  • Finished Week 1 yesterday and will start Week 2 on Monday. =o)
  • SAPPHIREGIRL....So close! You have to tell us how the last run goes!!!
  • Aw, thanks for the encouraging words, free1!

I'll be sure to check in after my run tomorrow.
  • W6D2 done!
  • Hi I am new to C25K. Today was 1st day, quite easy and I enjoyed it. I am 4 months pregnant so it's a good way for me to pace and exercise for now.
  • W4D2 down!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It felt pretty good and I actually felt like I did more "exercising" today. One more day to go and then it's the dreaded W5 My 5K date is 6/2. I may actually hit that target...

Welcome SACHA....Let us know how you progress.
  • I'm thinking about starting this plan at the end of the month. There's a 5k to help our pregnancy center on June 16. I currently do Zumba three days a week.
  • After several attempts the last couple years, I have finally completed the C25K program!

My run was pretty good, got a little fatigued the last 1/2 mile but pushed through. I'm so happy I was able to stick with the program this time around and was able to do it for one main reason: my asthma was not holding me back! Taking the necessary precautions (zyrtec, inhaler) was crucial. One thing that I unfortunately could not get rid of were those darn side stitches! I had them on day 1 and had them tonight. Thankfully, my breathing always helped keep the pain level down to where I could finish my runs.

Congrats to everyone who is on the program and for those who are thinking about it, do it!
  • Congrats Sapphiregirl!!!
  • SAPPHIREGIRL....WOOHOOOOOOO....This is so inspirational. I was cheering you on and couldn't want to hear how the run went. Congrats for meeting the goal!!!! Wish us newbies well
  • I was doing the c25k last fall, but fell off the wagon this winter. My first 5k is in two weeks.

I've been getting back into it the last few weeks without following the schedule exactly. Yesterday I did run 10 walk 5 run 12, which puts me around week 5 or 6.

Tomorrow I am going to try my first bought of running with no walking.
  • W6D3 complete! Only three weeks left!
  • W4D3 done!!! I didn't eat well today...I went to the dentist today and my calorie count was very low. I didn't have enough "fuel." However, I didn't stop and kept going. On the last 5 minute run, I kept telling myself that walking was not an option. I'll rest for 2 days and refuel and then on to the dreaded W5. I'm already psyching myself up for the 20 minute run
  • W7D1 done!
  • Checking in....W5D1 completed! The last 5 minute run kicked my butt but I finished I usually eat half a banana or something before I go out in the morning. I didn't this time and wonder if that made a difference?
