dudesmom. That's awesome.
Also, I skip w3d2 and did w4d1 today as i said i would last time.
The workout was great, I can jog for 5 minutes non-stop, and i'm pretty sure I can handle more than that if i have to - so it was a nice jog.
I think i will stay at week 4 for the rest of the week to build up my stamina a little bit more. I wasn't worn out but I want to be able to feel real refresh after a run instead of completely exhausted.

p/s: Bac0s, I wish I can be klutzy. I find it really cute lol. You know, being able to trip over nothing is a skill that not everyone can master. No i'm not kidding. In my country, girls are supposed to be kind of klutzy and not strong so guys can protect them. Ahhh... I guess it's just an asian thing. T_T

Way to go, Dudesmom!!! I don't think I could do that.

I completed W3D1 yesterday- the day after I completed Week 2. I thought W3D1 went by SO fast! The three minute run went on forever it seemed, but the total of the program was nothing.

I also used my Bondi Band for the first time and AM IN LOVE! I have a ton of hair and a big head and headbands don;t stay on ever. This didn't budge AND my sweat didn't drip into my ears.

I've also had THREE friends start/ say that are starting C25K since reading about it on my blog adn on Facebook. That makes me so happy!

@Stephanie - I literally got up off the couch and started running. I did no prep work at all. One day I was laying in bed eating Little Debbie Snack cakes and the next day I was doing C25K. And I survived!

Congrats to everyone. Y'all are totally rockin' it!

I managed to hit three "You are now a runner" milestones today - I got lost, I ate bugs, and I peed in the bushes.

I decided to run at the MetroPark and when I checked the map I decided to do the loop off the main trail that supposedly went in a U and circled back to the main trail. The map failed to show all the Y's in the road that led me in complicated confused circles.

I kept going....and going...and going, munching on a few protein snacks (bugs) along the way. I finished my three mile run, I still was not back at the main trail, I was officially LOST, and I had to pee. I was in the middle of nowhere, so I just peed in the bushes (and hoped there was no poison ivy or curious critters around).

A two-mile walk somehow brought me back around to the main trail, and I ran the final mile. So my 3 mile run became 3 mile run - 2 mile walk - 1 mile run! And I was late for work.

I love being a runner!

Rochester,
Did you take any rest days from running in the couple of days before your 5K?
I am really sore today and think I will only do one more 3.1 mile practice before my 5k on Sunday.

Rochester - your post really made me laugh! I actually inhaled my first insect whilst running today. I could see a swarm of the little gits, and I managed to suck one right in. Fortunately, no-one was around at the time so there was nothing to stop me making some really gross noises and spitting to try and get it out!

I did W2D2 this morning and I actually found it quite hard. I didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the other runs I've done so far, but I'm pretty sure it's because I wasn't in the right frame of mind, and didn't really do anything to try and change that. When I woke up, I was feeling quite lazy, and stayed in bed a bit longer than I needed to, but I think if I'd made the decision to be a bit more energetic, the run would have been far more enjoyable. The other thing was that it was incredibly warm and dazzlingly bright out where I was running by the sea this morning - the reflection off the water was really glaring, and I think that combined with the heat made me feel more tired. I think I also made the mistake of repeatedly checking the time (e.g., seeing how much more I had to do), rather than just getting "in the zone" and listening to the podcast for prompts, which just made it feel like more of a slog. I'm determined to do Friday's run with a better attitude!

Does anyone else monitor the time when they do C25K whilst listening to a podcast, and do you find this helps/hinders your progress?

I did W3D2 today and it stunk- LITERALLY! I'll be blogging this soon but I literally almost ran into a SKUNK! I was on my 5 minute warm up and it was in the bushes right in front of me. I saw that tail raising and I FLEW back the other way. So I got an extra sprint in but it could have been a baaaaaaad situation!

I stuff my ipod in my bra and don't look at it until it says "cooldown" lol. I can't watch it or I'll be too focused on 'when can I stop?'.

Meeky2004: Oh my god I totally understand. I cannot look at the time because I will be like counting every second until when can i stop lol. And it totally makes the jog longer than it seems. I usually watch an episode of my favorite show to pass time.

I wish I could watch TV, that would make life so much easier . I'm in Japan and gym memberships are ridiculous so I run outside. But I'll be heading home this October so I'll be hopping on a treadmill in my near future lol. I just finished my W1D2 run literally 20 min after doing 30DS . I'm super proud of myself though

I jog outside and watch the sky, I love watching the sun come up or even just the clouds floating by. My Ipod died the other day, thankfully it lasted through the intervals. I am going to have to try and reset it, hopefully it is not completely gone.

tinycities - there are good days jogging and there are bad days, even when you are having an unmotivated day you can atleast be proud that you stuck it out and kept on moving going. Thankfully there are alot more good days. The

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually looking forward to my jogs! I've never been the type to even like a brisk walk, I mean I would get mad when my friends would dust me on a casual stroll LOL! But now I feel so powerful, even if I'm only on my first week . I'm looking forward to the day that I wake up early for my usual run

Sounds like everyone is doing really good. I'm still concentrating on W4, I did D3 yesterday, and doubled it again. I have a lot on my mind right now, and running seems to be therapeutic. I can either spend my time running and mulling stuff over, which sometimes puts stuff in perspective, or I can just run and zone, lose myself in what I'm doing, which is also nice. I'm already thinking about moving on to W5, but I really don't know. I feel like I could handle it, even thought it's a bit scary. I guess I'll figure out tonight what I'm going to do!

Thanks leannerenee, I've been doubling it since the very beginning, so it's not a huge stretch right now. I don't think I'll manage to get a run in tonight though. Both my boys are sick and not sleeping well, so I wouldn't be able to run (uninterrupted) until my husband gets home, which won't be til after 11 tonight. This day has just not gone how I wanted it to! Hope tomorrow will be better!

Thank you And you are completely right. I did W2D3 this morning and really enjoyed it, very much looking forward to continuing with the programme! It really helped me to not look at the time at all, and just focus on how my body feels, the pace, and the lovely scenery around me. I'm definitely going to restrain myself from checking the time in the future, it makes the runs so much more enjoyable when you just relax into them!
