Ok so I got my DVD the other day.
I consider myself to be between beginner and intermediate when it comes to exercising/being in shape. I did the Learn and Burn and HOLY crap. I was sweating...lots. This must mean that it is working. I had trouble with a couple of moves and seemed to be 1/2 step behind but I actually had fun. Who knew exercise didn't have to be boring. I like the music alot too. |

Well, I got my TJ!!! :carrot: It came on Thursday, as expected and I ripped it right open and did the Learn & Burn, that was awsome! This morning I got up and did the L&B and the 20 min workout. I am loving TJ!!! Thanks RachelleS!!! I really think that it is a fun workout and it does not feel like a workout at all! I like the time bar at the bottom of the screen, I look at it and think, "I can do anything for 1 more minute" and before you know it, you are moving on to the next exercise. I love it!!! Thanks again! :hug:

Turbo Sculpt - Newbies Beware!
To all the TJ newbies out there, please beware...the Turbo Sculpt DVD seems to be so do-able and easy...but let me tell you, I'm hurting today (LOL). I'm so glad that I had scheduled today as a rest day, because I wouldn't have been able to workout even if I had wanted to. The w/o was so fun that I just breezed through it and thought to myself, this is easy and not too challenging...well today I'm feeling pain in muscles that I didn't even know I had. So when I begin my 10 day challenge, I will save this one for the 10th day...it will be quite awhile before I'm able to do this one without taking a rest day immediately afterwards.

I'm trying to remember - I should know by now. It's standing the whole time. I think the only one you get on the ground at the end is Booty Sculpt when you do the abs part. There is no cardio although you do burn a lot of calories with it. You use the weights and I think a band (one with no handles) - Booty Sculpt uses weights and the band with no handles too and 3T uses the band with handles or you can use weights if you don't have the band. I think I will be doing the Scultp this week so I'll make sure I write down notes. It's awful when you can't remember a workout! Rachelle |
Details regarding Turbo Sculpt
Hi 89fan, the Turbo Sculpt DVD is primarily (probably 99%) standing. The small percentage of floor work is done right at the very end of the workout. There are no situps...just a few leg raises and then on to stretching. One good thing about this w/o is that you can stop at any time and stretch. As you may already know, all of the TJ DVDs have timed segments but they all kind of run together unless you're really paying a lot of attention to the clock. (HTH)
BTW, Chalene recommends using weights but there are two people in the video that are not using weights...it just depends on your fitness level. I started off not using weights, but then picked up 2 lb. weights about 1/4 way through the workout. There is no band work in this w/o. |

I just did Learn and Burn again. I also did the 10 minute standing AB routine. I tried to get into Turbo Sculpt. But I found it way too slow for my liking. I will try it again maybe tomorrow or Wednesday. I will also try Cardio Party and 20 minute workout this week. |
89fan...I think you hit the nail on the head...it is slow! I think this may be why I'm aching so much. I think the slower workouts work the muscles more than w/o's with faster reps.

How long does it take to get????
Ladies how long did it take to get your Turbo Jam?? I ordered it late May 9th and I have not received it yet:( . Did any of you have to wait more than 7 days?
