Just popping in. Sorry I don't have time to post replies. I weighed today and stayed the same. I was a little disappointed I didn't lose but will have to see what happens next week. I did have a good weight loss the week before. We went grocery shopping today so I have lots of good food to eat. We bought a rotissare chicken for dinner so it worked out good.

Good morning, We have a big bid going today. Most likely won't get this job either.

I have not been to the gym since Monday due to having the baby and not feeling quite up to par. I may try to make it tonight, but we normally clean on Thursday nights, so I need to do that first. It will e doubtful

Toni, don't despair. You will have a good loss next week. Hang in there. We have 2 weeks of good eating under our belts. Only 2 more to go and we should see some results in our clothes. Come on, we are doing this.

BF was a protein shake with strawberries. It will hold me for awhile and then I will have a snack. I have mixed berries for lunch and will either have soup or a salad. We eat on the fly on bid days. Dinner I think is going to be ww spaghetti and sauce with a salad.

Have a great day.

Tech, I am on FB also, don't know what I am doing on there. I will try to find you and scrappin, but in case, mine is Jackie Lenahan Graves. I never could find Ellen or Toni.

Jackie, I found you on FB and sent you a friend request. jamie, I typed in your name and found some Jamie Lungaros, but not with the Gaspard. My profile pic is of my old english sheepdog...with a haircut looking in the window with snow on his nose. <3 If you find me, send me a request!

Jackie, I had to stop and think when you said, "After having the baby..." and then realized you must have been babysitting. LOL

Toni: I saw something on TV that said when you hit a plateau, it means your body is reacting to the weight loss, so you must be doing something right. I dunno...I think the scale dropping means I'm doing something right and plateaus are the devil's way of making us frustrated so we give up. Don't give up! Keep going! I'm so mad I gave up when I hit the plateau...I would still be in the 160's instead of the 200s!!!

Crystle: I'm surprised you aren't picking corn already! LOL You're gardening schedule is so far ahead of ours, way down there by Mexico! Up here next to Canada, we're lucky to have the tomatoes ripen before the first frost!!! LOL

Mercee: See my post to Toni. Stick to it and don't get frustrated!!

Dee: Personally, I'd avoid anything that said Atkins on it. LOL He wasn't exactly a great testement to his own diet.

Okay...my menu changed yesterday and went as follows:

Breakfast:

Cheese omlette with coffee

Lunch:

Go lean crunch cereal with a banana and orange

Dinner:

cheeseburger pattie with melted meunster cheese and a large salad

Snack:

Lite n fit yogurt with unsalted peanuts

Water tally:

4 large glasses

TODAY:

Breakfast

mushroom and cheese omlette with half an orange and a banana and coffee

Lunch

Salad and yogurt and apple

Dinner

Salad and some meat (have to walk to the store to buy some)

Snacks will probably include peanuts

Okay, Jillian Michaels is in my head yelling at me...time for the shred!! After I put on my bra! Gravity doesn't need any help with all those jumping jacks!!!

Morning Ladies:

Very busy day at work. I just wanted to check in and say hello. I had a great OP day yesterday and worked out on my treadmill. Gotta go have a great day everyone. Keep up the good work.

Up but not going today yet. Fixing to go make our breakfast/lunch which will be oatmeal and OJ. Haven't figured out what to make for dinner yet. Have to run to town today. Dreading it as my hair looks so bad. Can't wait to go to the beauty shop Tues.

Mercee- You're just buzzing along eating good and doing the treadmill. Good for you.

Kris- Your eating looks good. Yes its hard when the weight comes off as slow as it does on me. But I take lots of medicine for my heart so it slows everything down. I need to get on the dang treadmill and help myself.

Solly- You've got everything sure planned out, which is so good. We're doing good. Hope you're not coming down with what ever virus your family had.

scrappinhut- Hope you're feeling better.

Off to cook.

I did the shred. I had to stop half way through until the spots went away before my eyes, but I got back to it and finished it. Tomorrow, my goal is to do it all the way through with only breaks for a sip of water.

Default Good morning

Howdy. Another warm day yesterday but I didn't make it out to walk. My daughter was feeling poorly so I went over and spent a little time with Little Man. He is such a good boy. It's hard to believe he is only 3 months old. He is reaching for things, grinning from ear to ear and playing in his bouncer already.

I tried to find ya'll on facebook with out much luck. I think I found Jackie. Here is my addy if that helps ya'll find me: http://www.facebook.com/CountryMom4Him

I think someone has been spying on me in the kitchen. Just read today's tip and you'll see why.

Are You A Grazer? Find Out
Don't graze. A taste of that fettuccine or a nibble on that loaf of fresh hot bread or a sample of that cookie batter may not seem like a big deal. But enough small bites can add up to a lot of calories. Stave off that hand-to-mouth reaction by constantly reminding yourself that there's no reason you need to have a bite here and a bite there. If you worked in a kitchen, would you constantly graze on your customers' meals? Put things into perspective so you'll be less likely to falter.

Tech...you are doing so good. I don't believe I could make it through a workout that intense at this point. I was luck to make two miles with a Leslie Sansone video the other day. Keep up the good work. No, no corn yet..LOL But it will be time to plant in about two months.

Toni...I hope you end up enjoying your visit to town. Dinner for us tonight is going to be burritos. I'm thinking of taking the left over veggies and putting them in the blender and hiding them in the meat and bean mixture. It will lower the fat and increase the fiber without the family being more the wiser.

Solly...Sure hope you feel better soon. This time of year is so yucky to feel badly. WW spaghetti sounds good. I had to go off plan and have white pasta yesterday. After visiting my daughter I went to my mom's and there were no OP options. But at least I kept the portion small.

