dairyou Thanks for your response! I loved the Push phase.

I'm at 187 lbs at the moment (I'm 5'8), so I'm definitely still overweight and need to lose lbs and inches. I'm so happy with the CLX program. I've realized that I really enjoy weight lifting, so I definitely want to continue with that. So I've decided that after I complete the Lean phase, I'm going to take a week off (not in terms of total exercise, but just a week off CLX) and then begin again. But next time, I will just to the weight training circuits and replace the cardio days with cardio routines from another program.

I don't want to quit CLX because I do see a lot of indentations on my arms and just a tiny bit of sculpting, so I'm really excited to see how they would look if I continue building muscle with Chalean. And like you said, I don't want to lose the muscle that I've worked so hard for. So I figure another round wont hurt me

How is the Push phase going so far? I think that was my favorite phase because thats when I lost the most! Good luck and I hope you're enjoying it!!

ihavethemusicinme Congratulations on losing those inches!!! Don't you just love how you lose inches all over? 2 inches in 2 weeks is not just pretty good, its fantastic! You will see that it is just the beginning.

I don't know the science behind why the scale goes up - but what you said about muscle gain seems to make sense. I wouldn't be too concerned with what the scale says as long as you are following a healthy eating plan and you still see the inches drop.

You may not want to do this, but I may as well share, that I did the Burn phase for 5 weeks. Just because I had never lifted weights before and I felt that my form wasn't too good the first week. I'm making my mom do that too. Just an FYI.

For me, there came a point when my weight was just stagnant. And I didn't seem to be losing inches either. And my eating was just alright - not great. But I just continued and with a little more time, and then with a teeny tiny improvement in my eating, the weight (and inches!) just seem to literally melt away. Literally, I would see a little decrease every single day. So if you're ever at a point (not saying you will be, but just in case!) where nothings changing, just continue! And you will be sooo proud of the outcome!

I'm so happy that there are people out there that I can talk to about how I'm doing on this program. Some days are harder than others, but the results are so worth it.

Hope to hear updates from all of you! xo

Please, let's the Lean phase be finished - it's killing me!! I enjoyed the burn, loved loved loved the push and dying at lean! I hardly wait the circuit is over that I can start all over again :-)

The workout is hard but it's worthly. The results are astonishing and I feel/see inches-lost all over my body. I'm keen for scale next weekend!!!

Whoo! Tell me about it! Lean is squashing me! I did LC 1 today. It was TOUGH. I'm failing at the proper reps, but I really wanted to move up in my weights this week but realized I wasn't able to lift heavier. So I'm kind of bummed about that. I'm at a point where I feel I can go up a smidgen from 5kgs (11 lbs) but I cant curl 7 kgs (15.4 lbs) - and thats the only denomination up I've found at my local sports shop. Oh well.

Chalean at Lean is killing machine!! I also thought how strong I am when I finished Push. But then LC2 really crushed my body. I'm not able to arm lift more than 3 kg (6,6 lbs). I'm getting a little stronger but still... That I don't even start talking about push ups. I'm still on knees most of the time, struggling to get on toes :-)

And how heavy weights are you guys lifting? Just curiosity

Hi all.
I have been reading this forum for a while and it was a big help and encouragement during my weight loss ( i lost 74 lb in this last 9 months) and now i decided to register ( im a guy btw lol ). I still want to loose around 7-8 lb.
So i wanted to start incorporating weight training besides the cardio and i decided to start CLX because it seemed like a good program and didn't require as many equipment as p90x and could possibly get me the results i want.
So im ending my second week of the burn phase but im not too happy with the results because im not losing much weight. In this two weeks i only lost 1 lb i only lost 0.78 inch ( 2 cm) on my waist which im happy with, but the weight is not coming off. I thought i could be that im gaining muscle mass, but im only lifting 10 lb, which is the only dumbbells i have, and im on a calories deficit and from what I've heard is hard to create muscle with a deficit(if not impossible).

Has anyone had difficulty in losing weight while doing this?

It's bad because i actually like the workouts and i actually look forward to them but im not seeing the results i like.
Also im adding cardio almost every day and only take one rest day( on the first rest day i do cardio) so im burning around 600 cal some days and 400 other days and the cardio workouts i add are the ones on CLX or jillian michaels BFBM.

I only lost a pound during the first 2 weeks and 1 inch. I did some research and I've read that a lot of people have lost more over the last 2 phases. And since you're gaining muscle the weight lost isn't going to be as high. Don't pay attention to the scale as much if you're losing inches then something good is happening to your body and that's awesome! I think I posted my results after 2 weeks a few pages back. I'm at the end of phase 1 now and I've lost 2 inches in my waist and 2 (maybe more) in my hips, but I really don't think I've lost any weight. But I can tell my body is changing. Don't just stop the program it's a good workout

It's very simple. With regular food diet you lose fat, pounds and a lot of muscle. You could get high scale number drop but your body stays flabby (skinny fat). CX program tries to keep/build muscle and gets you strong and toned.
I finished CX last week and I've lost 2 sizes and "only" 3,5 kg (7,7 lbs). It's not a big number but it's a big change to see. My belly is flat and my thighs are much thiner.
What I'm traying to say - don't rely upon scale only!!

Thanks for the answer.
I won't stop the program because i like it very much ( although it is starting to get boring doing the same things but im almost ending the first month). I had kind of a cheat weekend and eat somethings that i shouldn't and a little too much than what i was used but i guess that's what my body was needing because i got back to my calorie restriction and exercise and the scale moved down Can't wait to finish the whole program, but the problem is that now i only have 10 lb weights and i will probably have to invest in some new and heavier weights to see better and quicker results...

Zenix: yeah I started to get bored towards the end of the first month too. But I do think I'm going to go up in weights next time I do a push circuit! Which is exciting

Hello All!!

I have two questions. If they've been addressed already, feel free to direct me to the old post. I did a search, but didn't find answers so here goes!

(1) Has anyone had any luck/results with CE though NOT following the meal plan? While some of the meals are cool, a bunch of the meals provided in the guidebook just aren't my style. I've been eating clean and I'm willing to stick to a clean eating "diet," but I just can't follow a menu that is prescribed to me. I like variety and I like to have control over what I eat. Would I still have results if I ditch this meal plan?

(2) How many rest days do you all take? I'm looking at only taking one rest day as opposed to two. I am trying to lose a great deal of fat so I need all the extra cardio I can get! I won't overdo it, but I do think I need more than that one day of cardio.

I appreciate your help in advance!
