So Im getting alittle irritated with my scale, lol. I upped my exercise this week a lot, pulling more weight and reps, increasing my intensity of my cardio, and my weight is bouncing around like crazy. I just wanna get to 165 by the end of the month, must be too much to ask XD
Looking forward to an active weekend. Philly, you know, I used to be into the grocery store cakes big-time as a way to deal with some stress I was having. Even now, I'll pick one up now and again, and I find they're really not that good. Now if I could just apply the memory of the last bad one to the ones I've yet to buy before I buy them!
But the strawberries Have been really good and I've been having those with a bit of Greek yogurt and either shaved cheese or hemp seed and that has been good. Seems my healthy meals are getting more healthy, which makes my junk food seem that more junky
Everyone is doing so great! The scale is a pain in the &%$ sometimes, I know. Too bad we can't do this on credit, you know, 20 pounds right off the bat for x amount of effort every day ... that would be sweet...I think. Imagine going to meet some new people minus the 20, screwing up on the 'agreement', and being 20 pounds heavier when you see them the following week
Bunneh, most definitely count that as exercise. I did yard work for my auntie last year. I was sore for days afterwards. Now I pick up my nephews for that.
exhale, love the credit idea. We can only wish.
plexi, when I think the scale should be down it doesn't move. When I know I've made a noticeable mark in my program the scale doesn't move. Weight training tends to make things happen internally and the scale is not kind during those times. Once your body gets used to how to react to the new stress you will see a change.
novangel, how was it doing level 1 after being sick? Are you starting over or just doing level 1 to get back into the swing of the program?
Philly, I'm just did level 1 to get back into the swing of it and then jumping right back up to level 3. My thighs are very sore today! Going back after a week off is almost like starting over again. Ouch.
Ok, I think I'm over my slump time. Moving forward has been on my mind all week. I've been having an extreme sg moment. I think I'm over it. I've even started having body aches again. It did not dawn on me that I wasn't having them anymore until I was standing today for an extended period of time. That's really not a good sign. I'm actually sitting here watching the body revolution infomercial again. I'm trying to decide to suck it up and go back to it. What I liked about the program was the quick format, but I also burned a lot of calories. What do you guys think? Or should I just stick with les mills body pump? Thoughts?
Thanks Philly. I feel good about myself, but not great...at least not yet.

I don't know anything about Body Pump but you know me I'm ALL about Jillian 100%. I've heard nothing but good things about her DVD's. She's my new BFF but whatever works for you, Philly.
I REALLY did like Jill's inspirational talk throughout the workouts. I can just imagine her standing over me barking orders. I like the tough love approach. Body pump is an amazing program too. It's high rep work with challenging weight using barbells/dumbbells and varying counts like 4 count down-4count up, single count, 3 count down-1 count up....get the idea? The appeal of the program is they pride themselves on using very good music and the instructors are in super hero shape...lol
Philly, is it possible to alternate the two workouts? I like to mix things up, and the bodypump sounds really good. But whatever you decide to do, you'll still be movin' forward.
I got zero sleep last night...too much stimulation from the Zumba + caffein . For now I just want to get out of the house and meet some friends for breakfast. Later for the rest of the 'stuff'.
Update: Bought 2 tools for success : (1) an igloo bag to carry lunch; it's B&W and not ugly; and (2) a 'vision board' - The Oxygen gals use them to keep an eye on the prize. This is going to be a great month....
