Hey Ladies!
I started back on Phase 1 Burn Circuit of CE yesterday. I did it last summer and lost some weight, but I realize now that I must be more patient with CE than with Turbo Jam or Power 90, so I'm giving it another go.

I took a little break today because my thighs are killing me, I only walked for a mile on the treadmill today. But tomorrow it's back to CE. Good luck ladies, just push play!!

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and I am putting in my order for CE tomorrow. You all have such inspiering stories n posts. I have tried doing p90x and never got more than 3 weeks into it. I seen a comercial for CE and really wanted to try it. I started researching for more info on it when I came across this forum. I think with p90x my problem was mostly no motivation! I think this forum will do wonders for me because you are all so motivating and helpful in sharing tips and info. I am 5'6" and 216lbs. My goal weight is 145 and I am hoping this will help me get closer to my goal. I don't just want to lose weight though. I want to be healthy and fit. I want to be toned up, not be thin with loose skin. Well, that's pretty much it about me. Can't wait to be able to join you all! I'm super excited and pumped! Oh...one question I have is what are all the weights you all bought? I don't have alot of room to store a bunch of weights so any ideas? Also what is the heaviest I should get? I don't have very good uper body strength and I'm not sure if that will matter? I just want to have everything I need by the time my dvd's come. Thanks for all your help...hope you all are having a wondeful day!

I don't have good upper body strength either. As a matter of fact, my triceps are nonexistent. I started out using 5 pounds for upper and am finishing up my third week with as much as 10 pounds. For lower body I'm up to 20 pounds. I have a friend who only has 5, 8, and 10 pound weights, so that's what she uses and she's about to start her first week of Push. My fiance just happened to have the set of weights from Powerhouse that ranges from 5-25 pounds that he got from Walmart, so I've been using those. Hopefully I'll never need 30 pounds.
I'm about to finish up my third week, and CXR combined with extra cardio has helped me lose 9 pounds, 4 inches off my waist, and a few inches off in other places so forth. Can't wait to see what results I get in the Lean phase.

Yay! Just placed my order last night for CE! I'm super excited to start! I'm hoping to get it by next weekend and I will start that coming Monday. Hubby is supper supportive and has agreed to spend some $ for the weights so that's a plus. Does anyone use any of the beachbody supplements? How do you like them? I have heard here and there about recovery shakes after a workout to burn more fat and not be as sore. Anyone drink those? If so which ones taste good? I'm really dense when it comes to stuff like that. My bro always drinks the whey protine shakes but he is bulking up so I figured you would only drink those if you want major muscle? Maybe someone can help clear this up?

I use the whey protein shake just because it is less expensive, but they don't taste very pleasant. A friend of mine is a Beachbody Coach, and she just ordered some and is going to let me try some, so I'll let you know how it is.

monkeywish Insanity for the first months workouts are about 40 min some 35 and its 6 days a week the second moth some are 50 miin and some 1 hour. It if you do it combinded at least the second month does not make me want to do many more workout besides stretch. Now I am back to the Moth one doubles I have a little left in me INSANITY KICKS BUTT its a great workout!!!

AS FOR protein drinks I for one dont do them NO THEY won't bulk you up nor will lifting heavy but I just want to eat my calories we just don't get to eat that much being women THESE programs are here to SELL so of course they are goin to PUSH using them but if you are doing the protien carb snack after your workout you are good to go... a liitle yougrt & fruit, p/b apple ect.

Weights I have 5,8.10,12,15,20 only use 5 for burn it off and Interval and 10 only for warm up now. Mostly use 12,15 for upper and 20 for lower. WISHING for 18 and 25 for my BIRTHDAY but they are pricey!!!

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've posted and there are a bunch of new faces!

First of all, congrats to deva for finishing up the doubles program you were on! You rock!

Secondly, I am finished with clx as well! I'm not doing the lean for life month, and going straight to P90X. I finally got my pullup bar and will hopefully be starting today after work. If anyone wants to see my progress pics from CLX they are in a link at the bottom of my signature. I still have the body fat covering up most of my muscles, but you can definitely see in the pics that I did get some tone. My stomach really hot smaller which is great! You guys are gonna love this program!

I also wanted to try ********** and use it as a meal replacement, because I work at a restaurant and I can usually fit ONE meal in working no problem, but 3 hours later I am starving and need something else but we are extremely busy so there is no time to microwave/prepare anything. So being able to just drink and go would be nice. The price kinda has kept me away though....it seems a bit high. If anyone has tried **********, let me know what you thought! Is it worth it?

I wanted to pop in because I'm doing CLX I actually started doing P90x and did great the first month but had some difficulty with month 2 so I took a step back. And honestly? Tony talks wayyy too much and makes the workouts longer than they need to be. If he just shut up, the workout would be at least 20 minutes less. So which is why I wanted to try Chalene Extreme. It is going pretty well so far.

Eve - I looked at ********** and honestly wasn't impressed with the ingredients. You can find similar type meal replacements elsewhere. Personally, I really like hemp based protein and one of my favorites is Vega. Unfortunately, you can only find it online or in certain 'health food' type stores like Whole Foods or maybe other stores that focus on more natural foods.

Another option may be something like Luna or Clif bars if you need something that is quick and don't have time to eat. They'll curb your appetite until you can get a decent meal.

Hi All!

Been reading all the posts... so much good info and motivation! I just started CE a couple of days ago and love it! I'm using the powerblocks 2.4 and so far they are working out for me. One question -- how does everyone find the energy to add in additional TJ workouts? I have these too but feel like I would be too burnt out to include them. Any tips on keeping up the energy to do the extra cardio?

Thanks!!!!

I usually do Turbo Jam before CLX. It gets me warmed up and when I finish the cardio, it's a way to force me into not skipping my main program. I just added the extra cardio on the second week and short workouts (30 min max). A month later I was able to do TJ's Cardio Party and CLX. Go within your limits. Add a little cardio one or two days a week and see how that goes. If you feel you can do a little more, than add a little more!

I am doing Insanity with Turbo Jam and ChaLEAN Extreme. Not all on the same day of course, but Insanity is my main program now. I do TJ 3x a week and CLX 3x a week (the weightlifting routines).

Default I got CE Yesterday!!

I got in in the mail yesterday! I just looked at the box like "the start of my new life is contained within this box!"...

My sister and I are starting CE on Friday (because we planned our rest days to be saturday and thursday)...We don't have a camera right now to take a "before" pictures, we need to figure something out..

also..is there something similar to the purple thigh band that could be bought?..since my sis n i are doin the workouts together, I don't know how we can get an effective wrkout if only one of us is using it, or alternating, or whatever...

I'm extremely nervous..I don't want this to be another failed attempt..I think that's my biggest fear right now.

danceportal - you can buy similar bands at almost any sporting good store and maybe Target.

I'm frustrated and need help. A friend of mine and I started Chalean Extreme about 4 weeks ago (this is week four). She's lost 21 lbs and 12 inches but I've only lost 9 pounds and 12.5 inches. Furthermore, I have been stuck at 173 since Saturday despite increasing the intensity of cardio at the gym. Of note, I have lost an additional inch since Saturday. Is it normal to not lose weight on Chalean Extreme despite cardio? My friend has been losing crazy amounts, but my weight hasn't been changing lately. Anybody else stop losing weight around week 4? When can I expect to start losing weight again?

Squishy - you lost 9 lbs in 4 weeks and 12.5 inches and you aren't happy!? That is awesome. Honestly, weight loss isn't linear and you can't always rely on the scale to show you fat loss only weight and our weight is composed of a few things including water. Keep sticking with it.
