Weight was up a bit today to 155.4. I did the 24 hr urine test last night and DH took it to oncology so they can send it to have it tested. The results should be in by Monday so I will know if I can get an infusion next Friday or have to wait a few more weeks instead.

I decided that since I still have doctor Li's book that I will look to see what foods he claims cures cancer. etc and try it. I will have my lists ready of the foods I want to include. It might work. The main thing I want to include is soy milk and edamame. Supposedly they fight cancer. I will get those things next week when DH goes to the grocery store. No store for today as we are having storms here, So we will spend the weekend home.

We didn't go to the casino but went to Rodneys for dinner. I had wings. I wanted to go to Dollar General on the way home for ice cream but I had to go to the bathroom so we came straight home. Now I want ice cream! Too bad!

I love edemame,and so does my grandson. I get shelled at Walmart. I always have some in my freezer. I eat them frozen but DGS liked them warm.

Our weather was beautiful today. Sunny and 70 degrees. I think this is going to follow into next week. We will probably get your storms soon.

Scale still at 179. I get an error message every time I get on. Error is right!!

I think I slept good, but not long enough. DH got up and made coffee and I wanted some. I was up earlier and let the dog out but didn't make coffee. DH likes to stay in bed til the coffee is done. So do I. We won't use the automatic setting.

Its raining. So much for sunny days.

DH leg is ok. No pain and the scab fell off from where he was digging with the needle. One problem averted. Thank God.

I'm not sure,but I think I'm having some energy. Not as tired. Not back to 100%. but improved. I won't tell DH until I'm sure. I sat outside in the sun yesterday,maybe that helped. The blooming lilacs didn't bother me. DH sat out on the front porch with the dog last night,so it was warm. Summer is coming! Yay!

Carol Sue I'm glad your DH leg is okay. Thankful God helped out on that one.

My weight isn't moving like it should be either, but that is my fault. I'm using up a lot of the foods that I do not need to replace if I want to eat to help my body fight cancer with food. I've decided I will spend tomorrow finding some of the foods that I like that I would eat that he says fights cancer. I will go to the store with DH this week to find what I will begin eating. I made a pitcher of tea so I can start drinking tea since weather is going to get warmer. I am back to allowing myself 2 to 3 c of coffee a day but will cut back to just 2 c when it gets hot. We had salmon for lunch today. I think it was an old one and hope it wasn't too old. We finished off the potatoes DH wanted in the roast we had last Sunday. I'm glad they are gone.

I wanted to sleep in this morning but had to get up to call my daughter. I will have to get up tomorrow to call my son. It is good to hear from them once a week. I'm surprised we haven't heard from DH DD and her DH. They will probably text any night now. I never like texting because I can't keep up cause I can't text that fast.

I am feeling really good not having had and cancer medicine in 4 weeks. I hope I can get one this coming week, but if I can't, I am going to see if the dentist can work me in to clean my teeth and fix any that needs to be fixed before I get bone density medicine otherwise, I will have to wait and have it done this summer I think he said 3 1/2 months after I get the Fosamax infusion.

Trish,do you have a smart phone? You probably do. When I text with step daughter,she uses voice,and just talks into the phone instead of typing. I want to get her to show me how to do that and you should learn,too. The only problem is sometimes it doesn't understand what you said and it types the wrong thing.

Yesterday a picture popped upon my phone and it said "5 years ago today.". It was a picture of BIL, step son, and DH, taken at bils birthday .party at the Moose when he turned 60. He died 3 years later. But my phone reminded me of his birthday. Isn't that wild? My phone never did that before. Poor Larry. We all miss him.

I drink coffee every morning,but I never drink it after 10 am. Even when its cold. DH drinks it all day and night. He rarely drinks anything else. I know how good tea is for me, even green tea, but I rarely drink it. I know I should start again.

Scale said 178 today and I slept 8.5 very good sleep. I think DH turned the tv off early. I realized this morning that I didn't use my Cpap. I also didn't turn on the talk show on the radio. Sometimes I need the white noise to fall asleep. I feel pretty good so far today.

