Hi all! I am restarting again. Finished it last year then just stopped. Gained some weight and well...here I am again. I have a question......I am currently doing Fat flush. Do you all think I'm going to have trouble with my runs as I go along? I didn't do Fat flush last time I finished and had no trouble. Let me give you my sample daily menu...yesterday...
Right after wake up
8oz cranwater ( 8 oz unsweetened cranberry juice + 56 oz water drink through out the day) and 1T flaxseeds
Coffee
B 2 eggs, veggies, 1T flax seed oil
S apple
L flourless tortilla, 4oz ground beef, veggies
d whey protein, cauliflower, carotts
Cals 1347, fat 57g (38%),Protein 85g (25%), Carb 128g (37%)
So my carbs are okay but they come mostly from veggies and fruit. Think I'll be good for my runs?
Just failed w7d1. Got about ten minutes in and felt too shaky/lightheaded to continue running, so I stopped at walked. Will try again tomorrow. I may not have eat enough today. Hope everyone else is doing well!
TXteacher that sucks! I'm a teacher too, btw. I made it thru w1d2 this am. Barely. When I felt really I icky, I thought about your post and just tried to keep going.
pgm2012 and TXteacher2008, too bad about the tough runs, but they happen. Some days a run feels great, and others it seems like I just can't get into it for whatever reason.
I've also done 30ds before and have been thinking about adding that in at some point. I just recently started biking to and from school again with the warmer weather, so I want to adjust to the increased cardio before I do anything else. I've been feeling pretty tired but gradually gaining endurance.
Did two 30 min trail runs this week, really nice to get off the roads and into the woods and enjoy this early spring we're having! I'm a little disappointed with my speed though. The first run was 2.4 miles with hills and today 2.45 with no hills but more downed trees and roots to dodge. I guess it will take a while to get back to 10 min miles. I'm realizing this is the heaviest weight I've ever run at, I started c25k the first time when I was at least 25 lbs lighter than this, so I'm sure that affects my speed. That, and I've only been back at it for about 2 months. I'm thinking about slogging out 3 miles on Sunday no matter how long it takes and seeing how it goes.
Hi there, I just started C25k as well; 2 of my friends have done it and recommended it. I started Week 1 on Saturday and just completed Day 2. Have never been much of a runner but am loving the gradual way of doing it. Feels great! I'm hoping to do it 1st thing in the morning eventually but find I feel physically sick when I exercise first thing.
I've downloaded some of the podcasts to help time myself when I'm doing it alone. Anyone use them? Do you find them useful?
I'm also about to go buy some new running shoes. Any good recommendations for some that are good for running/other physical activities (like Zumba/circuit training classes)?
Great to see a thread up for this! Good luck to everyone!
Dernhelm, I run only in the early morning, and it's wonderful! Give it a try
I don't use podcast, I've used an App on my Android phone, now I use only my watch.
For the shoes.. I reccomend to go in a serious running store and ask help
Made it through 4/6 bursts. Plan to repeat until I get some stamina or something. Just want to be able to get out of the house and not look silly running
