thinsole: Thank you for the encouragement! I'm getting excited to almost be done!!
Today I completed week6! It was a bit of a struggle to finish the 2.25 miles, but I did it!!! Monday I'll be doing w7d1! I can't believe I'm so close to being done!
Keep up the great work!
Toonses- Thank you! I'm excited to almost be finished! Never thought I'd do it!!
It has been cold here as well. I've been going to the gym and running on the treadmill. Whimpy, but it works.
Out of curiosity, has anyone used an android application for Couch 2 5K? Those who have yet to reach onederland, how do you find the experience? Does it hurt your ankles or knees? I would like to start jogging but I am afraid that the impact of my weight will damage my joints. At 44, I don't bounce back as quickly as I used to...
I am going to start this program now! There is a 5K in 10 weeks, so I figured I'd start this week! I am nervous to begin this, and worry about fitting in the 3 days a week with my kids & hubby's schedule. But I have to schedule it for myself!
Hello again,
I'm back from three weeks in India, and yes, I did use the treadmill every second day at the hotel it was nothing super strenuous, more maintenance. Anyway, I've gone running again now twice, week 5 day 3 finished, and is it just me or have they changed the running times? I was using what used to be c25k on the iPhone, but now it is ease into 5 k's?
I have the app for this and wanting to start it, and despite not being overweight, I am majorly unfit, I can jog for about 30 seconds before getting out of breath, I heard this is good for pace. Is it really achieveable If I stick to it? I don't want to train for marathons etc, just want a healthier lifestyle, want to be healthy aswell as thin.
Finished Day 2 of week 1 today! Felt good. Shins are a bit sore, but that's ok. I plan on powering through. Tomorrow is my complete rest day. Looking forward to it, or at least my calves and shins are.
Toonses- Nice to see you're still here and running. The cold has put a nix on me running outside lately. It's been all treadmill for me.
Tidiprincess- Congrats on W7! Keep it up. You are so close to finishing!
osu2k1- Welcome! Congrats on W1D2! Remember to stretch well, it will help.
seaurchin- When I started C25K I was 225 pounds and hadn't run in 15 years. Invest in a good pair of shoes, stretch, and pay attention to your body. Little aches and pains from unaccustomed use you can deal with, major pain and you may have to back off and repeat a week. C25K is a place to start you moving, just move at your own pace.
I'm not sure if aka is still hanging around here or not. But I'm in the middle of week 4 for E210K. The four intervals of 8 minutes about killed me. It's not so much the jogging, it's the 1 minute walk in between intervals that's rough. It's not enough to catch you breath, but just enough to alert you to all your aches.
Thinsole-I'm heeere! I lost a bit of endurance over holiday break so I'm back at week 2 of e210k.
Isabella Olivia-Those feelings should pass as you continue on. You'll start to surprise yourself with how much faster and further you are running. You can do it!
