Hey ladies! I don't have time to catch up with personals until Thursday but it looks like everyone is on track, even if McDonalds messes up the occasional order! Keep it up everybody!!!

Today I'm having 1729 calories, 93 carbs, 135 proteins! Doing my biggest loser circuit tonight! I have to tell myself the whole time "if I can just make it through this workout, I will succeed!" I'm sore and I'm tired but I am ready for the change!! If I, being admittedly the laziest person I know, can push through so can you!! I refuse to let my body defeat my will!

Have a great Tuesday! Lots of hugs and support!!

Tues Jan 10
B= 2 c milk, vits, 1 c cereal, 1/2 milk
L= 1/2 Chickfila grilled wrap, 2 TB honey-mustard dressing, 1 choc pecan
D=Rachael Ray's Chicken Tortilla Soup + 13 tortilla chips
S= 2 sugar cookies,
E= 2 separate 25min Classical Stretch {stretch fusion workouts}

Calories = 962 Hmmm, may have a snack later. {had an apple +100}

Dispite the workouts I wasn't very active today. I went to the specialist, sat, got home, did a few loads of laundry, sat {hey, I just push a button not go beat clothes on a rock}, cooked dinner, sat, played on computer a lot, well, sitting. I feel much better but don't have a lot of energy, tire quickly, so the sitting is probably very good. At least I'm not napping all day anymore like last week.

So! I missed being in the loop and just couldn’t wait for Thursday to catch back up!
Medellia: lol I purposefully go to Mcdonalds…I usually order a burger without a bun and they have only messed that up once….how can you mess up no bun? Lol Anyway your doing great and I hope you feel better ASAP!
Mandy: Hope your day was awesome today! I’m rooting for you to be OP!!
KimL: Even if the lunch you brought was higher calories, I’m positive it was a healthier choice than ordering out! We have two rat terriers who are VERY high energy…but luckily they are no longer in a chewing stage!! (though two of our kitchen chairs have chunks missing from the legs…the oldest was a wood chewer!)
Penguin: That happens to me (sickly hunger cues) whenever I am sick or over exhausted…it certainly does not aid in the consumption of the needed calories! Yay for the doctors report! LOL if we didn’t have modern conveniences we would all be fit with no extra workouts! (good thing since we would never have the time for anything other than cleaning!)
Chicksinger: Your doing a great job and as far as workouts go, you can do whatever you put your mind to!!
FBP: Your doing awesome! Keep up the hard work at the gym, it’ll totally be worth it!
Gettinfit: Hope you are feeling better today!

I now know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am going to make it through this year and lose this weight. This week has been a challenge: Working 14 hours a day (with two high energy boys), working out 50 minutes a day, only getting about 6 hours of sleep, packing and prepping lunches and dinners (because when I work so late, I just eat dinner while I'm there...but have to pack my own because they are super carbolicious eaters). Never mind that I am on my cycle for the first time in two months (though I thought I had one coming in December...) I just came off of BC so I'm normalizing. My husband works out of town for 4 days at a time so I am home alone. The way I see it, if I can workout and eat right this week, I won't have any excuses next week!

Hi everyone! A quick post - I will catch up with you and do the personals a bit later. Just wanted to share that at yesterday's WI I was down 3.6lbs! And that was after eating a whole serving of the Quesadilla Burger at Applebee's on Monday... it was so yummy too. I don't recommend it, as it was 37 PointsPlusValues (more than my entire day's worth!) but I did a lot of walking, worked out after that and didn't stress or beat up on myself for making the choice. Stressing adds pounds, you know! Seeing that on the scale is motivation to stay OP - and also helps me understand that eating the occasional greasy burger only derails me if I view it as a derailer.

Hope everyone is having an OP day!

Quick check in! I'm at 1432 calories, 69 carbs, 131 proteims! Lack of sleep is getting to me but today is the last day I have to work late so I can push through one more late workout! Tricia, that's a great realization to have, the occasional treat is not your enemy! Awesome job on loss! Keep out up!!

Friday we have our last meeting with home builders before they start construction! Yay!!

Tricia Fierce~ I love your attitude about the occasional treat or "cheat!"

tavvy~ I'm so excited for you and glad that you have such a great attitude about working towards your goals!!!

patchworkpenguin~ At least you got your workout in though! How are you doing today? I wish I could stop using the crate, but it would be a disaster. I left her out for two hours once while I was at basketball, and she tore up a couch cushion, busted through the fence to the laundry room and found every sock she could and tore those up!

Rough day today craving wise. I want everything I see, and am trying to figure out how I can solve this issue without going nuts. I have a hard time controlling myself once I go off plan, and tend to have a way of ruining a whole day instead of just one meal. I really want red meat or pizza. I was thinking, I might get a couple of the Lean Cuisine Steak Portabello as they only have 150 calories in them... or I could check out the LC Pizza's, or peruse the other pizzas and see what I'm looking at calorie wise, maybe that would deter me. UGH!

I have more energy today but its cold and raining outside {which means it feels colder inside} and its supposed to snow tomorrow!!! Yuck! Why do we always get bad weather on the two days I week I have to leave the house early???

My anti-'formal exercise' Hubby texted me today and asked when we could do another one of my new workouts??? Yay, I'm converting him at last! He's always had physically demanding jobs but now has mostly desk/paper/computer work. {does paperwork still exsist?}

Kim L, We adopted April as an adult from the HumSoc, she was about a year or so and had lived her entire life in the backyard. We brought her home and she adjusted to being inside very well. On the evaluation sheet they gave us it said 'accepts confinement well' so we wanted to go grocery shopping and closed her up in the bathroom. We got home an hour later and were horrified to find she had torn up the door, rugs, basket, window blinds {!!!}, and had chewed the trim up around the door up to three feet high. She must have stood on her back legs for a while to do that. We couldn't believe she had done that and from then on let her have the run of the house. We've had the occasional chewed up object but nothing like what happened in the bathroom. She's about 9 now.