Yesterday calories were 1083 and carbs were 72. I count whole carbs not net. Sodium was 1600 but protein was only 60. That's too low.

DH just left for McDonald's so Mcmuffin for breakfast.

Weight back to 154.6 lbs where it was the last time I checked into MFP officially. I'm out of muffins so no mcmuffins for breakfast here, I ended up drinking a protein shake DH got me a while back. I wanted a strawberry but not a big box of it so he got it locally and it was a store brand and I'm sugar it has sugar. I think I have 2 or 3 more I have to get rid of. I won't drink them any time soon. It has 350 calories and something like 19 g protein. I do have other good protein shakes Premier from Sam's that I use.

I realized yesterday when I had to use almond milk in my coffee that the almond milk is what is causing me to have potty issues. I won't be drinking it any more. I'm using my chocolate Premier Protein shake in my coffee until I get some creamer. Haven't decided if I will continue using Coffeemate or switch to H&H. I have until Tuesday to decide.

I only got to say hello to my DS as DDIL took over the phone and talked to me for an hour. She wanted to tell me about her doctor's appointment and her Lab results. She is pre-diabetic and is working to lose weight and get her health under control. Her Mom is diabetic and doesn't care to do anything to improve her life. She smokes way too much, lives on junk food and doesn't care if she dies. Very hard for DDIL because she doesn't want to be like her Mom. Any way she has hired a dietitian to help her with her diet and exercise.

We decided to have steaks today. I want to see what veggies I have and cook some for today as I need to start eating more of them.

Trish, I tried several different protein shakes at Walmart and the one I like bet is,called Pure Protein. I have had chocolate and strawberry and like them both. They come in a 4 pack for $8.xx. I only buy 4 at a time in case I get tired of them. I have one if I think my protein is low,like it was yesterday. Last time I bought them DH said "We have 20 of these at home,but he was wrong. I know I had less than 10, probably 6 at most.

Im sorry to heat that DDILs Mom is not taking her diabetes serIously. I went through a period like that. Never tested, ate whatever I wanted. I am still like that sometimes but for the most I stay under 100carbs. I don't think I will ever have fasting as good as yours. It is,very hard. But it is also hard to lose toes and eyesight.

Weight up a bit but I'm not surprised and that is all I need to say about that. It is time for me to get busy OP. I had my LC breakfast of 2 eggs, sl ham and sl cheese. I'm using Protein Power chocolate in my coffee. I will have to use the Almond milk to get rid of it but now sure how I will use it. Don't want potty issues that come with it. DH has gone to the store and I told him to only get 1/2 g soy milk because I don't know if I can use it or not. May just have to give up milk all together.

I talked to oncology this morning and I will get my infusion Friday at 1 pm and be back on routine. I will be glad to be back on plan. I don't know how much I can trust Dr. Li's research on disease fighting foods, but I will try it for a while. I made a list of the foods I like that are on his list and I am going to try it. According to him, you don't have to remove any foods you like, you just need to be sure you eat 5 of the foods from his list that strengthen the 5 systems in your body to prevent certain diseases. I actually haven't gotten into the actually matching those foods to each system as of yet.

I want to get my exercises done while DG us gone. Hope everyone has a good day.

I did not weigh this morning. No time we left early for breakfast at Bob Evans, Goodwill,and Walmart. We only spent $22 at Walmart! Lowest amount ever! I did not take Lasix yesterday but I think I will take it today. Only 1/2.

Trish,you can Google the foods that Dr Likes suggests and see if they show the same benefits as his recommendations. I read a lot of information online but don't always,remember it. I read something about the skin of apples but after I started buying apples I forgot why. I intended to eat one a day. I know it was not to keep the doctor away! Ha ha!

I ate such a big late breakfast at Bob Evans that I wasn't hungry for dinner. DH got McDonalds. I will eat something later.

Wow! Scale is up to 181!! I'm' very upset,but I'm doing this to myself!

I slept good but not long. 5.5 hours. I woke up at 3:30. I didn't get up until 8 but did. not fall back to sleep. I just listened to the radio.

