myself satisfied so I think that's going to be my new trick to satisfy me to my next meal.

Toni - Are you still doing the 17 Day Diet? I had started reading this thread but didn't have time to finish. How much weight did you lose so far?
