Second round of CLX has officially started last week. Well, I skipped the Burn Month and went to the Push Phase (my favorite).

I only did TurboFire for the last 30 days, but I kind of missed the weights and I added the CLX. Muscle burns fat, right?

I use adjustable dumbbells and it was the best investment I've made. I'm still working up my weights and I can go as far as 20lb. I know that's no too much, but that's what it takes for me to fail. And I only use 20's for the leg exercises. With the arms I can go as far as 15lb.

Stick to the program, you'll get amazing results. I lost 45 pounds the first time around doing TurboJam and CLX. I started with 185 pounds and I'm now at 140. I still have 10 pounds to go, and I know this will take a lot of effort.

I think I'm only going to do three weeks of Push then move to Lean. I need to see some weight loss numbers and I'm not seeing it during this phase. I am enjoying lifting heavy though!
I hate lunges! It's like the worst exercise ever! But I do it... and yes, I have also screamed at Chalene: "why are you doing this to me?????"

Well, when I finished my first round of ChaLean, I was at 149 pounds. So, I lost 36 pounds doing a combo of CLX and Turbo Jam. The last 9 pounds I lost with Turbo Fire (I'm getting close to day 60) and I just started again CLX because I misses the weights.

I never went on a diet. I would only control my caloric intake and I would keep a food diary of everything I ate. I use www.livestrong.com 'cause the food database they have os huuuuuuuge.

I have just started CLX yesterday. Enjoyed the first workout but need heavier weights as I have only 1kg and 1.5kg at the moment. Still feel it today in my legs though. Going to do Turbo Jam along with this also. I have a lot of weight to lose and I know it's going to be a long journey. I do weightwatchers also so get weighed every week, just concerned a little with the gains and sts that seems to be happening while you do this program. Just hope I don't get too discouraged by this.

Hello ladies. I just started Chalean this past week. I am not doing it perfectly on schedule because I dont always have time for a video (those days I treadmill instead)
Anyways... The weights I have are WAY too light so I need to buy some heavier weights. Im wondering if its worth trying to invest in the adjustable type... or if I could get away with some 10's and or 12's??
If you think adjustable is the way to go... what ones do you have, where did you get them, how much, and are they good?

Thanks so much!!!

Hello!

I just finished reading all the posts and got alot of my questions answered So thanks everyone!

I start CLX 2 weeks ago. At first I did it wrong because I only did Burn Circuit 1 all week. Then read on this thread (thanks again) that there is a schedule. Like many others I only got the 2 little booklets. Last year I lost 12lbs and 2 pants size with my Aero Pilates machine. I felt like I plateaued though after 7 months, even advancing in videos. So, now I'm back on track. I am 5'2" and weigh 162lbs. I carry my weight around my belly. I eat 1400 to 1600 calories a day. Not bad, I feel like I get all I want plus a cookie if I have enough calories left. I had to get back on a plan because I grew out of my "small" jeans. After 2 weeks, I can get back into my small jeans but they are pretty tight. I'm very happy so far with the program.

The only things is, I feel like I don't do them 100% correctly. At times my arms are okay with the weight, but my legs aren't as as strong. What should I do? Also I have the bands and they are a cheap fix now, but I'd rather try the weights. There is so much restriction with the bands, thus I don't feel like I'm doing the reps correctly.

I'm glad to join you guys. I've learned so much already!

To answer your question, "What should I do", I say you just keep at it! The more you do, the stronger you'll get! Push yourself to do a little more every time and before you know it you whole body will be RIPPED!

So I am getting ready to order this so that I have it when I finish Slim in 6 in 2.5 weeks. What type of weights should I order?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I started CLX again last night. I was half-way through the LEAN phase when I broke my ankle last summer.

So I'm starting again. My. Butt. Is. Sore.

But I guess that's a good thing. I still can't go down as low into the lunge on the bad side because the range of motion in my ankle won't allow it, but all-in-all it held up pretty well.

Did I mention my butt was sore??

I'm on my third day of CLX! Woo Hoo! Got up a 4 am (okay, I hit the snooze...4:15) to make sure I have that time just for me.....no excuses.

Blu, I kinda stalked through these posts as motivation while I was waiting for my dvds to arrive, and had enjoyed some of your previous posts. Sorry about your ankle. Happy you are paving your own road to recovery. And yes, my butt is sore too! ha ha I had also ordered some heavier weights that haven't arrived yet so my heaviest weight is only 5lbs. I'm not sure I will be able to walk once the weight increases! I AM looking forward to transforming my body though sooooooo here I go!

My aunt (who is only 3 years older than me) was commenting about how tough it sounds. I told her it's not easy, but neither is carrying all this extra me around, being tired all the time and feeling like ca-ca!

Luck and determination to us all!

Hi,

I am finished with the Push phase tomorrow. Starting Lean on Monday! I made 30 days. Actually 37 because I did the first week of Push wrong.

I didn't take measurements or weigh myself. I just started weighing last week. I know i have lost about 5 lbs. I had lost 10 last year with pilates (it took me 7 months along with WW), but probably gained it all back. I can fit comfortably into my small jeans again so that feels pretty good. I didn't weigh or take measurements because I'm the type of person who gets discouraged easily. I would measure or weigh myself everyday and if didn't loose I know I would quit.

I'm actually looking forward to Monday. That is a first as far as exercise goes.

Glad to see more people are posting

Wow Deb! Way to stick with the it! Did you just skip the Burn phase? Are you using weights or bands?

I went ahead and weighed and measured myself to begin with because I wanted to have those tools to gauge my progress. Sounds like your jeans are doing the trick for you. I don't plan to weigh and measure again until the 30 day mark. I recently lost 10 pounds on my own with some dietary changes and now I am ready to BURN THIS FAT OFF!

Just did Burn 3 today and am loving this.....even though it's a bit of a butt kicker! I have some weights on order (that are taking FOREVER to arrive) so while I wait for my weights the heaviest weight I have to use is 5lbs. Not near heavy enough to work the program as intended, but still effective.

I'm looking forward to my workouts too! That is a very cool thing!

My set of DVD's didn't come with instructions so I did Burn Circuit 1 the entire week. A week later I figured it out and started all over again. Right now I'm using the bands, but they are cumbersome. I have an eight pound weight so I try and use that as much as possible. Eventually I'm going to buy a couple more weights. With the bands I just don't feel like I'm doing it right.

I'm so excited and wish I would have started sooner. What works for me is knowing in 90 days I should see some results. It keeps me motivated.

Do you exercise first thing in the morning?
