Hey! Did you get to that Ab workout after the baseball game? I hope so

I just bought some new weighted gloves to use today when I do my two Turbo Jam workouts, I'm pretty excited about that - I want my arms to get leaner fast! Hopefully the gloves help some.

I've never heard of that book - I will have to check it out

BTW I forgot to tell you what Oatmeal & Cereal. I know my oatmeal is just instant oatmeal usually peach or strawberry - not big on plain oatmeal. Cereal I eat any kind that has oats in it - like honey oats cereal and some Kashi but kashi tastes too "airy" for me if that makes sense lol

I've been thinking about adding some P90X into my routine - how do you like it? My Aunt did the full 90 days and her upper body is ripped now!

Hey Denise...........
I didn’t get to do my ab workout last night, but I got to do it this morning! I have Yoga on the schedule for tonight its 1 and half hours long and it’s my least favorite one  p90x guy says it’s so very important so I have to do it and maybe one day I will enjoy it!  Don’t know though!
I just tumble all over the place w/Yoga and I am not soooo flexible BOOOOOO!!!!!
That’s why I hate it because I feel like an idiot doing it! LOL

** wow your aunt looks amazing then from the P90X then! I have ok arms there is a thin layer of fatness I can’t seem to get rid of so that you could really see my tris and biceps/shoulders!
SOME DAY!!!!! But about what I think of P90X well I think its solid, I think you really have to eat the way he tells you (lots lots of protein, and measure, measure your portions) I believe in eating clean you know!
I find I barely find the time to work out never mind measure and cook many meals at ones and I have 3 others in my household. So it’s not so easy for me right now!
About the workouts they are funky and hard core! Not all of them just some of them! I truly enjoy/love …….Kenpo/Cardio/Core/Legs+back & I like how the other strength ones are tough but in a good way you know. And I hate the Yoga and Ab Ripper. I have the weakest abs of all times after my children (2 C-Sections) not cool! so 2 dreaded workouts out of like 15 not bad I just love Chalene’s personality better then Tony’s that’s my main thing!
I found that I was able to get more definition from Chalene. That could be because I was so focused and didn’t miss a workout!  I do get sore each time I do p90x I try to give it my all each time.
Good I am not big on plain oatmeal either!

Hahaha yeah - surprisingly when I was doing Insanity for 30 days I got really flexible so now I'm not so bad! But I hear ya - I always feel embarrassed when doing yoga and stuff like that too! lol

Yesterday I did Push Phase 1 for the 2nd time but it is really the first time my arms have been super sore from a CLX workout. That makes me happy! My aunt however, is shorter than you and around 160, but man her arms and shoulders & back look super amazing after P90X. She was visiting about a month ago and we were doing some Insanity together and I was kind of jealous haha so I definitely say stick it out! I know the guy can be annoying - but one thing is for sure, he knows what he is talking about haha! You have to keep me posted on your changes!!! Man talking about that and thinking about her arms makes me really want to mix his shoulder & back and arms video into my routine LOL

It's officially that time of the month and I feel so fat and bloated. Guys stay thin & lean easier than us as it is, cant they get this crap instead of us?!

We definitely got the short end of that stick lol --- I hope I don't get lazy and slack for the rest of the week :/ (someone please check in with me this week!)

Hi all,

It is another beautiful day in Toronto! I did Burn Circuit 2 today for the first time - it was pretty good. I am basically using between 10 and 25lbs. One of the things I find difficult is that I have very very strong legs but my upper body strength is weaker. So when we do these compound exercise, I feel like my legs could handle a lot more but my arms cannot. Anyhow, I do what I can. I don't end up feeling like I get a great workout with my legs/butt etc. but my upper body definitely feels worked out.

Anyway, It is so gorgeous out that I went for a 40 min walk after with my aunt instead of doing a 20-30 min cardio. Fun!

Denise24 I got burned out towards the end of Insanity as well - it took me 4 weeks to complete the last 2 weeks!!!! I was pretty done with it by then. Turbo Fire looks great - I'll definitely look into it when it comes out.

For those of you discussing protein shakes - the one I have is called Protein Dream by Doctors for Nutrition and it is great. It was recommended by a naturopath doctor because it is hormone free/gluten free. It is really good. I mix it with 2 cups of frozen blueberries, water, ground flax seeds, and a scoop of Greens First (a green supplement also by Doctors for Nutrition). It is a great breakfast!!

Hope you all are well.

Hey,

If you need more focus on one area and need more weight for leg exercises you will love the Push circuit where she focuses on one muscle group at a time and wants you to lift super heavy for leg exercises

Something to look forward too!

I am so sore from doing two turbo jam vids yesterday with weighted gloves...how am I going to get through Push Circuit 2 again today... oh boy lol

Thanks Holly! I am waiting for my hubby to get home from work. He said he would do my Push Circuit 2 with me today after work. He always makes me push myself when I workout with him so hopefully he can kick my butt this week until I feel better haha! I think I may just use 10 lb weights for the entire workout today though - I am so sore!

but I'm going to do it!

I haven't been religious about taking measurements and weighing myself. In fact I think I only weighed myself once since I've started.

Having said that, I've been doing it (actually for 5 days a week) for 2 weeks now and have already lost a couple inches in my waist. I look much thinner and my husband is constantly telling me how amazed he is with how tight my stomach has gotten. I've mainly noticed it in my arms, I have nicely defined biceps and triceps now! I'll have to take a some recent pictures to show everyone sometime

Are you thinking about getting the program or do you have it? I would definitely recommend it! Her two cardio workouts that come with the video are good also, if you like more cardio just double up on them.

quick post!
i went from a size tight 12 to a 9 after the 3 months and i only did Chalene and clean eating! I may have walked extra 1/2 here or there at my lunch breaks but nothing crazy. I would have gotten too overwhelmed if i would have added more workouts then what i already needed to commit too~ and i was just coming off a long time off from working out at all! So i kept it simple ......why because i knew i would be doing it again and again anyhow ........so whats the rush! I just went hard each workout so that i would SEE results even if the scale didnt move i felt stronger each day.
I went from 168 to 151 ..........so about 17 pounds alone all with Chalene X .........it works just give it your all and you will see and get results. I gained a few i am now half thru p90x and will do Chalene X or Turbo fire at the end of that and hope i have reached my goal by then! and then just Maintain it ...........

I've got a pdf of the workout tracking sheet if anyone needs it. I got it from the Beachbody site but can't find the link now.

I'm on week 3 of lean and I really don't like lean as much as burn and push. I struggle to keep my balance with some of the exercises. I've not seen any amazing changes however I've only recently started to eat correctly (I'm doing the primal diet), I think that this has a huge impact on the effectiveness of the exercise programme. You have to sort out you food as well as do the exercise!