Scrappinhut...wow feeling bad and working out. You go! ((hugzz)) Hope you feel better today.

Mercee...don't work too hard. Good job getting to that treadmill. I told hubby today I want to search this weekend and see if we can find a used one. He is still balking at the idea. He teases me and says I have ten acres I can walk. I just give him the look..LOL

Bob and Ellen...thinking of you guys and hope you are doing well.

NurseDee...hope you are having a good day.

((Everybody)) No matter how many times we slip and fall it is all about the race and everyone who keeps toward the goal is a winner.

God bless,
Crystle

Good afternoon, everybody!

It's so great to see such an active board!

I'm behind with everything as usual and never have much of a chance to write these days, but I just wanted to get out there that I'm still OP and feeling pretty good about that. SB is the BEST for diabetes! My FBS this morning was 111 - the lowest it's been in forever. I got down into the 90s during the day yesterday (haven't seen that one in about as long) so I'm seeing big changes and they're for the good. Now if I can just get this fat to take off and leave...!

Scrappinhut - are you feeling better? Hope so! Your dedication leaves me in the dust, lady. So many people seem to have this awful respiratory thing going on. Good news is that it seems to be moving through quickly. Hang in there

Kris, your tracking is uber excellent! You're so on-program it's amazing. Do you eat whole eggs every day? I know the SB docs say it's OK but I'm still a little wary with my diabetes, though I do like them so much more than plain egg beaters. They have a fuller flavor, even if I just mix one in with the EBs it seems to be much better. And WTG with the Shred! Wow! Just curious - what did you mean about the comment about Atkins not being a testament to his own diet?

Solly, what kind of work are you in? Is it construction? I see you do a lot of bids. It's a lot of work, I know. Hope you get lucky with this one! I must admit I laughed when I (finally) figured out what you meant when you said you had the baby and weren't feeling quite up to par. It hit me the same way, too! Don't underestimate the weight-loss value of housecleaning, even if you don't make it to the gym tonight!

Toni, sorry about your scale disappointment. Yes, heart meds can slow us WAY down. As you said, though, you had a good loss last week and at least you didn't gain this week, right? Hang in there. Next week is sure to show a loss!!

Mercee, WTG on the treadmill! We're looking to get rid of our old one and get a newer one. I find out this week if we get to do it. Hope so! I can't walk naturally on the one we have so I avoid it. It's too icy around here to get a good walk in so a treadmill will be ideal. Hope you're having a good day at work.

Crystle, how blessed you are to have a 3 m/o baby to love. I really miss the tiny babies. Your daughter is blessed to have you there for her when she needs it, too. Thanks, also, for the tips. Keep 'em coming.

I'm trying to decide if I want to make meat loaf or teriyaki burgers tonight. I'm taking a poll at home and the house is divided. Whatever I do, nary a potato shall pass my lips - promise! As long as the first bite doesn't come through I'm safe.

Well, I've been away from work too long so I'd better get back in gear. Enjoy your day, and keep up the good work, everybody! (And if you're not keeping up the good work, this is a great time to start!)

Dee

I got my jeans buttoned!!!!!!

I have a "nice" pair of jeans that I have not worn since Christmas and I had to wear them with a belt and not button them. Today they buttoned. I was happy. Motivation.

Plus it's Friday. Work has been so bad lately that I can't stand it. After 37 years I am ready to retire if only I had the money to. I used to love my job and coming to work, but things have chanaged since the owner died (even though he did not have much input, he was the money backer) and we have a young guy who has been here 2 years that is so rude, arrogant and disrespectful that I can't stand. I have tried everything, he makes me so mad and so defensive. I just want to win the lottery. Enough griping.

I am so saddened by the situation in Haiti. Those poor people. I am just afraid all the money people are sending will not get to the right places. Their government is so corrupt.

Tech, Oh my, I can't imagine having my own baby at this age. Whew! it wears me out just babysitting for extended times. Good job on your shred it. It will get easier and easier.

Mercee, you are plugging along, good job on the exercise.

Toni, what did you get in town?

Crystle, what a good GM. I'm sure your DD appreciated the help and you got to enjoy the baby. 3 months is a cute time. They are just developing a personality and starting to do things. I like them when the "do" things. We are having 50 degree weather today. it's like summer time. I didn't even wear a coat today.

Nursedd, I'm so glad you are seeing such good results with your sugar levels. SB is good for that. Keep up the good work. Yes, I work for a general contractor and we don't have much work so we are bidding everything and things that we shouldn't along with 30 other contractors. Of course, we did not get the one yesterday either.

Bob, Ellen, where are you?

No big plans for the weekend. Lots of basketball on TV. I may try to get to the gym tomorrow or at least work out at home. No excuse not to. Have a good day. I may be back later.

Didn't Dr. Atkins die of heart disease? or something like that...it was kind of an ironic death, from what I remember. I know when I tried Atkins, I was so constipated I felt like i would need surgery when I finally had to go. TMI, I know, but that's what it did for me...a whole lot of steak, eggs and cheese going in one way and NOTHING the other way. If you know what I'm sayin... As for the eggs, i have two in my omlette and my cholesterol is extremely low and is not a problem for me. My dad is diabetic, so I am keeping my eye out for those symptoms...

Off to go do two hair appointments. I had my cheese omlette and banana this morning with my coffee. I run out of produce so fast on this diet. And its so hard to come by around here...

Will return for lunch!! TTFN!!

Also...I have three days under my belt with the Shred. yesterday I walked down to school to get my son and I can't believe the difference already in my body's reaction to just walking. I wasn't out of breath and the pain I get in the tendons on the back of my ankles is minimal. Wicked cool!!

Solly: to the jeans!! Someday, I'll be able to wear mine, too and lose the friggen sweats!
