Indycrafter - I am a very picky eater too. What I've learned is to make small changes as you go along. For example, going to whole wheat pasta from white, then 12 grain bread from white, etc. If you do it gradually, it won't make it so drastic and you will be more able to stick with it. I looked at the TJ eating plan many, many times since I bought the first set last August/September. When I did the 10in10 plan just recently was I open to some of the foods. Course, I didn't follow it like I should have - example: I had my peanut butter on an apple not on the celery.

Good luck. And if you just start with the exercising to Turbo Jam first, that is okay. In my eyes, exercise is just as important as the eating. But that is my opinion. :)

Thanks Rachelle! I agree...any little change is better than nothing. Do you feel that the TJ exercise is working for you?

Hey, lovevinet....YOU GO GIRL! :hat: Keep up the good work! At least you worked out before you hit the dough! Just think if you would have done the dough solo! Be careful...that balance thing sounds a bit worrisome. Perhaps follow up w/doctor is in order, just to be sure all is well? Good luck! Keep up the good work!! Keep us posted! ~Kim

My body is very stubborn but in the last few months I did lose 10 pounds and I think it was 6" (I have to start writing this stuff down) and I was using just Turbo Jam for most of my workouts - I changed it though to doing cardio Monday and Wednesday and a cardio and scultping workout Tuesday and Thursday so for example:

Mon. - Cardio Party 2 (or Cardio Party 1)
Tues. - Cardio Party Remix and Booty Sculpt (or 3T and Fat Blaster)
Wed. - Cardio Party 3 (or Punch, Kick & Jam)
Thurs. - Turbo Sculpt and 20 Minute Turbo Jam
Fri. - ? Yoga Booty Ballet

I feel more toned. I am now on an eating plan with a clinic and I'm continuing to lose weight. I'll measure myself at the end of June to see if I'm losing more inches. I think I am.

This is after trying to lose weight for over 3 years watching calories (also did WW points on my own, Herbalife for two months, Slimfast for six months) and exercising the whole time - I wasn't losing any inches at all and if I did lose some weight, I would gain it back even though I didn't make any changes.

Once, I started losing the inches, the weight started moving downwards too. I think that losing inches is a very important thing (ie toning which is what Turbo Jam does.) When I started to lose inches I felt better in my clothes and people started to comment that they were seeing a change in my body. And you not only tone your body, but Turbo Jam makes you feel good inside too. It lifts the spirits (or it does mine). You have to find something that is fun - something that will make you want to push play even when you don't think you can because you are too darn tired, you don't have the time, etc.

Lovevinet, maybe I would keep a chair handy so you can grab on to it. That would be awful to fall over when you are doing a back kick!!!!! My hats off to you for trying it and making it through!!!! I have found by doing Tae Bo and Turbo Jam, it has improved my balance ALOT!!!!!!! I did a kickboxing class years ago (probably 4 years) at the local Y and the instructor was surprised at how good my balance and kicks were (at that time I was doing Tae Bo).

HI ladies I have been doing a lot of reading about turbo jam and the most I take into consideration is this website. I am kinda short on money right now and dont want to waste it but I deffinatly cant afford the gym soooooo I would really like to hear some reviews about tj so i know its worth my 60 bucks lol. I have had two c-sections and have that really sexy tummy yuck lol. thats the bigest thing i want to get rid of. has tj worked for anyone on that. how much weight have you all lost and how long have you been doing it so on and so forth I really appreciate any info thank you all so so so much!

:) Turbo Jam has worked wonders for my abs. All of the workouts work the abs. But there is one called AbJam and as crazy as this sound I could tell a difference in just two times. I haven't used their diet . I've just been eating fruits, veggies, chicken(baked of course) fish, and drinking lots of water and the weight is coming off. And TJ is just fun hard work but fun. Hope I've helped you and good luck .

YOU GO RACHELLE!!! WHENEVER I NEED A BOOST, I ALWAYS RUN TO THIS THREAD.. I REALLY NEED TO AMP UP MY WORKOUTS.. I FEEL THAT I AM AT A STAND STILL AND I KNOW I NEED TO KICK IT UP TO SEE MORE RESULTS.. THAN KS FOR THE PUSH GIRL AND CONGRATS ON THE HOMELESS INCHES!

RachelleS 06-25-2006 09:52 PM

cjlafaye - Thanks!!!! Seeing those inches move is a huge, huge thing. That tape measure wasn't moving for a very LOOOOOONG time. I was in a chat once with Chalene and I remember her telling me to eat cleaner and up the workouts because I wasn't seeing a change on the scale or with the measurements. And she's right - since I changed it up and added cardio with sculpting two nights a week and doing the Cardio Party's or Punch Kick & Jam the other two nights - it has really helped (lately I've even added a Friday and Saturday workout - either Tae Bo or Yogo Booty Ballet). Before I would do just Turbo Sculpt one night or just Cardio Remix as examples - now I add the 20 minute with the Turbo Sculpt and Booty Sculpt with the Cardio Remix.

So the moral of this long post - if anyone is not seeing results, adding that extra should jumpstart your metablism to make some changes.

Thank you again!!!! Good luck!

I ordered my Turbo Jam the other day and after hearing how you guys talk of it I am excited to get it and start. :-)

sunshinedaizy 06-27-2006 01:46 PM

Hi I am Wendy and I am a Turbo Jammer...I love it!

I have been doing it for about 2 months...I only have the basic set but It has really boosted my inch loss.

I have only lost 12.5 pounds since Starting Weight Watchers and Turbo Jam (started both at the same time) and have lost 23 inches....

WOW!!!

I highly recommed it...

Rachelle & Sunshine...congrats on inches lost!

I remember reading throughout this site several people who reported slow shipments. I ordered the basic set on Sunday, June 18. It was debited from my account on June 22 and I received it June 26. Not exactly what I had expected, but certainly faster than some of the other posts I've read.

Unfortunately, I fell last week and have wrenched my lower back. Figures. Will have to wait for that to heal before I dive into the workout. :(

Keep up the good work everyone!!

Cassie501107 07-01-2006 06:06 PM

I'll be joining you ladies shortly--I ordered Turbo Jam today, and I am sooooo excited! Any tips on starting out?:^:

bbobsgrl 07-01-2006 11:27 PM

Cassie ~~ I would recommend you start with Learn & Burn for a couple of days to become accustomed to the moves. If you do well and feel like you're ready to move on, I would go with the 20-minute workout and Ab Jam next. From there, go to Cardio Party, then Turbo Sculpt. This is what I did and it worked for me. Of course, we're all different and you may need to switch it up a little. I've read where some folks stick with Learn & Burn quite awhile before moving on. Just start slow and listen to your body, 'cause it will certainly let you know if you're overdoing it. Good luck!
