I haven't seen a NEW thread since I started reading this forum, so I went ahead and started one. Hope that is ok.

Anyway, I'm in Phase 2 still going strong.

How is everyone doing?

Thanks for starting this thread, mammasita! Glad you're doing well.

I had day 1 of cycle 2 of EFS today. It's going very well! I lost 4 lbs. on cycle 1. Made it to the gym for 45 minutes of cardio. Have all my food packed for the office tomorrow.

Have a great day tomorrow.

Happy to hear you are doing well Mammasita.

I am officially on day 1 of the 1st phase. I had made a cup of oatmeal and some cut strawberries. I said I made because i just couldn't eat it all. I am not an oatmeal person and i usually put a boat load of sugar in it so it was pretty hard for me to eat it. I think i ate about a forth or half of a cup. My stomach is growling but i think it is because i usually have a Frappe (frozen caoffe) and some kind of pastry by now. I have a salad scheduled for my morning heavy snack and then i plan on making brown rice with tomatoes and peppers for lunch and i have Kiwi, an orange, and a pear to go with any of those or just for the light snack. Not sure yet what i am going to eat for dinner. I am thinking an egg white omlette.

Wish me luck. I know today and tomorrow will be the hardest

jessvoc, I'm starting today as well. We can do this together, since it's always good to have some support along the way.

I have done this before but got waaaaaay off track and am worse off than I was before. It's a great plan for life, and I really hope to jump back into the mindframe.

To the others who have been doing it already, any good tips you picked up?

Good luck everyone!

@ jessvoc.....I am SO not an oatmeal person either. I was making mine with a lowfat milk, tsp of splenda brown sugar and some cinnamon with a sliced up banana. It turned out pretty good!

Rather discouraged today. I am taking an antibiotic and am wondering if it is making me bloat or gain weight. I looked it up on the internet but the side effects don't seem to include weight gain ... but from what I have been eating, it seems impossible for me to be gaining. Ugh. Plus my lower abdomen is so uncomfortable. The doctor did warn me of possible nausea, but did not mention any of these other nasty GI effects.

Still sticking to it, though. I have my salad with RF dressing and chickpeas for lunch, a banana and a clementine, and have had my vanilla yogurt already.

I bought the 4-day book and am thinking of switching to that to see if it agrees with me more while I am on this medication.

Thinfor5minutes - That's awful. I'm sure the weight gain is from the bloating and the GI effects. Have some plain yogurt. That's the problem with antibiotics they kill good bacteria along with the bad and that's what causes the GI. You just need to replace the good bacteria and you'll feel better. I hope you feel better soon. I'm sure you'll have a swoosh after the medication is done and your tummy is back to normal.

Today is my first day of the Vigorous model on the 4 Day. So, far so good.

Default Thanks, Taurie!

I'm feeling if I need to be on this med too much longer, I'm going to be as big as a house! I've started on a probiotic and am hoping that will help.

No matter what, I am going to keep eating 'on plan', whichever plan that is (Fat Smash or 4-day) and am going to keep exercising.

Ok so I am about half way through my 1st day on FS. It is a little rough wih all of the cravings. I feel like the meals and snacks can't come fast enough. I'm hoping that it gets better as the days go by. How's things going with you Annie?

Great Job Tyla

My 1st day was kinda bad. First i tried to have oatmeal for breakfast and i couldn't stomach it down. Therefore i was hungry 45min later. Then for lunch i wanted to make brown rice with tomatoes and peppers and i guess the microwave here at work isn't very strong because i followed the directions on the box (boil in bag) and it turned out crunchy still. So that meant it was super hard to eat that. Once i got over the morning hill i was ok. I didn't get to exercise last night because my son had an awards ceremony for his Upward Basketball and we didn't get out of there till about 9.
Hopefully today will be better. I am off to a great start, i made some eggs this morning and i am not hungry so that is good.