Tricia, great job on the loss! Your burger sounds good!

Tavvy, great idea to set the pattern for the rest of your weightloss.

Hello ladies,

Just a quick check in as I'm still not feeling good. I've stayed OP but no exercise yesterday or today. Tonight I can't taste anything and don't want to eat but I will force down some soup.

Congrats on your loss Tricia.

I'll check back for personals later. Have a great evening ladies and keep up the great work! This is going to be our year

Hey everyone! I'm sorry I've been MIA. I've been insanely busy and just don't have much time to be online right now. Things have been going better. I finally got a car. This weekend I'm driving up to TN to get my dogs. My brother has had them for almost 2 months now so it will be great to finally have them around again. I have a job interview tomorrow. I'm really excited and nervous, it's been a long time since I've been to an interview, hopefully they like me and I get it because it's pretty much the perfect hours, a good salary and I think I'll like the work I'd be doing.

I really really need to get better about being on here. Hopefully soon! I hope everyone is doing great!

Penguin My 11 yr old fox hound did the same thing when we got her from a shelter in the thumb area here almost 9yrs ago. She suffered from anxiety when we left she went crazy and even ate my couch. She managed to get in the bathroom and shut the door she put a hole in the wall from scratching at it for so long.

Tricia Congrats!!

I will post more later. I have a 19 month old thats sick and my 2 1/2yr old wont leave things alone. Also my 10yr old wants me to read him a story before bedtime. It doesnt stop around here.

Wed, Jan 11
B= 2 c milk, 1 c cereal, 1/2 c milk 287
L= 1/2 Longhorn Fontina Chicken sand 340
S= 1/2 apple + 2TB PB 250
D= serving homemade Easy Chicken Potpie 350
S= last sliver of pumpkin pie, 2 Lindor Truffles 150
S= grapes 62
E= 25min Classical Stretch

Calories = 1590

I have an early morning tomorrow, and I'm subbing for another leader at Bible study; I'm not crazy about speaking in public but I've gotten much better at it in the last year. Practice helps.

FBP, I hope your little one feels better tomorrow and its calmer around you home.

Kim, glad to hear from you. I bet the dogs will be happy to see you too. Does your DD miss them too?

Gettin, sounds like you have my cold/sinus thing. I promise I tried not to breathe on the screen.

Just stopping by to say hello to the Beauties!! I've still been reading everyday and it sounds like everyone is doing amazingly well...I'm impressed!!

GettinFit ~ I hope you feel better.
Kim ~ GOOD LUCK with your job interview!! And it's awesome that you are getting your dogs back.
Penguin ~ Yes, practice, practice, practice makes public speaking easier. Just remember that most people don't like speaking in front of others, so don't be too panicked.
Tricia ~ Wow, 3.6 pounds...that is AMAZING!! Great job!
tavvy ~ You are doing great, girl...keep it up!

To all the new January peeps, hello! For those of you who don't know me, I was on this board from last January through this past December when I found out I was pregnant. I still visit daily to see how everyone is doing and to keep up with all my old peeps and also to see who all the wonderful newcomers are!

My all-day nausea has finally subsided and I am so thankful for that. It really sucked eating cheese fries and grilled chicken sandwiches because that's all I could seem to stomach (well, it really didn't suck, but I just hated the calories!!). I'm back to eating my healthy foods and exercising again. It feels really good. I hope you all have a great day!

Couldn't pull off another late workout. I was falling asleep in the car driving home. I am still going to do my six days this week though! My goal is to workout for 300 minutes every week! So far I've done 150 this week! I'm still exhausted but am proud of myself for all I've done so far! Today I'm having 1454 calories, 83 carbs, and 131 proteins!

Gettin, hope you feel better soon!

Hi ladies!

GettinFit - Feel better!
Tavvy - Six days of exercise this week is awesome! I think its better not to work out when you're exhausted - good reason to skip a day.
Kim - good luck with your interview! Let us know how it goes.
Penguin - good luck with your bible study session. Public speaking is something I'm working on also.
FBPenguin - hope the baby recovers quickly. for dealing with all of that!
Emme - hey girl! Glad the nausea subsided. What kinds of exercise do you do, given the pregnancy?

If I missed anyone:

I just read this really great blog post on one of my fave weight-loss bloggers, and this quote really got to me - thought y'all would appreciate it too!
There were plenty of days where I messed up and ate something I knew I shouldn’t have – not because I’m a dieter, but because I’m changing my habits and sometimes running on “auto-pilot” gets the best of us. I don’t use that as a “sign that this isn’t for me,” a “sign that I’m destined to be unhappy with myself,” or a “sign that I need to call it quits.” I use that as a reminder that change is hard, frustrating and a sign that the goals I want to achieve will require much more reflection, introspection and patience than I’d originally budgeted for in my mind.
From here: Q&A Wednesday - "Falling Off" (and "Getting Back On") the Wagon

I'm having a really great OP day so far. Also, I've managed to make my breakfast, lunch and dinner every day this week, which for me is an accomplishment (I live and work near lots of good restaurants)! I find that planning and making my own food as much as possible makes staying OP so much easier.

Hope everyone's having an OP day!

I love that paragraph you put in your post above...very inspirational!!

As far as exercise, I'm only 10 weeks so I am still pretty agile. I'm doing a lot of walking and I am also spinning, doing yoga, some Zumba, and some cardio kickboxing (like dance boxing, not hardcore kickboxing!!). It makes me feel like "me" again.
