Hi Patricia,

You'll definitely get better! I was very clumsy the first couple of workouts, but I'm already getting better and I received my DVD's less than a week ago. Are you following the diet? I'm hoping to start it soon and see how much I'll lose in 10 days!

Patricia, you're not alone. I ordered mine from QVC and got them yesterday. I watched the L&B one and I tried some of the moves, some I couldn't do, but I'm going to keep trying! :D

It occured to me from posts I've read and talking to a few members that people may be interested in doing the National Slim Down as a group. So if you'd like an invite to a virtual party send me a message w/your email and I'll take care of it.

The challenge itself is the 10 in 10 program from original program, (I've modified it w/new videos sometimes). We can see what determined women can do in 10 days. It starts on the May 15th. We can post before and after stats, and pics. Any ideas are welcome!

P.S. Does anyone know what the workout video is with the Max results set?

Sorry to double post, but the people who are new don't be discouraged. One day it just clicks and you are amazed then you really can feel a difference in your body and your cardiovascular health.

Also if you want to do the challenge you still have a couple weeks to gear up for it

As Good As It Looks .. ?

Hey. I'm new here and I'm actually not that old - younger than 20, but I just saw an ad for Turbo Jam on tv and it looks like a lot of fun. Here's the thing - I don't like working out and I can never get into it long enough to actually lose any weight - which I really need to do. Prom isn't too far away and I want to BLOW everyones mind on how great I look. So I was just wondering if it actually works and if you'd recommend it. Please keep in mind, I have also never done Tae Bo. Thanks :)

:dancer: WOW.....I was watching that commercial on Tubro Jam and I wasnt sure I looked online for before and after photos.....The results are successful and others say that it makes them feel really good. I think I am going to have to try this out...I am glad that someone is already doing it.....it helps and gives others (like me) an incentive to try it out.... :)

RachelleS.......

I am new to this site, I just stumbled upon it today and I have to say that I am impressed with it!!

The reason for my post is that I have to tell RachelleS.....

You have inspired me to try Turbo Jam. Your enthusiasm for that workout is very contagious! I have been doing the Tae Bo workouts for about 4 years now and I really enjoy them~still working up a good sweat too! I have the basic workout, the fat blasting cardio and total body fat blasting and then I bought the Boot Camp workouts-Cardio Live, Ultimate, Ab and Basic Training.

But I am getting bored, losing my ambition and thought that it was time for something new, but did not want to stray too far from the kickboxing....I really enjoy that!

So, I have ordered the Turbo Jam package and cannot wait for them to get here! I should have them next week and I will let you know what I think. I am sure that since we both seem to enjoy the Tae Bo, I will enjoy the Turbo Jam as much as you do. Thanks for the recommendation!:)
Darcy

I can't wait to hear how you like them Darcy!!!! I will feel really bad if you don't like them although I know we all can't like the same thing. I have taken a break from Taebo although I do the Fat Blaster every once in awhile but that was my main workout for almost seven years. I actually pulled out Cathe Friedrich's Basic Step and did the add on of upper body tonight and it was okay but I so wished I would have put a Turbo Jam workout in instead. I am addicted. ;) It is a good thing to be addicted to though. This was the first step workout I have done in a long, long time.

Let me know when you get them what you think! Good luck!

Rachelle

I LOVE TURBO JAM! Now, it's only been a week, but I've really been getting into these workouts...don't know if any inches or lbs lost, but I can definitely feel a diff in pants and general body mechanics...you'll find yourself "tucking" without realizing it, which is good because, for me at least, it tightens the abs and sort of stretches out the back. I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT! Money well spent.

nail-lady 05-04-2006 10:11 AM

I am really looking forward to getting the TJ set and feeling more energized...I am sure that I will love it!
I have gotten away from using my Tae Bo recently, mainly because I have gotten a little bored with it. When I want a cardio workout, I really want to sweat and the only complaint I have with my Taebo collection is that often resistance is added and it slows the workout and my heart rate down---I want to keep it up. I do my resistance training on opposite days of my cardio, sometimes I will do both in one day, but generally I do cardio Mon, Wed, Fri then weights Tues, Thurs and Sat.
I started using some of the workouts on the Fit Channel (368 on direct TV). Some of them are good, but you really need to do the hour long workouts to get anything out of them. The 30 min. workouts are just too short because they have you do the warm up and cool down with them, so you only actually end up getting about 15 minutes of real workout.
I have done some of Cathe Friedrich's workouts, I really like her Kick, Punch, Crunch. Her step workouts get me all out of wack! I end up getting frustrated with the complicated moves up,over & around the step and just give up.
Well I didn't mean for this to get so long.....thanks for letting me ramble!

i'm jealous

i'm so jealous of everyone. i got my turbo jam tuesday and have had to content myself w/ looking at the box b/c i'm sick and can't work out. :( honestly, i'm beginning to think the cosmos have something against me

DancingAngel 05-04-2006 04:29 PM

I wanted to tell y'all I did Cardio Party Mix 3 yesterday. It is just wonderful. The music goes so well with the moves. The cast and Chalene are so enthusiastic. I love the way the action never slows down and that the moves can be intensified or modified so easily. And the cool down/stretch segments are so soothing!

Dealing with BB custome service was aggravating. But I'm glad I got the package! It's a definite keeper and will be visited often.
