Hey misstraveller,
Would you mind giving me the link to where you found the schedule for the exercises? That's the reason I came to this thread today.
I finally got my Chalean Extreme - I got it on eBay, and it was sold as new (and everything was sealed) - I don't have those pages either!!! and I was shaking my head wondering what schedule to follow.
This morning, I popped in the Burn 1/2/3 disk and then, to my surprise, found out at the end that it is "disk 5". I am very confused by the unclear labelling and lack of an schedule.
Thanks Nelie, I did find them and came back to update my post but you had posted it already in the meantime.
I read a rewiew somewhere which says the program came with BOOKS (she means thick books) while mine had only 2 thin brochures. Oh well, never mind, I am not that much into reading that stuff anyway, i would much rather spend the time exercising.
Nelie, have you done Chalean? (You seem to have tried just about everything).
Does anyone have an issue with the thigh toner rolling up and sticking to itself? and does anyone know how to prevent it? Maybe my house is just humid. I don't know but it happens every time i use it.
I have been trying to add cardio to each circuit day but it's hard to fit it in at 4:00am. Do you all add cardio to circuit days and if so, have you seen better results with it?
Tomato and Misstraveller- Were your CLX sets much cheaper on Ebay? I always wonder where people get items from to sell so cheap. Maybe the sellers are able to get the semi-defective copies from somewhere much cheaper. I'm glad you posted about it. I'll think about that next time i'm shopping. Thanks!
My CLX came with leaflets and not full books (I got it from Amazon). I've got on OK with it though once I found the schedule on-line. Just finished the programme and although I didn't lose a lot of weight there is certainly some muscle hiding under my layer of fat now. Just got to get rid of the fat to show it off!
So I've done 4 workouts with chalean so far and I really like her. But I'm using resistance bands and it's a pain in the butt. First of all, I have the bands that you have to change the handles on, so by the time i've got the handles off the old band and on the new band, they've already started doing reps.
I've tried pausing the DVD to switch the handles, but then I still have to wrap the bands around my legs/arms appropriately and half the time I'm not doing it right.
Have any of you used the bands with the video and if so, what were your experiences? did it get easier over time?
I'm feeling frustrated and wondering if this is really doable.
Tomato - Glad you found them! I got my Chalean set off of ebay as well, it was advertised as new, came sealed and it sounds similar to yours. But it sounds like a lot of people got the same thing when they ordered. My booklets say you can get guidelines on how to do the initial measurements on pages 40 - 48, but they don't have more than 20 pages! Don't get that really.... so I need to figure out how to measure, but i'll get to that soon i suppose.
I've done the first workout yesterday. I have cake decorating class tomorrow night, so I'm gonna switch it up and do my second workout today. I can't wait! My boyfriend has a version of the selectech weights, and they are pretty easy to use. I can see that using the bands would be far too tricky for me!
I did Burn it Off! yesterday and I just have to say: OUCH. I was breathing SO hard. It may only be 27 minutes, but it's like 27 minutes of h-e-double hockey sticks....
OK i'm not sure anyone else is still reading these posts, but I just did Burn Intervals and Ab burner for the first time. HOLY. CRAP. Should not have gone to swim for 1/2 an hour prior to, that workout alone would have been plenty!
AmyMack - I don't recall exactly but I think I paid around $53 for Chalean Extreme on eBay. Fiftysomething for sure. It was definitely a better deal than ordering from BeachBody. I don't care that I didn't get the books - most likely I would not read them anyway. I try to get everything on eBay, if I can.
