tizzychick,
If I were you, I would wait to order the maximum results because as soon as you place your order, you are going to be given a code for $25 off your next purchase. Just a thought.

The 10 day kick start plan tells you what to eat each day. For example, day one:
Breakfast: Waffle with Cottage Cheese, Blueberries, and Turkey Bacon.
Snack: Raspberry Protein Smoothie
Lunch: Tuna Salad
Snack: Celery and Peanut Butter
Dinner: Chicken and Snow Pea Stir-Fry on Brown Rice

Then there's also a menu that comes in the booklet that came with the DVD. Basically, it just lists a bunch of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, and smoothies and their recipes and you choose one of each from the list for the day.

An example of a breakfast:
Egg White Burrito
-4 egg whites, or 1/3 cup liquid egg whites.
-1/4 cup diced tomatoes
-1/4 cup low-fat shredded cheese
-1 6-inch whole wheat low carb tortilla

An example of a lunch:
Turkey Reuben:
-2 slices whole grain rye bread
-4 ounces turkey or your favorite non-processed lean meat
-4 ounces sauerkraut
-1 teaspoon mustard
-1 kosher pickle (optional)
Instruction: Toast bread, then warm sauerkraut and meat, Combine ingredients (except the pickle, that goes on the side)

An example of a smoothie:
Chocolate or Vanilla Banana Shake:
-1 to 2 scoops of protein powder
-6 to 8 ounces water
-4 to 6 ice cubes
-1 banana

I think, basically, you just choose healthy food and eat when you're hungry. I don't ALWAYS follow the diet, but the Turbo Jam workout itself is effective if I just eat right. I refer to the little booklet for ideas of what to make when I'm hungry, but my ingredients aren't always the same as the ones listed. They also recommend that you add flax seed to your diet. They recommend water as your basic drink. Coffee and tea are ok in their basic forms, but should not substitute water.

Overall, I recommend that, if you want to purchase Turbo Jam, do it for the workout, and not the diet. The diet is just like every common-sense diet. Eat right. Eat healthy. No fried chicken, fries, greasy egg rolls...etc. You need not follow "THE TJ DIET" daily, but working out consistently will be the key to your success.

Wow, I just recently started doing Cardio Party 2 and I don't think I've ever sweat so much while working out in my life, even when I was training in tae kwon do! It's good though...

For all of you who have done the maximum results set, what do you think of them? I just ordered them and can't wait to try them.

inchbyinch1 06-13-2006 02:15 PM

Hello ladies-- I did the cardio party last night but I barely made it through it. This 10 day challenge is going to be tuff but I'm sure we will make it.

inchbyinch1:

So glad that you are following the program.

Would you mind posting your daily progress on the New 10-Day Kick Start Challenge thread? That way all of us can be on the same thread. Some do not read the plain Turbo Jam thread. Just click on this link: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=85941

Good Luck doing Cardio Party tonight. I'll doing it as well. It really does get easier each time.

Have a great day!!

Inchbyinch1 - Barely making it through is better then not making it at all (in otherwords, not even pushing play). Feel good that you did do it!!! It's not about how well you did it (I've said this many times, my favorite saying of Chalene's is that mistakes burn calories). And it will be hard at first but it does get easier - without you even realizing it. One day you will be like - oh my gosh, this was nothing and remember that time when it was a struggle. And the most important question of all - did you have FUN???? Was there some enjoyment in that workout????

:bravo: Rachelle

Hello all! I've never posted to message boards before so bear with me. Just ordered Turbo Jam today. Saw info commercial and wouldn't have ordered it if not for the postings here. I'm mid-30s and a VERY finicky eater so I'm not sure how I'll do with the diet plans in the TJ system, but am already watching what I eat (at least most of the time!).

Looking forward to getting my butt off the couch to something that sounds like it might actually work. Hoping to lose at least 80 pounds. Wish me luck!

Any advice would be welcomed!

Thanks!