Taxes are due today for our property. I gave the check to DH to take to the tax office since he was going to play the lottery across the street. They have a drop box so he put it in there and they will mail the receipt in the self addressed envelope I provided. Im glad he agreed to do it. We have not been able to go into the tax office since the pandemic. There were others putting their payment in the drop box so he was ok with it.

Scale isn't moving up or down so I will be happy with that since I'm adjusting to this new way of eating. So far no problem eating oranges and grapes or drinking soy milk and the milk tastes good. DH tasted the milk and said it wasn't bad. It isn't cheap calorie wise 110 calories per 8 oz. Just thinking that it may be true that this way of eating will stop cancer cells from growing is really helping me to eat this way. I hope it works. Any way it gets me to eat healthy.

This week has started out very well so far. I'm not tracking on MFP yet. I thought I would get used to the diet before tracking it. I am working on at least a 4 day exercise routine this week. Don't know if I will do 5 days of exercise of not. I'm just taking it one day at a time.

Scale is,still at 181, so I guess its right. I didn't take a fluid pill for 2 days,but I took a half yesterday but didn't pee a lot. Maybe I took half of something else,not the fluid pill. Whatever. I need to stop eating so many carbs. I was at 178 carbs yesterday and high calories,too. I am like a person who is earing what they want, not watching for diabetes. I know better.

I think I've been sneaking lunch into my woe. Im eating breakfast too early and then eating lunch,instead of just having brunch. I've been eating some of DHs lunch, which is usually carbs. And then I end up eating dinner when I'm not hungry. So back to 2 MAD and a shorter eating window.

Sleep was ok. 8 HR 4 min, but I was awake for some time around 3 am. I didn't put my Cpap on until around 4-5 and then slept til 9 am. So that's the part of it that was good sleep.

I think your new food plan will work well for you. I don't like almond milk but never tastes soy. Step daughter uses almond milk because she is lactose intolerant. She always drank cows milk as a child and did get tummy aches.But now she gets potty issues so she switched. She was never officially diagnosed.

I want to start buying oranges again. DH will peel one and we will split it. We do that with bananas,too. DH told me to stop buying apples,because we threw them out twice,but I want to go back to eating them. I like them,but have to push myself to eat them.

I feel better today.

Well my weight is up again today to 158.2. Too close to 160 also FBG was 117 too many carbs in the evening outside eating window. BP was excellent. I have to reel things on my eating. As usual when I start a new plan, I can have foods that I like which don't work well with FBG and weight so I usual find that there are foods that may be allowed on the plan, but I cannot handle them. Example, one of the foods that is good for keeping cancer cells from growing is licorice and I love it and I am eating too much of it. Also I've been eating fruit at night and that needs to be moved to earlier in the day and go back to my cut off hour of 6 pm and eat nothing else. I think I'm eating plenty of healthy cancer fighting foods, but I just need to forget some of the foods that are too carby. There are foods that I never allow in the house because I can't control serving sizes. So I know exactly how you feel Carol Sue.

Well, I'm behind. I need to get my exercises done before I decide not to do them. I want to get back to a full week of them. Week of infusion, I usually do just 4 days and the weeks no appointments, I try to do 5 days, but I've been lax on it lately and need to get with it again. I've decided that I want to see 150 and then shoot for 140.

We are at the old casino. ,Not happy. We stopped at step sons andi got to see DGS. I havent seen him since Christmas. I was happy to see him.


I am very. hungry. I'm trying to work thru it. I ate before we came but it didnt hold. me over. Nothing in the food court interests me. Everything is high carb and i've been low,carb so far today. Hunger is not an emergency. I have plenty of fat to live on.

Scale down 4 lbs,to. 177. Lots of fluid loss yesterday evening and overnight. My ring was very tight and I felt like I was blown up like a balloon. I took 1/2 a Lasix at the casino and the other half when I got home. It worked. I was getting way too close to 200. I don't want my weight to start with 2 ever again. I don't like it starting with 17 either after it started with 16 after my procedure,but I will work on that.

DH sounds like he is getting a cold. I sure hope I don't get it! Its hard to avoid when you sleep together every night.
